  1. Hi Ed, sorry for the late reply cos recently bz din come into this forum The Waterfall tap's brand is Nobel and although many places hv them - I managed to find cheapest at Royal Fanco - $168 (bo bian I like its transformer look) and oh ya btw there is a shorter version costing $128 or $148 i think . Regretted not buying the shorter version for my common toilet oso
  2. Well Said.... & Very True. In fact, according to my ID , my place was renovated at the "old price" and wef 1st Jan 2011, renovation will cost more as her subcontractors hv all jacked up their prices.... haiz... even my favourite wan ton mee and kopi had gone up liao after CNY... BTW, to those who have asked ah zhizz for Jessie's contact, if u din get a reply from him (most likely he bz or din log in to this site - cos he had been very helpful to me during my reno days), u can pm me for Jessie ctc too. Cheers
  3. oic your main hobby is to move house and your supplementary hobby is to increase wardrobe size per move
  4. Hi May, Just wanna share some lobang with u If u wanna mover - look for helping hands - cheap, fast, efficient, careful If u wanna store rack for your home shelter - go to www.storerack.sg I just moved in to my place on Sat, Helping Hands - really good and today use Storerack to rack up my Home Shelter. FYI only hor... not vested ..
  5. hi May, just pop by to lclc, sorry no time to go thru your blog yet... cos in the midst of shifting house (tomorrow) and subsequently unpacking but since I chance on this post.... just wanna tell u what I heard from my fan installer. My fan installer told me that he has experienced difficulty in installing fans from Malaysia cos it need a lot of try and error to balance the fan as it swings non stop.. IMHO, sanitary fittings, fan, light fittings better not try your luck cos if they turn out to be lemons, u have hard time to get them exchanged and not to mention the labour cost of replacing them..... perhaps curtains and piece meal furnitures u can consider to buy from JB though personally I dare not try my luck. Meanwhile good luck to your renovation.... hope u hv a smooth journey..
  6. look on the bright side, your wardrobe is the size of my kitchen cabinet i think
  7. bo bian leh, we dun wanna cramp up our master and walk like a crab. So Room 2 is a so call wardrobe with dressing table ..... while Room 3 will be my Computer room. ps May, my wardrobe is only 8.5 ft which looks gigantic but only half of your wardrobe to be ....kekeke
  8. Sorry kenlim_76, I am unable to give u a detailed breakdown but I can safely say my renovation all in excluding furniture, lightings, aircon is near to $40k.
  9. ya loh, initially tot of knocking down bedroom 2 & 3 to form master bedroom but it is absurd right to have to make one's way to the common toilet in the middle of the night when the need arises.... The master room is so small until we have to have our wardrobe in another room so as to accomodate our king size sea horse storage bed (if it is not less than 1 year old, we would have discarded it and hv a queen size bed instead so as to be able to hv a wardrobe).
  10. I tried but cannot leh... nevermind... i used screenhunter and this is what I managed to do Pine Close 5 Room layout is really not very nice cos rooms are far apart so I cant hack down another room to make my Master bigger.... no choice... since my 1st consideration is it must be very near to mrt and my favourite hawker centre hahaha
  11. thanks yumiko but sorry my floor plan is in pdf format... so cannot be uploaded onto my photobucket.. will try to get someone to scan it into jpeg format so pls give me some time. Cheers
  12. Hi SuperSimon, IMHO, May is the 1st person that DARE to ask u... guess there are many many people like me who PAISAH to ask....

  14. Kitchen the wood and masking tape is to be removed 3 days after installation. view from dining area
  15. Yes I concurred with u May for your viewing pleasure... the end result...
  16. no worries on offence, cos renovation is based on one's liking and opinion... Ya that wall can be considered huge but then on the left of the pic is the entrance so actually not much space to manouver if I were to have a bigger shoe or display cabinet, moreover we like to keep it as bare, simple and uncluttered as possible. Below is a pic of the wall b4 renovation.
  17. Jessie of Inside Living, I mentioned earlier at the start of my posting.
  18. Some of the perspective drawings given by my ID.... err ... except for the master toilet perspective... which is ugly cos the actual one turn out much better while the rest.... turn out just like the perspective if not better... Kitchen Dining

  21. hi May_dream1 thanks for reading and good luck to your Reno too. Will try to upload many pics but somehow lately encountered many problems with photobucket.. meanwhile see if this link works Two pics of the pre reno kitchen
  22. First of all, I have to say it again.... thanks to ah zhizz for his recommendation of Senior ID Jessie Pang from Inside Living. Really grateful and thankful that she managed to accept me as a customer hahaha (I have heard of many ah zhizz's referrals who were not accepted by her... due to her heavy workload and she regretfully have to pass to her other colleagues) so I was pleasant surprised that she AGREED to meet me then in Oct 2010 - 3 mths b4 taking possession of keys from ex owners. Briefly, why Jessie seems ideal to me.... ( pls note : there are of course some ID & contractors who maybe as ideal but we really dont have the time and patient to evaluate everyone right ? ) well as ah zhizz has correctly pointed out, the deciding factor is whether the ID u going to appoint... is someone who can perceive your requirements, sincerely work within your budget, no hidden agenda like exorbitant Variation Orders, aint pushy on his / her concept, keen eye for details, good color sense / matching and most importantly CAN CLICK with both u and your spouse and of course with a reasonable quotation. Meanwhile give me time to upload some of my pics and oso obtain some perspective drawings (in soft copy from Jessie) and then I will try to post here.. Happy labbit year to all.. Cheers
  23. Hi all, Have benefitted alot by reading from this forum and now that my renovation is coming to a close.... I would like to give my own contribution, opinion etc especially for newbies on renovation matters.... well I am oso a newbie myself... As I am relative new to starting a T blog and thus may not know how to attach pics etc.. pls bear with me... I intend to keep it short... by showing.... pics of b4 renovation, perspective drawings (well... there aint many) and pics after renovation.... so feel free to ask and if I know the answers, I surely will assist.
  24. hi BlurRhino Your prespective drawings very swee... and good luck to your renovation ... hope your journey is a pleasant one. Your main focus seems to be the kitchen ...wow very impressive and awesome but the living area looks kinda small... maybe instead of wallpapers can consider some mirror to give a bigger impression. Noted in your siggy that u are using Mitsubishi System 3 non inverter too, did u upgrade from the standard 3/8 inches to 1/2 inches armflex for the trunking ? Is it advisable to upgrade ? Thanks
