Had a bad experience at one of the shops in Balestier, ran by a husband and wife team - Fl**** Lights. The first time i went there I saw this mushroom light that i quite liked but din buy cos it was too early then. Wanted to look around first before buying. The lady boss was quite friendly and told us that the light just arrived a few days ago and stocks are running low... We told her we will consider first. The second time we went, the light was still there. It was the lady boss who served us again but she didn't remember us. She told us the light was very new... just arrived a few days ago and stocks are running low. We knew she used the same sales tactic but we still bought it cos we like the lamp. Never did we expect that the bulbs the boss gave us were too big and when the electrician installed it, the light broke... we went back with the light to ask for exchange. We walked in and pretend to be some interested customers looking at the same mushroom light. The same lady boss approached us and told us that it was very new, just arrived a few days ago. I was quite pissed off and told her that i bought the same light almost one month ago, how could it be new. She was very embarrassed at that moment, cos there were customers who overheard me. I told her what happened and ask for a new one. She replaced it for me but still ask me to top up another 2 bucks cos the bulbs she gave us were cheaper. We were quite pissed off but still pay her lah... but we told ourselves we will never step into this shop again.

252 is another unit at our block 471.... mr segarian typed wrongly... should be only 133 not 233... LOL

i took keys in March... now only about 3 months.... planning to move in by July....

actually i tot of parking at the carpark directly opp our unit... cos can see the car.... the other one a bit far... our block still got empty units meh... tot all taken up liao except showflat.... i think only #252 got vacant ones.... i think hor u can ask HDB to pay you for using your flat as showflat... haha.... Hey Air, we really can see each other thru the windows wor... haha but i have no idea which is your unit....

haha... last week was the hacking and stuff.... so very noisy and dusty.... where u park? opposite or the carpark at our area?

Hey Segarian, Finally see your post... you MIA for quite long huh.... haha my house still undergoing reno.... end June then complete.... how's the neighbourhood so far?

my house still undergoing reno so not sure about the dust... but i think will not affect much cos our block quite a distance from the expressway...

the park connector leads to Bangkit area.... and then can go all the way to dairy farm... if you walk further, can actually lead to bukit timah liao...

that's quite reasonable.... cos i think your house looks very nice.... directly opposite mine... then we can see each other through our windows liao... haha...

Hi Air, how much is your reno cost? which blk you staying?

ya i hacked everything in both toilets.... that cost a lot liao... but we really can't stand it lor.... imagine got to see everyday.... i also hacked the MBR and secondary bedroom walls to make our MBR bigger.... and construct a WIW... so i only have 2 bedrooms now...

i am staying at blk 471... my kitchen wall tiles slightly better than toilet... grey tiles with flowers.... initiallly i also want to hack away everything but no lah save money... only replace the few with flowers.... but kitchen floor i cannot stand.... haha.... so ugly...

here's a pic of the bathtub... its the smallest that i can find.... length is slightly less than 1.4m

my reno cost around 35k.... if it hadnt been for both toilets i could have spend lesser.... i can't stand the wall tiles, toilet bowls and vanity.... they are all PINK.... I wish they gave us plain white... so much nicer.... haiz... I bought Ariston storage heater 30L for $220.... think quite reasonable... can use for both toilets and i can enjoy soaking in my bathtub...haha

you bought 1 storage heater for only MBR toilet ah? hmm... that's a bit wasted leh... i bought storage heater for both MBR and common toilet... but not sure how contractor going to run the pipings... hope the pipes wun be too ugly...

my reno only halfway done.... now into second week only... most of my furnitures all bought le.... pending for delivery... me too very very dry now... still got wedding somemore.... *sign* thinking of moving in by July cos my reno targeting to complete by end June... but dunno yet leh... cos my solemnization and customary next year Jan... so not sure if its a good idea... we are ok but dunno parents will object or not... but then again, not good to leave the place empty... maybe will start shifting in bit by bit.... You ROMed already? Oh ya if i remember correctly. you are the one who ask abt the storage heater rite? My contractor say no prob if we want to have storage heater but he will have to connect the pipings from common bathroom to MBR bathroom.... so what did you do eventually on the heaters?

you can install after reno done but the truncking cannot be hidden liao... think you got to check with contractor...

ya i agree... many of my friends commented that the price is cheap for an EA.... as compared to other areas.... how's your reno? completed? when you targeting to shift in?

I bought mine in Jan this year... cos my relative also looking at the flats around this area and they happened to find that the prices are different compared to Jan... went up by 20+k for EA... wow... Now that i think about it, realised that after we completed the transaction in Jan, the WIS closed and HDB blocked the area for 1 or 2 months before releasing again in April with the price increase....

i think certain plans are quite concrete liao.... cos the prices of the flats around this area went up by around 20k.... luckily we bought the flats before the prices went up...

unless they shift the interchange otherwise the MRT station will be at bukit panjang station... very unlikely segar... sigh...
