2022 construction costs
fanmily replied to fanmily's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
Snoozee is spot on the costing. Easily 450psf now if you keep to regular items (no fancy Italian marble etc). I’m doing my place now at 550psf as I have an additional facade to deal with. on the loan, I was personally recommended by mortgage broker to take on equity loan. I.e house owned by parents, me as guarantor. Max amount issued by bank was 50% of valuation of house or your loan borrowing limit per mas ruling. -

Starting a new journey

Hello! I just started my journey too but a lot of it is guided by my architect. He purchased a couple of plans before I made my purchase actually. After purchase, He arranged for topo, soil, asbestos for us. Basically going thru a 3 quote process to find a suitable vendor. Im now onto next phase! Hope my summary works. -

Thanks all! What kind of roof do you all suggest? My roof has no rc balcony. Just a roof… the pe said the same about additional support needed and see if I can live with the look. So I was wondering anyone did so I can see how it looks like. -

I’m exceeding because I decided to push back to 8.5m. That’s why thinking of cantilever that’s 6.1m. So wondering if anyone had luck with no additional beam for 6.1m. -

Hi! Anyone with cantilever roof for car porch that’s more than 5.1m? I want to know if you have extra pillar supporting it. Thanks! -

Thanks snoozee! Working through these things and one of things that came up is smart home. Tried to search around in the forum? Anyone manage to connect everything together using one app? From gate to lights to switches? -

Thanks snoozee. Decided on getting ar. But can’t decide on a&a or rebuilt. I guess with my budget of 1m for everything it’s going to be a&a. Any pro tip on saving costs whilst still being luxurious like having marble floor? -

Thanks snoozee. I should be getting an architect. Seems more transparent than me trying to source and compare rates with design and build on my own. Im doing reconstruction.
