  1. I had my house done up by Xclusiv. Dealt with Ken most of the time, and towards the end with Jason (Ken's assistant?). There are good and bad with this company. I did my a feature wall for living room, completely redo 2 baths, dropped down ceiling, repainted the entire place, rewired some points, built a walk-in walkrobe for master and rebuilt the upper hung of kitchen cabinet. Overall, I find the quality of work to be ok -- but I need to qualify properly. 1. EXCELLENT: Carpentry for walk-in wardrobe, kitchen cabinet & feature wall. Workmanship is good. Painting works no problem. 2. GOOD: Bathrooms (except tiling work was ****ty! I noticed after moving in that some tiles were not laid straight and one or two of the tiles were chipped and the contractor happily fixed it up nonetheless.) 3. HORRIBLE: Electrician. You need to monitor the electrician carefully. We have so many problems. Firstly, all sockets were not grounded at all. I got so many electric shocks when I use my laptops, until I cannot tahan and ask them to come back and look into it. I was shocked that the electrician did not bother to ground any of the sockets. SECONDLY. the sockets were loose. The contractor said he doesn't want to tighten it because he fears the plastic would crack. However, if loose then all my sockets move sideways whenever I plug in. THIRDLY, fixing of lights was done with no quality control. Until today (3 mths after moving in), I have to climb up & down the ladder to fix the fluorescent tube because part of the string of fluorescent lights would not turn on properly. Already asked electrician to fix earlier. He's hopeless. FOURTHLY, we noticed that when the guy fixed the lighting, the wires were not properly tucked in. FIFTHLY, one of our fans would short-circuit the whole house whenever we turned on. After calling in the fan specialist, we realized it was the electrician's fault, not a manufacturing problem. The electrician initially blamed the manufacturer. LASTLY, the attitude of the electrician. Sigh...don't care attitude. Would I recommend Xclusiv? Yes, but with reservation. I also find that Ken has trouble keeping time with appointments and does not always follow up with referrals, but other than that, his design work and ideas are commendable.
