  1. Thanks . The price is quite reasonably. I will take note of it
  2. Thanks for your reply. So if I want to hack the wall, must I seek HDB approval or through the contractor? Which move is more advisable?
  3. Hi Folks, From the floor plan, I know that the darkened walls of the HDB flats are the main pillars to support the building so these walls definitely cannot be hacked. However, I heard that for new BTO flat, even the normal walls cannot be hacked until a certain period. Am I right? If so, must I wait for how long before I can hack the wall?
  4. Hmm... May I ask how much per feet for putting up the glass backsplash? I am thinking of putting up a glass backsplash for the whole stretch of my 9 feet kitchen cabinet...
  5. Hi, I think there will be a gap under the doors. I know you can lay some alignment at the floor but they will be protruding out. Logically, smoke and smell should move upwards out from the kitchen window...
  6. Hi merydith, appreciate your reply . Yes. For my 14 feet bottom cabinet, I plan to have them all as pull-out drawers, big and small using either Blum/Hef/SS. For 14 feet top cabinet, it will be normal cupboard with soft closing using either Blum/Hef/SS. Then I plan to have a 2 feet full fledged-cabinet with half top as normal cupboard with soft closing and bottom half as pull out cupboard (like the one in Ikea) using either Blum/Hef/SS. May I ask which closing system did you buy? I don't mind the brand as long as they work fine
  7. Thanks. I have received your PM. Price is rather reasonably for such big sliding tempered glass door.
  8. Hi Folks, I know that there are many closing system for kitchen cabinet like Blum and hettich. If I want to use any of these closing system, 1) can I just buy these closing system and ask my contractor to install them when he is doing my kitchen cabinet? Or 2) I have to ask to contractor to buy them and then he install them when he is doing the cabinet? Or 3) I have to buy the closing system and ask them to do the kitchen cabinet at the same time.
  9. Anyone has any idea where to get this type of tempered glass sliding door....
  10. Hi Folks, Does anyone know where to buy and install this type of Kitchen Sliding door? And also roughly how much it will cost? It is the hanging type with tempered glass. Thanks
  11. Hi, May I know how much you pay for the 2 SwingSlide doors and where did you get them? They are nice!
  12. I think from the investment point of view, after this new policy, the impact on 1st time buyer will be: i) For first time home buyers, try to secure a HDB flats (either Resale or BTO) for your 1st house, then plan to upgrade to condo or buy another condo and rent out the condo or HDB later if you want to invest in property. ii) For first time home buyers with fat cash, try to secure a resaled HDB flats for your 1st house, after 5 years, buy another condo and rent out the condo or HDB later if you want to invest in property. iii) For first time very rich home buyers, avoid HDB flats as it will restrict you from buying private properties for 5 years. I guess most of us fall in the first and second cat. I am in the first for sure...Ha..Ha.. So I think the demand for resaled HDB will still be strong....
  13. Yes, I agree with you. Those who own a HDB flat and a condo will definitely not sell their HDB as they will not be able to buy another HDB flat again. Thr people who suffer the most from this rule is those who only own a condo or a private property. In the past, they can buy a HDB flat to rent out as they are about half the price of condo. Now, they will have to buy a condo to rent out which will be less affordable...
  14. Hi Tungsten, I think your home is really beautifully done. I am impressed. I will like to seek some information from you. 1) Is your house a new 4 room HDB flat? The reason I ask is that the floor plan looks very similar to my BTO flat. 2) I don't know if you are willing to share with me your renovation cost and ID if there is any. You can PM me if you do not want to show out here. 3) Is Mr Kok and Ms Perlyn ID or carpenter? I think their work is rather high quality. I like the design of youe flat - very spacious and clean look
  15. I will be getting my BTO flat next year. I purchase it 2 years ago. The MOP is 5 years for new flats. Am I allow to buy private property during my stay in my new flats for the next five years?
