One Recommended Term contractor for Window charges S$150 to S$200 to replace the rubber casket of the following windows. 4 pieces of Fixed Panel of 2.5 ft by 8 inches on both sides 2 pieces of Fixed Panel 3 ft by 8 inches on both sides I believe there are better quotes. Can someone recommend a contractor that is HDB licenced Windows Contractor that is cheaper. One contractor and a neighbour told me that the leakage has nothing to do with the window rubber caskets. They were certain that the leakage was due to plastering of sloping walls with no waterproofing materials. What are you views on this? kohhh @ hotmail dot com

Just want to know where I can get a few pieces of this plastic stuff where one can see through to the outside but the outside people cannot see through to our unit. I am not sure what is that called? Can any one help and also let me know where I can get it and do it myself? Yes I agree with you. I have taken one out just to show sample to potential suppliers. Now I am waiting for someone to suggest a few of the suppliers where I can go and hopefully they supply such products for me. So far no suppliers names have been listed by people here as yet.

These seals have lasted me 16 years now. Apparently the rubber seals are hardened due to wear and tear and climate outside my house. I was searching around to buy some of these rubber seals for the windows so I can replace them with it now. When raining it leaks into my house and the rubber is no longer as it used to be. Need to change the friction stays and screws to stainless steel to meet HDB requirements 3 Panels with 16 screws and 2 pieces of friction stay each.
