    i would not advise this approach as the tile adhesive will not stick well to the tiles. PM me if you have any questions.

    It's possible to overlay but can affect skirting and create drop down into rooms off the hallway, which is typically done for bathrooms only. If you ever re-sell it may be obvious to potential buyer that you overlay, which will be added cost if they plan to reno. PM me if you want an evaluation.
