no la...Axor series is designer series. i think it's by Axor Starck or Philip Starck or someone....i think last name is Starck la. anyway, such designer series...only for those wif deep deep pockets. mine all entry level. i feel it's gd enuf for my own use. besides, i'm not staying in landed property, no nd to use designer series. also didnt use overhead rainshower. using a hand-held rainshower. actually if scared of low water pressure, those overhead rainshower is better, but very much more expensive compared to handheld.

i'm using EWF8556. can't remember whether it has the 30min quick wash programme, but generally, it doesn't take that long to finish washing. normal wash programme is just 1hr plus. 90degree celsius wash programme is just over 2hrs. but u only use 90deg C wash for bedsheets. seldom for normal clothes unless really really very dirty and stubborn stains.

the Mini is meant more for table-top use, whereas for placement on the floor, the LivingColours is more suited. though i still find it a bit too small, size-wise, to be placed on the floor. can easily "disappear" into the room's decor, but the light is bright enough for a typical HDB bedroom when placed on the floor pointing at a flat piece of wall.

i can only comment on the entry level models for both brands. For HansGrohe, entry level is the Focus E2 series. They are made in Germany, and cost-wise, can even cheaper than some of those higher-range Jap or local brands. Eg. Shower mixer is about $250-$280. Normal Italian brand or Jap brand mixer also around that price. For Grohe, entry level is the Bau range. They are made in China though the cartridge is still made in Germany. Cost-wise, very similar to HG's Focus E2, but some mixers can be slightly higher price than HG equivalent. i though abt mixing and matching for my plc, but in the end, went HG for both toilets. Only mixers in my plc tt is not frm HG are my kitchen mixer and master toilet wash-basin mixer. Kitchen mixer frm HG with pull-out was way to expensive for me. and due to the wash-basin used in my master toilet, there was no suitable mixer from HG within my budget.

dunno abt the pre-reno stall, but there is a chicken curry stall in the new coffeeshop. hv tried the chicken curry...nothing fantastic in my opinion. bt it seems they're more popular for their fish head curry.

haha....tt's cos the wedding dinner usually can cover itself. only the photoshoots, ang baos, and miscellaneous are out-flow without in-flow....lol... has anyone ever noticed the un-spoken difference in chinese and western culture? everything in western culture is abt me or us, while everything abt chinese is about others. chinese wedding is not for the wedding couple but more for the parents and relatives. a western wedding reception is all about the wedding couple. if it was up to me, my wedding, if i ever have one...lol, would just be a honeymoon wedding. just a small reception wif family, close friends and church members, and then off we go immediately to the airport in our wedding clothes for our honeymoon. leave the rest of the reception to our close friends to manage, and intro fellow singles to each other. just like in the western culture.

sorry, need to correct u there. Philips LivingColours CAN adjust brightness, as well as intensity of the colour. maybe the Mini cannot adjust brightness, i'm not sure, cos i dun hv it. the Mini has 3 LED bulbs and comes in an opaque casing, whereas the LivingColours have 4 LED bulbs, and comes in a translucent casing. 4 LED bulbs also means a greater range of colours and more shades of colours, selectable by adjusting the intensity of each colour.

ya, every nite also very crowded wan. especially so on weekend nites if there's English football on. cos the coffeeshop got subscribe to mioTV. i dun nd to follow online "live" commentary. when hear "oooh....aahhh....argh....ohhh" frm downstairs, switch to the "live" commentary to check who scored or missed.....lol thr's another wet market (sort of) further down the road that i think is quite cheap....but a bit inconvenient if u dun drive. it's ard St 41 that side. somewhere inside surrounded by the few blocks there is a collection of market stalls selling mostly veggie, fruits and other preserved stuff and spices. prices are reasonably cheap cos got competing stall rite next to each other. if not, can try the one opposite the HDB branch office at those blk 200+ area....where the Mac is.

eh...nowadays, spiderman thieves quite rare liao....not so willing to risk their lives. moreover, 7th floor...not 4th floor. i also dun hv grilles at my kitchen window. only my corridor windows hv grilles. but den again, i got a dog at home and he's very protective of me and my house. stranger come near my main door only, he will run to the main door and start barking. so i think if spiderman try to climb in from my kitchen, my only worry is he will get a fright when my dog runs to the kitchen window and start barking at him. and tt sudden fright might cause him to lose his grip or footing and fall all the way down to the ground floor. i also on 7th floor....lol.

Not at a loss. HDB will buy back at the same price that HDB sold the flat to the couple. Unless the couple bought resale flat, den there will be a possible loss, depending on how much they paid for the flat.

actually the open concept wardrobe is quite a good idea, if u designate a whole bedroom to be your WIW. u can design it like a library vault, like that one in the Vatican as shown in the movie Da Vinci Code: Angels and Devils. Racks and drawers against the walls, with a pole system wardrobe in the centre. very classy i feel....

i can't rmb the transformer wattage liao, but it's 12V 8.3A. Think its a $30 transformer. below 2 pics, first one is taken without flash, 2nd one taken wif flash. LED is actually warm-white in colour but when taken without flash, it will appear white. Taken wif flash: wiring-wise, i dunno hw my electrician did it, but the transformer is mounted on top of the cabinet. there must be a wire running frm d bottom LED strip to the transformer on top. i got all frm this LED shop at Sim Lim Square, B1. can't miss it if you drive into their carpark frm Jln Besar road. But i wldn't recommend gg thr. i dun like the service though price is competitive. a lot of other shops in Sim Lim Tower. also can get frm Choo Chiang, maybe slightly more ex.
