Saw cheaper brands like Nasonik which is selling at $30 for a 2 way IR unit. A 4 way RF unit at $32...not sure of their reliability though. The JDO model is selling at $90 for 3 way IR unit in Sim Lim tower. Prices should be able to further reduced. They all have some max load capacity on each switch. Urbantec cost is $60 fo 3 way IR unit. So far am using a brand bought from China & works pretty well for me for past 2 years.

Am also interested in getting a remote control lighting switch but the electrician advise against it, citing it will spoil in less than a year....he has many experiences with the China models. I am not going for a full automation to the house but only ability to control the lights using remote controls. So many gd as well as bad reviews on this KDk Baby fan.....decided to buy one & hopefully electrician will be able to install one this week for me to try out before I decide to get 2 more for other 2 rooms. Got it from JB. Cost is RM316 & customs did not tax me. Heard cheapest in SG is S$160...so save about S$24 for me. I also got the Kdk 5 bladed one....think is V60wK model, JB call this Sensa 5. Price is Rm$555. SG is probably S$392..so more savings for this fan. Will be installed at my hall. The Tampoi lighting center has alot of fans....Elmark,Alpha,Kdk,the sunflower..etc. Price is slightly higher than the Kdk fan I got from a electrical shop. Tampoi quoted me 588 for the Sensa 5.....so its Rm33 more here. They also sell alot of lights.....a downlight cost is about Rm34 each w/o bulbs......so quite abit of savings if get ur lights from here.

Anybody has comments on the table top ovens? This looks pretty value for money...combo oven, price quoted at Harvey was $1159. http://www.sharp.com.sg/web/products/prodD...3&mode=Feat Not for the regular baker...but for those occasional users, think this oven would fit great.

Btw, if the oven is rated as 16A & need to be used in a HDB socket outlet rated as 13A max, how do we go about installing this oven?

yup, took ur advice & went down to B&W showroom today. They provided me the quote for this system....no actual set to try it out...so it is buy w/o testing out how it sounds. Build in wall speakers 636 & Cinema 6 + rear ceiling build in speakers + 200W ASW608 subwoofer + Yamaha 467. Total damage is $3314. Inclu GST. No delivery,installation & wiring. 45 to 60 days.

I intend to get this beauty...Rinnai 2 CG model....burner is recessed & looks really cool & neat!!! However, there is this strip of opening at rear of the hob for air intake....so this means things can fall through this opening & into below compartments of the kitchen cabinet. Not exactly sure abt the $1601 price that the guy quoted me...maybe for the speakers only...anyway took a look at the B&W website...saw those in build wall or ceiling speakers....looks cool to hide those for my small room space. Anyone has experience with such speakers? - Are their sound being compromised greatly? - Are they expensive? - Which shops in Aldephi is more specialized in such speakers or B&W systems? - price like? Looks like I need to go down Aldephi again to checkout the "invisible" speakers option.

Drop by Aldephi today...went to KEC & get some demo & quotes. Go with the suggested system here, Onkyo 608,Def tech pro cinema 800 & Velodyne CHT-8Q woofer. Played Avatar & overall experience was pretty good. But I was looking for smaller speakers...so guy suggested def tech 600. he quoted me price for the 800 combo for $2787 while the 600 combo is $1601. Walk around & saw another system that caught me eyes, at AV One shop, they were selling the Morel system. Cute looking speakers (hemisphere shape) & sub was also very curvy. I got a demo on the MT-1 system....sound great as well. Price was $3388,bundled with Onkyo 587. latest update...got the 28444 from Everjoint at 1425...use my visa & paid 2% more....so 1453. But manhatten visa got rebate 5% if spend 3000 in 1 mth. So in the end the washer cost me 1380. I also got Panasonic fridge 551 model quote at 1115.....**** gd price I must say.... staffs at everjoint also patient & polite....so gd service & gd price...thumbs up for them!!! just hope they do not screw up on delivery schedules.

I got quote from mega on 28444 model for 1520.....& a shop from Bedok quoted 1480 but cannot use Visa. Think will try to bargain with mega again this weekend.
