I was considering metallic epoxy paint for my toilets as they looked cool, but not sure lasting they are. If nothing heavy drops on them, dun think they will crack that easily?

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Or Mitsubishi Electrical?
devion23 replied to fullerms's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Ok, vendor came down to inspect & found gas leakage & was due to broken pipe connection at one of the fan coil units.....Gaincity.....so not all the time that smooth from a company with a gd reputation for aircon installs. For sure, my experience with Gaincity installers was not pleasant one. -
Anybody knows whether the above main door lock can be replaced with a digital one?

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Or Mitsubishi Electrical?

I got Mit Heavy Ind from Gain city...installed on Sep 18th...tested fine. Just last week, after some reno completion, decided to try out the air-con. To my dismay, it broke down after running for awhile!!!! The power led flashes 7 times with timer led lit....saw from the service manual, indicates either a closed service valve or heat exchanger sensor error. SUX big time!!! Will Wo Kee Hong a call on Monday......never even get to enjoy the aircon & broke down. -
I engaged Tay Boon Tat to do up my 4 rm flat Alu grilles only. Total of 1 hall,3 bedrooms & 1 service yard bronze color. $900. Installation was very quick & I am satisfied with the quality. www.tayboontat.com

Just get those push openers to install onto the drawer front or can also be installed at the rails. Note that the drawer will not be tightly shut in this case as the push opener needs a little gap for it to be pushed & spring release.

Recently got a quote from Pdoor for kitchen, width about 900mm, price was $445 for a standard type door....sounds kinda expensive based off forummers here....range saw was about $340 to $380. Also saw bad comments about them, poor service & installation & door not durable....so am still deciding......1st look at their door seems pretty sturdy to me. Anybody has recently used PDoors & can provide price?

It is only clip on damper V-500. I thought standard commercial hinge could be used for those clip on.....let me check it out. As for the JB shop, it is situated at Tmn Sentosa, Melodies garden. The name is Aldeco,Ginmit trading. Here is the website for the products. http://www.ginmit.com/products.html They have a bigger shop at Johor Jaya, where their warehouse is & most of the products can only be obtained from here directly. If you goto Tmn Sentosa outlet, some items will need to be ordered first & couple of days to collect at Tmn Sentosa outlet....pretty inconvienient for SG shoppers. To go to the Johor Jaya outlet, need to travel up to Jusco tebrau city, turn into Johor Jaya, 1st traffic junction, turn right & go straight all the way (maybe 5-10mins of drive) till you reach Jln Sutera. Their shop is just along the road at Jln Sutera 47. Alot of kitchen & toilet accessories & alot more....just go check their website.

Went to Blum showroom today....pretty neat place! also a pretty neat salesgal! ;0 Ok,I got the clip on dampers for the casement doors for cabinets. Only cost $2.43 ea. Not sure what else is required but I saw how this device clips onto the existing hinge in Ikea. Blum label this soft closing feature as blumotion. Similarly for drawers, the soft closing ones come with either extended or normal opening. Those who likes their drawers to open fully, then need to get the extended rails. Cost is not that expensive. For the normal opening rails with blumotion & capacity of 30kg. A pair cost ~$48 (drawer depth ranges from 270-500mm) The extended ones cost more. A pair cost ~$88.(270-550mm) The more heavy duty that can hold 50kg,extended rails cost ~$120-160,depends on the depth. They also have the servo drives...very cool & hitech feel for kitchen....but very expensive for a typical family.Think was ~$300 for one drawer. I then went in JB & found a shop that sells the soft closing rails as well. Made in Malaysia & the cost was Rm60 for a pair!!! What a steal....& they worked equally well like Blum....but cannot be sure about their durability. Got all my rails from JB. 5 drawers worth for less than Rm300.

For frosted glass sliding doors & good sliding bearings...cost will be more. Mine cost $240 psf. For normal laminate sliding doors, about $200 psf. if u get ID to provide the service, prepare to pay about 20% more. So direct get the carpenter to do the build in cabinets will be recommended if cost savings is what u are looking for....search about this forum to get reliable & good carpenters. Some homework needs to be done. ID is no frills but u pay for that.

I am still deciding whether to get the KDK baby fan or the Alpha V6 40inch fan for my rooms? In terms of cost, they are about the same if buy from JB...diff probably about $30-40 more for the alpha. In terms of looks, I think the V6 looks better & comes with a light feature. In terms of performance, really dunno, many ppl complained about KDK baby fan while some find it working really well. As for V6, not really alot of comments for this fan in the forum....or maybe I did not search hard enough. Some advice needed here. KDK baby or Alpha V6 will be a better choice?

Is It Better To Buy Lightings On Our Own Or Together With Id?
devion23 replied to Querty's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Advice is to get them yourselves...ID usually want to bring u to shops that they can earn commission & so u buy at higher price. However, you need to get advice from ur ID on what types & sizes of lights to get based off your design layout. -
How is the payment terms usually? Like how much to pay first? I have contacted Mr Kok & will arrange a house visit by him. Not sure is it only cash terms or he also accepts VISA.
