thanks! we are thinkin of framing either a long one (6 pieces in a row) or a square one (4 pieces). hi sumo, not sure too coz my hubby had some for quite a while.. his mum is nonya. from wad i know, there are some antique shops in melacca that sells. in sg, some antique shops may carry it too! wow i like the wooden chest idea. then the chest can double up as a side table too. hmm will see if hubby like that. the tiles are normal ceramic tiles thickness.. about 8mm?.. hmm the thing abt sticking to current finishes and making it a fixture is that we cant remove it if we shift house lor:( will be a pity coz its really pretty.
-
hmm.. coasters! maybe hor. har use it as actual tiles very xin tong leh. nex time move house cannot bring with me..
-
har u really hack away ur floor tiles arh..wad a pity, i thot keep a small portion will be really cool.. like in ur study.. or your balcony area.. or the part of the living rm where ur shoe cab is.....so that can see the juxtaposition of old and new..

hehe. yar lor. nvr thot of that before. hey but i realised alot of furniture especially cabinets in the as-is section not really cheap leh. cos the condition quite bad.. with laminate peeling and corners chipping and all that stuff. its the smaller stuff at the as-is thats interesting.

ur rubberband chairs real retro! haha i remember sitting on the sticky rubber at my grandmas place when i was young. dunno why my impression was sticky. maybe due to dirt or due to the chairs out in the hot sun. its real funny how somethings u had or came across when u're young is making a comeback. aiyo like today i went to the flea market at far east square, see lots of people selling old toys, antiques etc.. and each shop we walk past, will definately comment "hey i used to hav that when i was young". oops. maybe it reflects how old we are already things we have are considered antique liao

Bestway building is at Tanjong Pagar, where TV 12 is. Its opposite MAS building.., near temasek towers... the bak chor mee is really super nice! a must try... but the queue is abit long during lunch hours..
-
gasp... is that a TINTIN i see there? i love tintin. my fav comic. and i used to read asterix and obelix too. uh ooh i feel like digging out all my comics now. oh ur cuckoo clock graphic v stylomylo leh. what is is made of? canvas? u painted? and $70 for aromatherapy!! think if i have that i will use only a tiny little drop each time... hi apple! no need to even cut out into 2 pieces of cloth, unless u want front and back difft cloth. The easiest method is to fold a long rectangular cloth into a square by overlapping the ends, then just sew the sides. make sure u overlap enough so that when the cushion is in, it won't open up. if u don like the overlapping method, then sew a zip.. hey i also starting to like cheena style leh. and your chines retro sounds interesting. your home will be unique!
