hehe. i'm also trying to find out where are the nice cheap fabrics. so far i've kinda grouped them into arab street for lace, joochiat for curtain fabrics, chinatown for dress fabrics, and spotlight for all kinds but more ex. And if u are super loaded you can go to goodrich for their designer, modern looking but sibeh expensive fabrics. yes the wrapping papers are really a steal. cant find those in sg

Wow lifestyle. your house look so super big and spacious:)
-
oh dear. sorry to hear that. not sure how we could help too but we can 'chu li' like wad linda has said you can try the small claims tribunal if the claim is not more then $10,000. hope that it gets resolved soon.

yar lor travel with tour v rush wan. plus if u so happen to wake up late 1 morning.. you'll make every1 wait and the whole tour bus will glare at u when u get into the bus. hmm if u don like angmo country.. wad about india, pakistan or cambodia? hehe. or egypt go see mummies, or africa go safari? plenty of places la.. plus the places zeny mentioned, already 14 places liao! maybe coz sydney is more like a big city area, every1 rush here rush there don bother abt u. Perth is a sleepy and lazy town area. So melbourne is somewhere in between the 2. The best!

is it more tiring to use steam iron? i thought it'll be easier! hehe. i'm using the normal iron+ ironing board type and already feel its very tiring, so thinking of getting steam.. but after u say tiring to use steam then maybe i stick to the conventional iron liao lo.. yes but i think steam iron not 100% effective too.. at least thats wad my bridal boutique told me last time.

another reason for the wood backing is that our wall is not entirely straight/flat. so u cannot glue a big mirror directly onto the wall without the woodbacking. the silvery coating turns black because of oxidation, due to contact with air/moisture, like wad you said. do u mean the small tile sized mirror that ikea sells? looks nice when u put alot together!

oh gosh. i read until so confused. at first i thot ur babies meant ur kids.. then as i read further u said he 'meow until i come out' must be ur cat. then lin stapler say the boy cry and cry. kittens will cry meh? oh no i was thinking of getting a cat. but want them to be independent coz i work long hours so not at home. wont be able to bear to see them sad. maybe i wont get liao

thanks! but i'm sure yours also very nice and cosy leh.. why nvr update ur blog!! wanna c photos photos photos! haha, its because i got no $$ thats why end up DIYing to save money hi hi, oh i think i'm lucky my hubby don mind diy-ing too so we end up doing all the stuff in weekends together .. hee the original balcony was smaller. we extended it coz we thought we dont need such a big space. our flat is an EA and i already feel its too big. housework is a chore! read ur blog that u got the answers for the bomb sheltor:)

Hi Linda! v nice! i love ur mbr
-
wow linda, your wallpaper quite nice mah. y u don like leh? yes its quite hard to align wallpaper! we put up the wallpapers ourselves and spend the whole afternoon doing it. maybe ur contractor shd have painted the wall of the same color tone as ur wallpaper 1st b4 putting it up. that way if there are gaps, it wont be so obvious.. but don worry i think your wallpaper looks really nice and classy!
-
hi hi! it was a pretty simple DIY only.. thought can share the idea since alot of pple have glass tables. actually u dont even need to design ur own, just cut out a nice design from any magazine can liao:) Oh i've posted some photos of my living room in my blog.. http://oh-so-nice.blogspot.com/

wah! $10 per hour is real value for $$.. sigh was thinking of getting a part time helper too.. quite tired of doing household chores liao. my colleagues recommend amah on wheels (they are expensive!) .. or http://www.a-team.com.sg a-team seems cheaper.. but dunno whether good or not coz no1 try b4.

wow... u got 2 sofas!! is ur mbr very big? i think my mbr is so crammed that i cant even put a stool inside already

Hi sumo, if u staying around the east, u can go expo when they have the home exhibition. My hubby made one from them, cost us $220 to have a 6ft wide by 6ft long one (approx). but the cost depends on the material, some fabric ones or designer looking ones are more ex. Alternatively ikea also has! but less limited choices and the roller mechanism isnt as good. And the blinds have to be wider than the window size so that you wont get the light when u are viewing it at an angle. wow! ur home got projection tv? like cinema arh not sure if roller blinds can be used as projection screen tho... thought most white blinds are abit 'glossy' in nature.. may affect viewing leh.
