Has anyone encountered aircon pipe leakage problem ? We noticed the old aircon was leaking after we bought our new place and aircon service contractor advised to change new units ( old one was already 9yr old) So we changed 3units of Daikin BUT our nightmare begins not long after...it switched off in the middle of the night and cannot be turned on. Contractor asked us to reset the main power by turning it off, wait for 15-30mins then switch it on. It works, but after a few days, it was turned off again. Contractor came to put gas and it last for a month, same problem happened so he suspected its PIPE LEAKAGE. Mine is a condo, so everything is concealed so the only way is to do a pressure test to check if there's any leakage. We were so confused & wondering what's the cause of it and we thought if the contractor have just advise us to change the pipe during our reno work and not changing NEW AIRCON itself, we would not have such problem now. If the pressure test result shows leakage then we will have to hack the ceiling to change the pipe ! We are going crazy ! We do not know if we are trusting the contractor too much but we cant get another contractor bec we bought this new aircon from them..........
