Haha... He's being funny lah. Ask your wife not to cook and pack the meals from outside instead. Anyway, I remember long time ago in my first home (with my parents of course), the tiles around the stove area are like those mosaic material. I remember using soapy water to wipe the counter tops and around the stove each night. Very very easy. Squeaky clean after that. n_n
