You only need one point at your modem/router area. If you need additional point, you can extend with a switch. Running RJ45 cable is like running electrical cable, you should always follow the trunking of the electrical cable and keep it hidden in false ceiling or cornice. In your rooms, you can get either a single or dual RJ45 faceplate depending on your needs. Also take note of the type of cable you need. Most electrician will tell you cat5e sufficient but I rather take cat6 for future proof.

Day by day, we see the progress and finally saw your glass master bathroom and the lighting from our kitchen window. Once in a while, we are discussing whether to go up and visit this unit but eventually we drop off the idea. Today I see your blog and I realize this is the owner!! We are just staying on the 2nd floor opposite across the carpark diagonally. If ever you see a couple standing downstairs, come say HI to us. Bulleye! Great mind thinks alike. haha.. Actually i believe if i re-valuate that unit, it will increase at least min $10k. Since I'm paying in full cash, so cov high or not makes no difference. Lets just hope the reno process will be smooth for me. Oh, one more condition that seller stated in contract is to let them to stay for 3 more months at no charges. So, i'll be getting my keys only in end of Dec. I'm sooo enthu into renovation stuff already.

To add-on, got to over-haul whole unit but already tight on budget. So need to join renotalk and do more homework in reno liao.
