just sharing my thoughts.....but u shd be able to get your electrician make good the proper receptacles & inconveniences caused... electrical things better dun play play.... tink CJ oso does exports of such items, and they shd advise consumers if the items are type-approved for local use....

looks like your experienced ID/contractor fail maths and dunno how to budget for tiles. My reno was a good experience, my contractor told me whatever that is pasted on will be chargeable, mistakes due to him will not be borne by me......excess loose tiles are given to me as spares, or unopened tile bundles are returned to Hafary, simple and easy.

the reason why it's not approved for local use is the absence of safety shutters covering the Live/Neutral/Earth contacts. PSB is very strict on these receptacles... even those seemingly legit clipsal switches without the PSB/Spring stickers will be classified as non-approved for local use. also, if u inspect the internal mechanics of the multi-way plug, the brass/copper contacts are too soft and flexible; repeated insertion/removal of different plugs loosens them and will cause arcing which is dangerous.

check the (1) RF antenna connections at the rear of the TV and (2) swap the TVs to check if problem goes away. if problem persists, then it maybe the TV distribution point outside your unit got problem. U may need to have a master key to open the CATV box where all the connections are.

You can refer to page 4 of my t-blog for the installation pics. The fiber TP is located next to my main circuit breaker within the full-height cabinet in my living room… Ring up opennet for appointment first (in view of their bz schedule, it's best to take whatever timeslot they give u), then arrange with ur contractor/ID to coordinate with them so that they complete the trunking n conduits before u do ur false ceiling/cornices/cabinet to conceal them.

I tink it's too late for u to do anything since u mentioned it's almost completion. What u can do is to withhold payment for the balance. And shame the contractor/ID here.

It's been a while since I updated this.......120 days after installation of TP, and payment made, finally received email from OpenNet as below:

For me, first two month after 2nd appt, consolidate and ask ex owner to take, at the same time final reminder. Third month open envelope scan n pdf n email to sender. Subsequent month str8 into junk mail.

haaaa, no surprises here, since they have many teams of subcon doing installation in many estates.

No amount of deterrent measures can stop burglar from intrusion if the crook is bent on entering ur premises. Make the lock too strong, thief will break sumthing else that is easier for entry. So dun worry too much. Get a stronger lock which will slow down or delay intrusion. But it'll never be foolproof.
