Materials That U Regret Using/ Installing

very true about the aircon FCU placement. is most efficient to put the FCU facing the bed, not at any corners, as the louvres may not direct the chilled air towards the bedroom. there're different school of thoughts though, some say direct air blowing is too cold, but can always turn down the cooling power, which translates to savings in power... -

Hdb Ups Mop For Resale Flats To 5 Years
neubie replied to Warrior88's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
MBT: Rules to help first-timers NATIONAL Development Minister Mah Bow Tan on Wednesday acknowledged concerns from genuine upgraders and retirees but emphasised that the new property rules were meant to give first-time buyers 'first crack' at the market. Mr Mah said that while some might inconvenience or disadvantage home owners, the broader goal of the rules was to reinforce the use of an Housing Board flat for long-term owner occupation - not a mode of investment - and to give first-time home buyers priority. 'If you already own a private property, then please don't at this point of time compete with the others to buy HDB resale flats unless you're genuinely downgrading,' he said. Mr Mah was responding to questions from Non-Constituency MP Sylvia Lim and Marine Parade GRC MP Lim Biow Chuan who argued that the new rules were making it harder to own a public and private home concurrently. Those who buy an HDB resale flat on or after Aug 30 must also dispose of any private property they own - including any held overseas - within six months of the HDB purchase. The measures also include tighter lending rules for home owners with mortgages looking to buy another property. They can now borrow up to only 70 per cent of the value, down from 80 per cent. Mr Mah said that while there are those who wanted the best of both worlds, some buyers had more pressing needs. 'We have a genuine need from first timer couples for HDB resale flats and I think we should let them have first crack at it,' he said. While a good portion of complaints on the ground had centred on upgraders being disadvantaged, he said the rules encouraged them to be more prudent, he said adding that he did not want to witness a peak and crash of the market similar to that in 1997 which left many losing their homes and facing negative equity. Mr Mah also revealed that about 3 per cent - or 24,000 - of HDB flats owners held private property as well. -
Drafted a floorplan as shown. Towards the end of the utility area, it's not to scale due to cumulative errors in drafting... As I wanted the living room to be longer to accomodate the dining area, the kitchen length will be reduced by 2 feet... one advantage would be to cut down cost of wall tilings and kitchen cabinet A rotating full-height TV console wall will be constructed, so can still watch TV while eating chilli crab....or watching movies on the sofa. The console act as a partition wall, so that nobody can see from outside when makaning.... The 2 bedrooms + living/dining area will be installed with sys-3 aircon. Full-height top-hung glass partition (one fixed, 2 movable) will be installed... L-boxes for the living area with 8 downlights and false ceiling with 4 downlights + 1 pendant light for the dining area. Also false ceiling for 02 bedrooms with downlights & cove lighting as well. Small basin will be relocated & installed in the bathroom.

Men at work today... during lunch time popped by and see they've (4 guys) almost done up the base layer of the kitchen walls.... Part of the recessed walls were topped up by the hollow bricks just to fit the cabinet....so that the fridge next to the proposed cabinet can be pushed further in. As I left the worksite, they have almost finished the low wall.... and started on mounting the door frames... really fast hand fast leg... by night, bathroom/WC floorings are ready. mousehole drain replaced by floortrap. sorry about the noisy pics, as the lighting in kitchen area was torn off during demolition... Low wall up Rubbish chute hole tiled up Recessed wall filled with hollow block and tiled up

Homo tiles The 老板 aka old woods used for the cornices are removed from the ceiling... ;p My contractor commented the previous floor was laid far thicker (about 3.5") than required, so I told him not to lay as thick as before, as I wanted the ceiling to be as high as possible... Today wetworks should start at the kitchen.... hope everything turns out fine...

Inverter Air Con: Beware Of High Standby Power
neubie replied to DaveLee1688's topic in Electronics & Electricals
can be converted one, pretty straightforward... but it is not the practice to directly connect the aircon power directly to the 20A isolator what, what happens if i need to change aircon few years down the road?
