If U observe carefully, most chefs can use cheaper pots & pans yet they still can cook out DELICIOUS food ! Thr4, d most important is HOW & METHODS of cooking. Ofcourse, if can afford 2 buy Branded & Quality items, Y not ! But if beyond our budget, then just forget it ! Afterall, many aunties baked good food & wonderful cakes with Turbo, Ariston, Brandt .......

Honestly, if U R really GD in baking, U can do a lot by using BASIC oven ! Oven with many functions was told giving d convenience for those who R not really gd in baking. So to Chefs, any oven can bake out wonders food !

U R absolutely RIGHT ! Though this table top Sharp Helsio AX1500 oven came with Microwave functions, but it's oven functions DOES NOT came with Mircowave like Panasonic Microwave/Convection Oven. Besides, it's WATER OVEN or what we called STEAM oven whr MORE healthy if U use this oven. However, do NOT choose the smaller unit AX1300 retailing at $999 as it doesn't come with FAN in yr oven fucntion. Call Luigi of H/N at 9733 7654 2 ask 4d SPECIAL price that he cld give give U ! I just got my Brandt FP867 Pyro built-in oven last week at only $1650 fr him though quoted at $1899 at H/N, Best & Mega.

If U R lookg 4 a cheap oven, then Turbo is fine ! If U R lookg 4 a GD middle range oven, then those who love in baking will tell U that Bosch (German made) & Brandt (France Made) wd b d ideal oven. Wd u mind giving me yr electrician HP ? Been calling few electrician but when they heard only draw a new line fr d circuit box to the kitchen & fix a 16amp plug for my Brandt Pyro oven, they said they not free coz got many projects in hand. Small job difficult to get a qualified electrician to do at my CCK area.

I'm facing d same problems too ! My oven has been boxed up & fixed in by d delivery man. Now was placed on top of my stainless steel table but the oven came w/o plug coz got to look for an electrician to fix a 16amp plug. Otherwise, if anything goes wrong with yr oven, NO guaranteed ! I understand that if I use oven, make sure that NO 1 is using aircond in my hse in order to avoid fr elec trip ! However, if U hav a 13amp plug ready for yr new oven & U only look 4 a CATALYTIC function of built-in oven that do NOT require the changing of panels every 2-3yrs due to ECO cleaning, then just call Luigi of Harvey Norman at 9733 7654 for Bosch HBA23B550J retailed at $1299 (German Made; the ONLY 1 with 13amp oven); 2yrs warranty with Fan, Top & Bottom, Bottom, Grill with Fan, Grill (5 cooking Programmes). I bought via Luigi as he gave me a special rate & H/N is a BIG organisations that allows up to 5yrs (warranty + ext warranty). FYI, Bosch is rank before Brandt but majority that loves MORE & EASY functions & with Pyrolitic as well as Grill with Rotissirie will still go for Bradt coz d Pyro FP867 only $1650 nett (Retail $1899).

For a GD middle-range brand, Bosch & Brandt R GD bcoz of their easy functions & temperature heats ! If U can't get a GD oven, U might ended up doing a lot of manual work ie always need to take a look at yr cake, bun, chicken & do manual changing of position so that yr food can be cook in even colour ! Hence, do NOT base on outlook or bigger capacity but even heat is MORE IMPORTANT for an oven.

At Rinnai, U can view Bosch, Brandt, DD & Miele but their rates R stick to Retail Price. I got my Brandt Pyro FP867 (New model replacing FP667 coz got grill with rotisirrie at only S$1650. If U dun mind d old series of FP667 (grill w/o rotissirie), U can get it at $1500 while retail price for Pyrolitic oven is $1899

Yr study room's shelf is very DANGEROUS if U R having baby that start to learn crawling & walking ! My divider set cost $1.7k (Bottom is shoe rack, centre (our waist-line) is a row of Lady bird's books while Top Left side (front & back) is a glass door & inside we display dolls, teddy bears while right side is a big panel of sanded glass with some designed. When my little girl was in her Term 2 of K2, she was trying to pull out a book to read & ...... Yes, never did I expected this unfortunately things happened in my own hse ! The divider set COLLAPSED onto her & d glass all over d floor ! We CAN'T find her as she was inside ! My mum-in-law who came to my hse for holiday, my maid, my elder girl who is in P6 & myself CAN'T lift up that stupid HEAVY furniture. We shouted so loud than only my HB came out fr d master bdroom 2 help. Lifted up while I was trying to pull her out, d divider set COLLAPSED again into 2 & my little girl got another hit again. Mayb due to my nervous in trying to pull her out immediately, her right knee being cut by 8cm x 5cm & d flesh flipping out & kept tearing ..... I CAN'T stop my tears while seeing her leg's bone so clearly ( After this incident, I THROW away ALL glasses door's furniture bcoz I felt so SORRY whenever I saw d big scar left on her knee. So, if U R having kids in a yr or 2, then I wd advice U to CONSIDER abt d safety of yr kids ! Luckily NO fracture of bones for my girl or scar on her face. Telling U this also making me tears but still, I will warn many ppl abt this .....

Harvey Norman Millenia Walk or CentrePoint (same bldg with Robinson) also have different ranges of ovens to see. However, those who R lookg for a GOOD Mid-Range oven will usually look for Bosch (German made; using 3D Hot Air) or Brandt (France made; Top & Bottom Heat with Fan) as they R fr d same factory. My recent checked on d prices : Bosch (2 or 3 layers glass door); 2yrs warranty. HBA23B550J (the only 13amp most suitable for HDB) - Retailed at $1299 HBA43B450A Catalytic (16amp) - Retailed Price $1449 [ 5 cooking functions only ] HBA56B550A Catalytic (16amp) - Retailed Price $2199 [10 cooking functions ]. Bosch catalytic using Eco cleaning & thr4, do not required change of panels. HBA78B750 Pyrolytic (16amp) - Retailed Price $2949 [ 13 cooking functions ] Bradt 16amp (old series start with 6 while new series with 8; heard that most functions quite similar). Brandt only 1yr warranty. FP867 replacing FP667; 9 cooking modes; Multifunctions Plus with EASY-COOK. Though Retailed at $1899 but U shd b able to get FP667 at $1.5k for old series (grill w/o rotisserie). FP842 Catalytic retailed at 1399 but the panels need to change every 2-3 yrs ($150+) depending how often U perform grilling. 7 cooking modes FP811 (Basic) - Mega sells at $840; 6 cooking modes As long as U can find any items in any of d H/N branch, U can then call Luigi 9733 7654 of H/N to order. He gave a very special rate; I got my Brandt Pyro FP867 (Grilling with rotisserie ; 4 layers glass door) at $1650 nett. I chose bigger store bcoz I like the ext warranty & thr4, I bought 1+4yrs ext warranty fr H/V coz my maid will b using d oven. So, play safe, buy max warranty ! Ariston Openspace 70L; itally made (fr Mayers) Retailed at $1899 (15amp) but read thro' some forum's thread that their services after sales R really bad. Each time cost abt $200-$300 when their ovens trip ! Besides, too BIG spaces wd suitable for ppl who bakes a lot ! For me, it might coz MORE electricity of LARGER space when compact with others that usually only 52-58L. Hope d abv infor cld help U !

Bake cakes & buns using the wok-convection oven ($178) but the heat not even. Bake cookies/tarts better coz only 10mins. Wait till I know how to upload photos then can show U my food !
