  1. Jin, You, Luo, Choo, Chuan, Hoo, Koh, Shen, Lo, Lee, Goh, Yang = 12 fengshui masters according to Ivy1981's earlier comments as to why there is only a bad list of FSMs. R they the 12 earth or heavenly branches found in the geomency theories or in the chinese almanac??? Fictional characters or r they real people? Don't get me wrong, I was trying to guess who these masters r when I realised that there r exactly 12 that were quoted in Ivy1981's comments. No more or no less than 12. R these good masters written in the bad list of FSMs?? So boggled becox I haven't received the bad list...
  2. some of those born in rich families r already ahead of the race ... that's if they have inherited $-making genes.
  3. Memory foam is not recommended for some people who r allergic to it.
  4. I would also like to know who the rest of the good FSMs r apart from the bad list that's circulating on RT forum ...
  5. U'll need to retain one bedroom based on HDB's regulation.
  6. Hi kalimantan, I'm not sure abt whether fengshui expertise is required for booking of niches. U've got to ask for the advice of the dajie "big sister" of the geomency section for master Chang's threads on RT forum.
  7. Lizards aren't classified as pests by the pest control professionals. However, their presence could wreak havoc becox of the noice & the "sourvenirs" they leave on the walls & furnishings!! Thus far, all those lizard repellants in the commercial market do not work well.
  8. Dry skin might still promote pimply like texture. The oil glands kept producing oil as it is stimulated through frequent washing of the face (in an attempt to reduce its oiliness). And as a result, the surface of the skin has been so badly dehydrated & the sebaceous glands would still be secreating lot's of oil - they've received signals of dry skin on the surface that requires oil?? Hence, dry skin could still give rise to pimples and acnes. I used to have acnes from 10 yrs old, all the way to 29 yrs old. I tried all methods, including facials which ultimately gave rise to skin irritation when my skin became overly dehydrated. The dermatologists had fed me with so much antibiotics, including Retin-A (a vitamin A drug for controlling sebum production) during that past 20 years until my health suffered, & started showing up signs of side-effects by the time I reach my 30s. And once this happens, there is no recourse for reversing the health conditions. So I wouldn't recommend that anybody take antibiotics liberally to cure acnes. It might work for some but if after stopping the entire course of medication and the skin starts exploding again, I would recommend that u work from inside out to control & cure the problems. Reason: ur skin problem runs deeper than just the skin.
  9. Find the ants' trial and do not wipe them away. Purchase ants bait from golden rooster brand and pour those light brownish bits of flakes along the trial. Give it sometime, and those ants should clear off within 2-3 days.
  10. U have to visit hardware stores that sell all kinds of locksets. They should be able to advise u. Otherwise, u might want to contact ur door installers (reno contractor/ ID) for advice.
  11. I think all reno contrtors or IDs r prone to such issues or incidences where things go wrong. It all depends on luck. U can engage one without any blacklisting, good reviews but things can still go wrong.
  12. Hi kalimantan, my maternal granny's niche was booked along with my maternal grandfather's was booked along with his first wife when she died in 1942. I don't think they use a piece of red paper to cover the niche but there is a type of material or was it a gadget to seal the opening, hence, an indication that the niche had already been booked. Nobody sabo-ed in peeling off that seal for her niche becox their niches are at the highest level. Have to get stairs to climb up leh... And those r resting places for deceased so cannot imagine who will be crazy enough to sabo - can get "punished" or provoke spirits to sabo them back. If u could afford buying a "place" on land, designated for ground burial, the minimum starts from $40,000 and should be somewhere at the back of media corp's office, at farrer park where u see all tombstones. Those are good plot of lands for fengshui burial purposes by the rich. Some are as costly as $150,000. I didn't really think that this is necessary for ordinary folks. Even one of the ex-president wee kim wee chose to have his ashes placed at mandai columbarium among his citizens, bringing himself down to the level of where people's hearts was. What a humble & kindly man he was during his surviving years! But if u feel more at ease to have booked a good fengshui spot, the just go ahead.
  13. Altar hanging in the mid-air against walls saves alot of space. However, for some elderly folks, they r not receptive to such an idea. Their belief is such that the altar should be touching the ground for great stability in all aspects of their lives (including occupants of their home). And for some who are ultra superstitious, "hanging" mid-air (off the ground) meant getting "stuck" in whatever one does; with no recourse or solutions and would always find themselves "stuck" or caught up in difficult situations & have problems manoveuring out of their present difficulties. I'm not sure how true that is. My comments r for sharing purposes only.
  14. I think u r referring to the columbarium. The "place" where the urn had been placed in is known as a niche. When my paternal grandfather passed away in the mid of year, his niche (Madai) was below eye level because those at the eye level are taken up, except for those eye-leveled ones which were available but sitting below the beams. My maternal granny booked hers along side with my maternal grandfather & his 1st wife many decades ago. It is coincidental that during the last qing ming festival that she had seen (last year), her children were shocked to see the "seal" for her niche had peeled off! Nobody breathe a word about it to her but it was odd that she knew her time was near during December last year. Normally after a hairdo & buying new clothes for CNY this year, she will look herself in the mirror & smile. However, she looked very sad for the first time, and kept telling my mother no need to waste $$ buying new clothes becox she knew that her time was near. And she said that the hairdo she did at the orchard salon was her last & also a preparation for her new journey to the next world - my mother & her sisters were very very sad after hearing her say this And true enough, my maternal granny collapsed on the eve of CNY just before reunion dinner this year and passed away on the 2nd day of the CNY in the wee hours of the morning. Upon cremation, there were many beautiful "she li zi" 舍利 among the ashes. It was comforting for us to know that she has probabbly joined the world of buddhas.
  15. Both my sister inlaw & brother inlaw went down on our behalf to Baroque's shop at Joo Chiat and things didn't go down well with them. I was very surprised becox I saw such raving reviews abt them altho' there were a minority who complained. And they advised us to drop Baroque. For my inlaws to say that, then things must have really been bad becox my inlaws are very easy going folks from the polite society. My brother inlaw complained that they have to repeat themselves several times in both English & mandarin, including hokkien before the consultant they were assigned to, understood what my inlaws were trying to tell them. And when my sister inlaw exclaimed that they are so pricey, the consultant and the rest pulled a very long, sulky face - definitely not a professional image projected. Thereafter such a statement was made, the consultant's adopted a non-chalant attitude. So petty. Can't trust how they could do a good job or provide aftersales service when they expect customers to tell them the things that they would like to hear! It was a long story and we won't be using them - drop them & blacklisted them for good. Looks like they don't have a very clearly defined corporate image yet. Business must be too good for them to be selective with clients. I noticed that their contact numbers & address are "hidden" under the section known as 'E-Quote' and I couldn't help but feel a very strong hint that there's a lack of transparency in their business management style. My apologies if this comment is perceived to be too cursory by the Baroque's supporters as this was our very own experience with this ID company.
  16. bk888, I like ur sense of humour. That was really a good one!
  17. Forgot to include LT's video on Symbolic meaning of Gold
  18. 金 = Gold 水 = wealth Symbolic meaning. Lilian Too & her daughters always colour their hair a goldish tone. What does that mean for them? Wearing "金 = Gold" on top of their heads?? Check out her you-tube video on the symbolic meanings of GOLD. (please disregard religious contents)
  19. Does anybody have any recent feedback with Baroque? Any comments please? Thanks in advance!
  20. U could check for any blacklisting / suspension of reno contractors or IDs (who have a HDB license) from HDB's website. Just go to their search engine and type out 'renovation contractors'.
  21. Hi Kinryu69, Does that mean that we must reposition the altar table to another location if the deity sitting at the current location doesn't give a positive response?
  22. Hi muffin, I know leh... jux disturb kalimantan for fun only Otherwise it's very boring over RT
