I'm not sure about the Malays in Malaysia but one thing that I'm very certain about is that there are Singaporean Malays who believe in FS and had applied FS to their homes & offices. There was a programme aired in Suria sometime a couple of years back (or was it last year) where they included a segment that featured an interview with a Malay FS master. And he gave a short introduction of how the Malays could strike a balance between Yin & Yang for their homes.

Yes your dad is right to advise against sleeping under the beam. I did once in sleeping under a beam for 2 years and it was only towards the 2nd year that I had been experiencing many health problems. None of the doctors could explain what led to my poor health conditions and I cured myself in sleeping in another room, without the beam. And I only started shifting my bed position after a friend scolded me for sleeping under a beam. Another friend whose uncle slept under a beam, died of a stroke within 6 months. He died in the flat for several days and nobody knew until a bad stench was detected near his flat. When the police found him, he was lying in his usual favourite place i.e. under the beam & his mouth had foamed with nose bleeding. I'm not sure if it's coincidental but there were many incidences in which people fell sick after sleeping after beams for a very long time. In Fengshui, it is akin to getting chopped into half by a giantic knife!

For those who wants metal balls / sculptures, they could request for a quote at Metalworld Pte Ltd. Apart from wrought iron gates, they customise sculptures too. Not too sure about the cost though ... but customisation are expected to cost more than mass production.

How come nowadays all the newer flats & buildings have so many beams all over the place? For suicide by hanging on the neck like in Chinese ancient, period dramas?? My Pasir Ris 5 room flat has ... (counted) 5 beams!
-
Hi although I am no FS expert but this is a very common layout. moreover if the wall is 15 feet away from main door, I don't think there really is any big issue. My friends who were staying in the newer flats at redhill had their main door facing a wall within 2 feet & their flats are fetching at about $785,000 right now.

My hubby is sleeping with the fan 30 cm from his feet - which means that the wind from the fan will reach his feet then the other parts of his body. Did u mean to say that this is bad for health? What will happen?
-
U must be kidding when u suggested that! R u sure it'll warrant the use of a safety helmet? So what are methods 2, 3, etc? My girlfriend was another extremist: she also has a beam running above the toilet bowl so she & her hubby uses the other toilet. That one with the beam is out of bounds!

Yes if a person sleep under the beam, it's like getting chopped into 2 parts. There was a period of time when I slept under a beam, not realising that it had such an adverse effect until I had flu almost every week. The a friend who visited us scolded me for being a FS idiot. I shifted my bed & recovered gradually! How about a beam above the back of the sofa? My sofa seems to be there for show since we're always out of the flat. The newer generation flats seemed to have beams here & there Saw a friend's 5-yr old toa payoh flat, it had so many pillars & beams that we were in the state of confusion when inside her home. And half of the entrance of her master bedroom was hidden by a pillar: a very odd design. Cannot bring down the pillar otherwise the entire block of flats will collapse. Old flats don't seem to have that many beams...

I've seen kitchens with black table tops but haven't seen it paired off with black cabinets yet. So is it ok to have this type of design? (i.e. black cabinet + black kitchen table top)

wow u r very very creative leh... But I think u can't scrub the floor too hard just incase the currency fade off!
-
Ok good idea... Ur comments make me laught... kekekeke... But u r very erhmmm... mean leh. hahahaha But I saw some photos in renotalk where people had black tiles for toilet flooring, walls & basin also black, toilet boil also black. Only the shower hose is silver. I would get a heart attack at night sitting on the toilet bowl inside a black box leh... Maybe it's easy to maintain becox of the colour black right?

I'm supposed to have housewarming next weekend at my girlfriend's new home. She told me that all her floor tiles are black & walls r snow white... Even the hotel lobbies don't have a pure black flooring! Yeah maybe it'll have a swallowing up kind of sensation...
-
Huh? Put my photo at your door? U mux be crazy!!! I'm not $-god leh...
-
Does anybody know the impact of having BLACK floor tiles in a house where Feng Shui is concerned?
-
do u require glue to keep the 6 coins in place above the door? Or use scotch tape? Did he say when u have to remove the coins? I have neighbours who keep their doors opened even during the night & wee hours of the morning (4am). I'm starting to wonder if they have adopted the 6-coin strategy too!

Hi Bepgof, ur explanation & depth of understanding on FS is very "cheem" leh... Then got any way to work around it for those staying in EM? 5 room corner unit got such problem or not? My flat's living room is lined with entire rows of windows, altogether 8 windows (4 swing type & 4 sliding type)...

It's all about one's beliefs. For English names, I did notice that many of us take after the meaning and become what the English name refers to. At least, it did for me...

If you want your chinese name to take effect, you'll need to do a deed poll at the lawyer's office and with the deed poll, make a trip down to ICA (immigration dept next to lavendar mrt station) to get ur IC replaced. The new IC will reflect your new chinese name. Otherwise, I don't think it's going to have much effect on the person. I did it in 2007, cost me approximately $210 (FSM's fees + deed poll + ICA fees for change of NRIC). Mine came with the exact pronounciation. When the master presented the new name to me, I felt good & liked it immediately. It is extremely important that U get a master who is very good in bazi interpretation because if he/she interprets wrongly, the outcome would be a disaster... I use a Taiwanese master (Chen Yin Chieh) who doesn't advertise but is very popular in bazi reading, very accurate as he is very well-versed in Purple Star Astrology. If you are interested, I could PM u his contacts but I'm not sure if you would be able to get into the Q.

Hi, it's not that nobody wanted to reply to your post. It might be because none of us knew about those 2 masters that U've highlighted in ur discussion thread. So cannot comment on which master u should go to. I do agree with muffin. Change of name is also not to be trifled with because in some instances, if their masters aren't skillful enough in instituting the change, the outcome could be a disaster. The Hilton Hotel tragedy: It was published in the chinese newspapers that the groom has 2 exactly different chinese names, one of which was his original from parents & the other was from a master. 1 classmate also did the name change during our primary school days. Within 2 weeks of the deed poll for name change in lawyer's office, her dad died in a freak accident while at work; the entire family was thrown in dire straits when they lost their sole breadwinner. And my classmate was the eldest in the family with young siblings & her mother was pregnant at that time. Not sure if that was their destiny or anything to do with her change of name but from that day onwards, everyone of us get really wary when we are told to change our name. Since U're firmed up in changing of name, you might want to consider a chinese name with same pronounciation as ur original name. That is a safer option since u're already an adult as muffin has indicated. I changed my name on NRIC with a deed poll from the solicitor's office. But I did it 3 yrs back after serious consideration & also consulted the GuanYin at waterloo street. Same pronounciation as my original name & many aspects have improved, especially my health.

Wow that's something really new to me! Haven't come across such an anatomy on anybody yet.

Hi folks, For all of u out there who has this type of lines on your palm and who read my earlier posting about my friend, please do not misinterpret that (my friend's character, problems) will apply to all of you. Apart from those lines on the palm, there will be other different lines & symbols that will be read as a whole for palmistry. In addition, date/ timing of birth, facial features & one's skeletal bones... So u can have 2 persons with such palm but different date/ timing of birth, face. Having such a palm is not a death sentence for all women. It's for future reference purposes in improving oneself.

Yes, she got divorced twice. And she is very strongly opinionated i.e. like that means like that, like this means like this. No negotiation or bargaining is allowed. Cannot compromise at all. As a friend, I lend her a listening ear but it is difficult to highlight her faults and get her to acknowledge her weakness.
-
I strongly believe that there are very famous & established Geomency practisioners who do not have such lines on their palms. Every individual is as unique as the lines on their palms. It's really up to him to say what he wants... I've got a girlfriend who has such lines on her palms but she is definitely not in the Geomency industry, doesn't believe in FS. In some cultures, they use the lines on the palms to assess one's health condition, character and mind culture, etc etc.

I am not a fan of leather sofas & seats. It just feels so hot and uncomfortable to sit on especially during a hot day (when room is not airconditioned). But I was told that genuine leather products would cost $5k & above and comes with at least 5 years warranty. The higher the percentage of animal's skin they use for fabricating the material, the more expensive, supposed to be more durable.

Oh dear! Did you try cancelling the order in the first place because it took way too long for delivery. You could try calling in to CASE hotline to obtain advice first. They might refer you to small claims court (I'm not sure about the quantum of monies involved for getting referred to small claims court)
