  1. Does it work well for you? I read books & study topics all over the place: toilet, bed, sofa, sitting on a stool at coffee table. Outside my flat: at bus-stop/inside the bus & mrt train. But I never read at my dining table or kitchen. I always make a mess out of my kitchen when I study recipes from cookbooks & cook at the same time.
  2. Hi Gemeni2010 U might want to try the following gynae whose used by myself & my all my sister inlaws as she is a very very well-known Gynae in Singapore, also known as the mother of test tube babies here for us Singaporeans: Maurine Tsakok Inc Pte Ltd#03-01 Camden Medical Centre, Tanglin, 248649, Singapore p: 68354300 f: 68354909 Back in the 1980s all the way to 1990s, she was very very well-known as a state Gynae in Singapore's government hospitals. During those days, Professor Tsakok would be delivering for the VVIPs' wives. After my mother gave birth to me in the 1970s, she wasn't able to conceive for the next 10 years. Through the wife of a big gun (i.e. someone with very high social status), my mother was referred to Professor Tsakok and shortly thereafter, she gave birth to my 2nd sister, who was named after her. And, my 3rd sister followed & came along really fast - so their birthdays are exactly 1 month apart from each other! My mother got so fertile that she went back to Professor Tsakok for some operational procedure (to stop conceiving).
  3. U can read about her profile here in this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lillian_Too I heard from one rosewood furniture company's boss that LT picked up her FS skills from a very well-known Malaysian FS practisioner who is now, well into his 90s. I couldn't recall his name (a grandfatherly elderly man with white hair, chubby-looking like the laughing buddha) but the rosewood boss claimed that he had written many many abstract "cheem" books on FS, and many datuks & Malaysian socialites had engaged & consulted him on geomency. 1 audit can easily cost up to $20,000!!!
  4. There are geomencers who recommend that their clients undergo plastic surgery to improve their luck but based on what I heard from the elderly folks is that those who change their facial features on their own, don't live long, i.e. short life. But Joey Yap's books have photos of Europeans. So I think what he said would probabbly apply to ALL races & cultures??
  5. I don't think he mentioned anything about geographical zones...
  6. Hi thanks muffin & Ivy for responding to my entry My dad always buys her magazines & some books featuring her articles because he claimed that some of her recommendations worked for him. But for me, FS is more than just putting things here & there. If a person has a very bad bazi, bad luck cycle, I don't think FS is going to make a difference because FS is just one of the many aspects (used to judging how good a person's life would turn out to be). If it's a person's destiny that his/ her family would break up, I think it's very challenging to run away from fate. Not that it is impossible but it's very tough to change a person's destiny. When my father inlaw was still alive, he did many good deeds, in a bid to lengthen his lifespan. He had very long "buddha" ears with thick, fat, pearl-shaped ear lopes. But when he reach 58 years old, he died immediately after he fell down & hit his head on the concrete pavement. His death was swift & uninformed, very unexpected. When my hubby went to get his bazi analysed by our geomencer who uses purple star astrology during the 1990s, the geomencer told us that my father inlaw was already long gone. My hubby had quite a shock when he went on to say that his father wouldn't live past 60 years old & would die in the year of goat, snake or cow; and thereafter, my mother inlaw would be struck by an incurable illness which would also happen in the year of goat, snake or cow. And it was indeed true & extremely accurate, that my father inlaw died at 58 years old in the year of snake when my hubby was doing his national service & that 2 years later (year of goat), my mother inlaw had been hit by a truck while she was crossing the road. She was so badly shaken by (suffered from broken arm & leg) that she started suffering from post traumatic disorder. Indeed, she remain incurable & plagued with mental illness until today. That was really 命 (fate) and 因果报应 (karma) where parents' 命格 was so clearly interpreted through their children's bazi. *sigh* But my geomencer did say that a minority was lucky enough to escape their bad karma, and he said that was really their "命"... that was so "cheem". Hey, I also came across LT (lilian too's) you-tube videos where she introduced all those fanciful stuff sold in her online boutique. Has anybody tried her rings engraved with Tibetan sutras? And if yes, did it really work? She said that some of her clients who wore those rings escaped from disaster unscathed; sounds abit erhmmm... exaggerating leh...
  7. who is LT? I was told by my master that bazi is something that doesn't change whereas facial features & palm lines, shapes would change over time. So he said to use the facial features & palmistry to complement bazi.
  8. This was the book that I read & mentioned earlier in this discussion thread: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/9833332048...04JBGG8TYGZB71X While searching through yahoo for the title of his books, I saw that he has other publications on face reading books too like the one below, which I haven't read yet: http://www.masteryacademy.com/estore/itemdetail.asp?iid=580 It shows the contents of the first 8 pages. Quite interesting when he talked abit about Evita Peron's facial features & her skin. Skin texture (condition) is an indication of a person's health condition. Taut skin is probabbly indicative of a drying up of fluids in body so definitely, not a good sign - more of a common sense thing, no need to get an expert to read facial features. Those who are very fit & healthy adults, will have a certain glossy sheen on their skin. Not considered oily but they will have very shiny skin all over their bodies.
  9. Meet me also no use becox I do not have these type of features to show u. U can borrow his book on face reading from national library here in Singapore. It's a lot clearer in the book.
  10. About HDB residents who had bought the recess area directly outside their main door, I recalled watching a chinese documentary programme sometime this year (or was it last year?) on Channel 8, about this group of residents in Singapore who were being asked to remove all their wrought iron fixtures that cordoned the recess area. HDB wanted them to install firewalls around that recess area in view of fire safety reasons. HDB's rationale was that if the existing recess area is simply cordoned with wrought iron grilles, and when the area catches fire e.g. cigarette butts or unforseen fire hazards/ attacks, those folks staying inside the flats will have no escape route. So for safety reasons, they would have to build up a proper fire-rated wall such that their "main" door is now situated at the recess area - to seal up & prevent such possibilities. That new "main" door will also have to be fire rated. With the entire recess area to be walled up with fire-rated walls in that documentary programme, the residents have got to pay alot of $$, I think it is close to $10k per unit (not sure if it's before or after subsidies). The residents were very very unhappy & angry, and appealed against HDB's mandate. Many of them had already spent alot of $$ to install beautiful, intricate wrought iron grilles at the recess area & to build a firewall there would be very stuffy as there is no ventilation inside that recess area. One English-speaking resident even told the press that they had already spent close to $10k on wrought iron. The programme also featured another unit in the same block who had been newly bought by another resident, & who was smart enough to get his contractor to build up a fire rated wall & fire rated door to seal up the recess area. They even had an expert in this field to inspect the unit's newly constructed recess area - and his verdict was thumbs up. So for those who have bought the recess area recently or who have intention to do so, it's preferrable that they verify with HDB is it's ok to just fence up the recess area with just wrought iron grilles or must they construct a proper fire-rated wall to encase the entire recess area. Cost alot of $$ to construct fire rated walls & doors...
  11. The first book I've read by Joey Yap was on face-reading. It was very interesting because there were very clear illustrations that went with his explanations, most were pictures & some were photographs of real people. Joey Yap believes in using facial features to judge a person and claims that it's useful for taking note on how to deal with them. Like for a person whose gums are exposed when they smile, are those who couldn't keep secrets. So never share any confidential or important stuff with them; and these are also not suited in job positions that deals with confidential info or info that is vital to the employer's business. In general, this is true but not for all with such features. An exception lies with a family friend whose gums are exposed when she smiles but she keeps a very professional distance, even with family members & friends, she was intelligent enough to side-step questions that she couldn't answer becox of her position as a MD to a subsidiary of companies. The impression given is that she was very sociable, polite but superficial too. But I did notice that there is still a certain degree of relevance to what he's mentioned in his book. Like those with a receding chin (i.e. the opposite of a protruding chin, means no chin) are very slow in taking action & very slow workers. I realised that was very very accurate. Used to work with a few persons who had such chins, they take eons or "centuries" to get things done! One lady who supervises a team of staff, has a high, protruding forehead & a receding chin (i.e. no chin). Anything that's passed to her, she takes a very long time to make a decision & would be changing mind all the time even after she has given a reply in black & white. Gosh, it was a nightmare dealing with her! U can never get things done while waiting for her ... to make up her mind finally
  12. We saw a few with eyes that were closed or almost closed. My parents said to avoid becox u'll want the deities at home to be watching out for everyone in the family. But there must be a reason why the artisans made them with their eyes closed. One neighbour even told us that the deity's eye level should be guarding the ash pot where the joss sticks are offered & placed in.
  13. U can try Robinsons at Centrepoint. If you're lucky, you might jux catch a huge stylish piggybank there. I recalled seeing some of those piggybanks 3 months ago... in all types of prints & colours. stylish for me & really cute. But be prepared to pay. Or you can try takashimaya departmental store. They do carry interesting stuff on & off.
  14. Like what I've mentioned in my earlier entry that "some people" i.e. not all, will have such issues. Not sure if it's also because of destiny or no affinity with some of the deities.
  15. Hi Kalimantan, It's advisable that you consult the professionals on this matter as it's very tricky and complicated. There's many issues involved because I do not think that you can just combine any dieties together, especially when they aren't housed in a temple, but at home. The temples would probabbly have "niches" for different types of dieties as you'll have noticed it during your visits - they must have a reason as to why they do that. Everbody has different practices. I've read somewhere that says it's not advisable to combine statues of GY & Kuandi together. And also, for some people, they claimed that they became very very unlucky after having many statues of different dieties placed in their homes. I have no idea if their bad luck has anything to do with it. So it's best to get the procedure right for the very first time & not take risks. It's advisable to check with your regular FS master, that's if u have one. Otherwise, you might want to contact the Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple at No. 15, Arumugam Road, Singapore 409960, tel : 6-744-3187. Their website address is: http://www.shtemple.org.sg/ The priests there should be able to advise you. Good Luck!
  16. Does anybody have any ideas what it means when the Kwan Yin statue carries a book or scroll in one hand?
  17. The latest in yahoo news is that her sister, known as Grace is requesting that the public stop criticising her mentally deranged sister & leave her & her family in peace. Very tragic & sad case.
  18. Oh my, this lady is extremely mentally disturbed. She had her face plastered with some white stuff and was getting violent. The MRT staff should be alerted and she be admitted immediately to IMH. At the rate she is raving mad in the train, she is a threat to anybody's safety as she has a tendency to attack people around her. Got no sense of shame to be screaming & shouting like that. And she kept shouting "seow" when it's obvious that she's the one whose mentally unsound. Pathetic & stressful for her family members & neighbours who are staying near her. Whatever that she has gone thru to make her lost her mind, it's important that we humans learn to adapt to a less than ideal environment in this world instead of expecting our surroundings to change to suit our needs. At least, we'll be happier with a stronger mind that's resilient to external issues. Mind power is an extremely important thing for us humans. I have one poor neighbour staying in another block nearby where he was unlucky enough to stay opposite a unit where the owners had a mentally unsound daughter. She suffered from post-traumatic disorder after her fiance took off with her $ & didn't turn up during their ROM. She would shout out curses at them & anybody who drops by everyday, including after 9pm. It was worse-off than the lady in the you-tube video as she would wet her pants as she shouted curses while standing at the gate. She asked that poor neighbour & his sons why they were still alive when the rest have already dead; and why don't think jump off the block & die! So unlucky to be cursed after everyday!
  19. Hi dinobros, Yes I share similar concerns as you too! You're lucky that you have somebody elderly & experienced (i.e. your mother) to fall back on when you're buying your flat. We weren't as lucky becox the elderly members of my family were all not residing in Singapore when we bought our flat. And, we ended up with a flat that isn't favourable according to many chinese, especially the very "pang-tang" type. And yes, never ever buy a flat that's above the electrical room!! It's like walking on short-circuits all the time & it's likely that it affects the Qi for the premises, and if indeed that unlucky, the owners & occupiers might face poor health & even great misfortunes. No joke about this. We know of a lady in our neighbourhood who stays in a flat where the rooms are revolving around the lift. The Qi is very unstable & the female owner (i.e. the lady) always falls sick & the family is very quarrelsome, they fight among themselves very often. All r extremely hot-tempered, impatient & poor listeners. And it's a wise choice that U're trying to find out more & learn abit about FS first before engaging anybody to audit your flat. Agents can't be trusted: their responsibility is to sell as many properties & earn their commission. So you've really got to judge on ur own. But if your facing is South-west, I think that's a popular choice among many Chinese. As to whether it suits you & your spouse or not, it really depends on your bazi-s. If you require any recommendations for FS masters, please let me know. I could PM you mine: tried & tested by myself & friends with established track records; we compared with other FS masters whom we have also tried before, or on impulse and still preferred this one becox he's very skillful by Singaporean standards.
  20. Hi dinobros, I'm a FS dummy even though I had tried reading up abit about FS. Do you think it's a safer option to engage a FS master instead of auditing your own premises? My brother inlaw tried to do such stuff like alignment for our matrimonial flat 10 yrs ago. Out of goodwill. But things went wrong for us after that. So I would like to share with you that unless you're well-versed in FS or one of those with very good destiny who has very strong resilience against any FS "mistakes" or faults. Otherwise, it'll be good to seek the expertise of skillful FS masters. Please do not misconstrue my comments as be-littling DIY practices becox it's my 2 cents worth of sharing my own personal experience on this info-sharing platform.
  21. I didn't know that there are zi wei dou shu classes conducted in Singapore!
  22. Hi leechaorui, have u ever tried checking it out with your FS master? Apart from the bedroom bring sandwiched in between 2 toilets, there are many considerations to make when u get your flat audited for FS purposes. It's recommended that U check this out with a skillful FS master instead of looking for your own cures. I have seen friends with similar FS issues for their premises but even the same FS master might institute a different "cure" because FS recommendations should be integrated as a holistic approach, not fragmented & stand-alone "cures".
  23. I only have the following: a) artificial lights with lotus motifs - only turned on when I light up joss sticks. b) 1 cup of water with a lid c) flowers - those which r pom-poms i.e. cut from the stem that u can get at $1 per packet from most florists. But I only offer during 1st & 15th days of the lunar calendar. Maybe I'm a lazy pig. But during chinese new year, I'll have the "fa" cake.
  24. Hi muffin, I think u could be extremely tired without realising it. My sofa is also placed directly under the beam & my hubby falls asleep immediately when he sits on the sofa (including any sofas, even those on display in furniture malls). My sinseh said that his body is very tired & upon relaxation of his muscles on the sofa/ bed, he falls asleep instantly!
  25. I just realised that the round light has been directly above our bed in the master bedroom & for the past 10 years, we've been sleeping below it but thus far, nothing happened. But another neighbour staying below said they got really sick after sleeping below the lighting... and their lighting is in the same position as ours in the master bedroom. FS is indeed a very "cheem" thing... can't explain in jux a few words as to what is good or bad. Too complicated. It's dependent on many aspects.
