Meeting Geomancer 31st Dec - Questions To Ask
edenstrauss replied to kalimantan's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Hi kalimantan, I don't think it's the same master tong that the rest of the RT forumers are talking about. U're saying that his condo audit is only $480 for a start. There are more than 1 masters tong in this FS industry here in Singapore. There is one that charges about more than $1k which 1 member shared & my neighbours who had it audited by another master tong is also billed around that price for his condo. So likely that it's 2 different persons. My taiwanese FS master charges $880 for condo. The paper story under the bed is new to me but the red paper story with some chinese wordings written on it and to be sewn inside pillow case isn't new. Several years ago, I was told to do that by 1 aunty who sells joss sticks & prayer materials at bedok. And after sleeping with it for about 1 yr, then use joss papers to burn it away. She even taught me to pray to "Tai-Yin" goddess at home. Which, errrrrr, ultimately, led to pretty disastrous effects. But what's that putting the paper under bed for? Sounds interesting. I put a huge piggy bank under my bed, and put coins inside it every day when i'm in singapore. -
Does anybody know what is the current market rate for rental of a single room? Any difference in rental rates b/w that of aircon & non-aircon bedroom? Assumption: Not near MRT station but a very convenient location where there are many buses (more than 10 bus service numbers) right at door step (near expressway), amenities 1 bus-stop away e.g. IKEA, Giant, NTUC fairprice supermarket, food courts, etc. Location: Pasir Ris.

wow u're so lucky! But there are some things that we have to be superstitious about. Better to be safe than sorry.

Before you make any rectifications, it's recommended that u consult a professional geomencer. The reason being that different owners react to such layouts differently due to their bazi and/ or combination of bazi. Not every owner will be affected by such so called "non ideal" layouts. I have a friend who bought a resale matrimonial flat with a kitchen of a layout similar to those of yours. She was told the same thing and the Geomencer got her to revamp her kitchen, laying claims that if she doesn't her marriage will be jeopardised. However, her marriage broke up eventually even after the major reno for her kitchen.
-
We're all salivating over those properties out there but having it might mean having more financial commitments & burden. So might as well not think about it. When those owners lost their properties, their financial woes would be alot more serious and they might end up worse-off than us ordinary, working class folks. So let's count our blessings

Is Fengshui Really Working Staying?
edenstrauss replied to minnie_dexter's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Fengshui takes up just a small percentage of geomency. Meaning that if a person's bazi is so bad that he or she is destined to fail as predicted by genuine FS professionals, then I believe that no amount of FS audits could cure them. I've used to have a colleague whose crazy about FS at her work station. She even brought along her lucky crystal with her during her exams for a specialist diploman. But she flopped both at work & exams. Reason: she didn't bother to change for attitude for a positive one & brush up on her work skills. And when her buddy and her boss tried to counsel her, she kept insisting that it's becox of the FS for her work station - a huge pillar right in front of her work station. They got her to swap place with another staff who was doing mailing & data entry. However, we didn't see any remarkable improvements in her performance. So FS is not a cure-it-all for every problem one faces. -
After 60 Years Old, No More Bother Of Fs, Etc ?

Hi bk888, I strongly agree with you! With the intervention of luck (and karma), it's a great challenge to change a person's destiny where $$ is concerned. -
Wow, Really So Many Rich People Here ...
edenstrauss replied to kalimantan's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
I have a friend who does just that, to the extent that both she & her hubby r each left with $10 or so (fr their salary) or so in their bank accounts every month. They go on bread & instant noodles and have their breakfast & dinner at their inlaws' place for a few years & rented out their flat. At least u've both got a private property to ur name. I don't even have any! My perspective on the disparity for financial wealth/ status is perhaps not just about hard work and planning. For some, yes, but they might have lady luck smiling on them at the right time. Opportunities for making $$ & optimising that acquired wealth are extremely important. And not everybody is granted that sort of opportunity to do so. They need to have that sort of "life" (destiny). Some were born into extremely wealthy families where they are destined to be surrounded by $$ all their life. So for them to cough out $1M just to rectify a portion of their home for FS purposes, is no big deal. I believe in destiny, i.e. 命理 so how much $$ a person is destined to have is more or less fated. There might be a leeway to change things but it is a very tough challenge to do so. There are many factors to consider, some of which are not within our control. Aside to kalimantan : You don't need any car to get around in Singapore even tho' it might be more convenient if u have ur own transport. Moreover, u have your manual "kah" (meaning "legs" in hokkien) and that's enough to get around the whole of Singapore! And I don't think that $10k for reno is considered cheapo. U r very conservative & wise in ur spending which is good becox $$ is very hard to earn & reno expenditures are sunk cost for me becox u may not be able recover that amount when u sell ur place. -
9-horse Painting (nw Sector) & Lights 24 By 7

Hi ngunadi, Most of my inlaws are entrepreneurs from different industries, such as estates & properties, banking & conveyancing, chemicals, etc. They had their premises audited by my Taiwanese FSM but they received different recommendations. Meaning that only this particular inlaw had such a 9 horse painting with lights turned on. Another of my uncles who is dealing with the undertaking business was told to put up a water feature with a crystal but with something else embedded into the pond in his garden. His brother was told to shut down his business and work for people instead becox based on his bazi, no amount of FS techniques is going to save him from financial troubles & bankruptcy ultimately. -

I had the impression all this while that u had a very irrational prejudice against my Taiwanese FSM since day 1 of getting to know you and throughout our exchange of personal messages, you get exceptionally tactless & outright sarcastic when he is drawn into the picture. That was and still is my observation. You had given the impression that u were so biased against him that u took the opportunity to put him down when I wrote in on the 9-horse painting & the lights - which was uncalled for. It came across as an obvious, implied signal that u seemed to know who my FSM is and where he stands in the FS industry (especially with his popularity with businessmen & big-time entrepreneurs) because he is someone whose a strong contender from your FS industry (that's if u r already a FSM to be so well-versed in FS methodologies & practices) or have relatives who are FSMs. We have strong respect for this Taiwanese FSM becox he had done alot of things for us & our relatives over a span of 10 years - proven track records of knowing his stuff well. And apart from hard work, intelligence & opportunities, these achievements that we've have had wouldn't be possible without his guidance as our Geomencer or consultant. So, I would greatly appreciate it if you could have some 口德 over the forum. Since u always like to preach about BIG theories i.e. 大道理 , I will like to bring to your kind attention that u ought to be aware that any act of badmouthing / ridiculing ur competitors isn't going to put u ahead of ur business or that of your relatives from the FS industry. And talking about 曹操 and 华佗, I don't recall 华佗 being so tactless and undiplomatic. 华佗 is too well-learned a person (and a physician) with cultured mannerisms for just anybody e.g. yourself to be compared to the likes of him. Even though I am lacking interms of knowledge for China history (which is of great interest to u) and am not as cultured as yourself interms of the mandarin culture, I have never read or heard about 华佗 poking fun at others or reducing people to a state of having a backward ah-beng or ah-seng mentality. He's a great physician with breakthrough records in the China History. As such, please keep his records clean and not "tainted" with such unwanted associations. As for myself, be it 曹操 or not, at least, I'm real and sincere because I do not believe in pretending to be who I am not. So, don't come and preach to me about all your 大道理 because it's like barking up the wrong tree and isn't going to work for everyone! -

Where To Buy Nice Wall Hanging Art Piece At A Reasonal Price?
edenstrauss replied to RedDevil76's topic in Home Deco
This discussion threads reminded me of TCS' Bryan Wong's remarkable art pieces done directly on the wall. His signature Audrey Hepburn was my favourite. Sensational & haute! Many of my girlfriends went ga-ga over it. Or if u want a painting, u might want to try out IKEA because they've got some very artsy drawings at a reasonably low price. I think that their quality is reasonably good & should last for a long time. My printed picture of a flower blooming from IKEA was bought 10 yrs ago & is still doing well - still blooming although the pink colour has faded to a lightish sort of grayish pink -
Hi reddust, I'm surprised to hear you saying that PD doors are good. Before I got my toilets door changed, many of my neighbours showed me their PD doors & all of us share the same sentiments that we wouldn't consider it. The latch holding the 2 panels together isn't catered for heavy usage. My neighbours complained that after the latch was spoilt, and they banged onto it, both panels fell apart! I even saw the condition of a few PD doors, one of which was still in a very good condition in a couple's home (no kids & they were rarely at home in Singapore). The rest were either shabby or falling apart. I have the impression that ur home must be very well-maintained even with kids around.

9-horse Painting (nw Sector) & Lights 24 By 7
edenstrauss replied to edenstrauss's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Hi there, Watch your words. Not everybody is gifted and brainy like yourself in being well-versed in the mandarin culture & being able to break the code for FS equations, theories which was why I wrote in RT to ask but not for my inlaws, my FSM & myself to be ridiculed or insulted at with such a question. If my inlaws aren't people who possess exceptional business acumen, they wouldn't be owning properties all over Singapore & Asia. At least, I'm stupid enough based on your standards becox I have no idea what it meant. But please bear in mind ur language at ridiculing others. Or putting others down just becox u perceive urself as a smarter person. This is not a nice & good thing to do because what comes around will ultimately go around eventually - at least I'm a strong propagator & believer of karma. So I do not believe in laughing at others or putting them down. Anyway, whether my Taiwanese FSM has that sort of Ah Seng or Ah Beng mentality or not, or whether his skills were old-school based on your conclusion, what's most important is that his FS techniques worked well. All else like big theories could be cast aside. What's the use of all talks about big theories if it doesn't work when put to practice?? Anyway, thanks for your explanation. -
One of my sister inlaws who had her flat audited by my regular Taiwanese FS master was told to hang a 9-horse painting in the southwest sector of her living room & to leave the 2 lightings (also in the living room) turned on 24 hours a day & 7 days a week so as to have a more prosperous business & career. She did and within a matter of a few days, my brother inlaw's business boomed so much that the couple doesn't have time for lunch now. And to add on to their surprise, a few clients whom had given the business to other competitors (years ago) had returned to them this afternoon, to explore the possiblity of dealing with my inlaws again. So they r busy working on the new contracts now. Although I'm very happy for my inlaws but I just found such happenings abit exaggerated & incredible even though they have benefited within just days. Found it unbelievable that the FS recommendation took effect so fast. In a matter of days??? I always think that it'll start taking effect after 3 months or more upon installation... So what does the 9 horses painting & leaving the lights turned on 24 by 7 meant from the FS perspective? Does anybody know? Her condo is facing the * direction. p/s: I'm so curious. My sister inlaw couldn't rationalise the idea & didn't bother asking during the condo audit by this taiwanese FS master.

After 60 Years Old, No More Bother Of Fs, Etc ?
edenstrauss replied to kalimantan's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Hi kalimantan, R u preparing for retirement when u r asking about FS for people who hit 60 yrs of age? By the time u reach that age, ur views & perspectives are likely to change... for me, I will shelf this issue until I reach that age. Not sure by the time I reach 60 yrs of age, as to whether I will still have the stamina & resources to keep up with FS recommendations. Quite a huge percentage stopped going for their FS consultations when they reach that age. This applies to many ordinary working class folks unless they r putting up with kids & grandchildren - and their next generation/s continued to have their premises audited by geomencers. A few retirees who were previously bigtime businessmen told us that they've already had 1 foot into the coffin, so "see or no see" also make no difference. It sounds really morbid & perhaps pessimistic but they have brought us all back to reality: nobody lives forever becox everybody will leave this place one day so what these old folks claimed is logical. I supposed for these old folks, they r more worried about letting go of things in this life when their time comes. -
I will tell the God my name, my bazi (that's only if I'm requesting for an "answer" through the 2 mini YIN-YANG slabs of wood or oracle) and my residential address. Loud enough for myself to hear.

Is There Such A Thing As Completely Avoid Fan Tai Sui ?
edenstrauss replied to kalimantan's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Based on my own limited frame work of understanding, Taoist deities are different from Buddhas. In Buddhism, the belief is that if they do anything bad to the buddhas e.g. badmouthing (of buddhas & other orthodox religions) or throwing statues away, the buddhas do not believe in "punishing" the offenders. There is a strong belief that bad karma will catch up on them. In Taoism, if the offender commits the offence out of purpose e.g. talk nonsense about the deities, make fun of the deities, challenge the deities, etc, it might just bring about bad consequences, either after some time or almost immediate. So it's best to treat everything and everybody with great respect. Better to be safe than sorry. -

edenstrauss replied to kalimantan's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
I believe that FS will affect everybody at all ages so long as we're all still alive as humans! But the reading of bazi is normally not recommended for older folks when they reached a certain age. The common reason given by fortune tellers said that since the elderly had already lived up till a ripe old age, it's considered very fortunate and they should be contented with their current circumstances and hence, no need for fortune telling. -
Is There Such A Thing As Completely Avoid Fan Tai Sui ?
edenstrauss replied to kalimantan's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Hi kalimantan, I would suggest that the next round when u pray to tai sui, it's highly recommended that u apologise to him & tell him not to get angry & forgive u. Don't play play becox this is for ur own good. Such matters related to Taoist deities are not to be trifled with so it's best to get mistakes rectified as soon as possible. -

There are people who pray to Tai Sui every year whether they "fan" or not. My parents had been praying to Tai Sui every single year for safety & good health. -
Hi muffin, U beat me to it again! Yes that's a very good suggestion which didn't occur to me. The food could taste yummier than those of hotels

I agree that a "clean" & peaceful place is above all else! Otherwise, just imagine, there's no end to it...
