I was told that town coucil (TC) only gives the owner 6 months to install the camera outside their flat. And requires police report to substantiate claims before TC's approval for CCTV to be installed outside premises. Mostly for the purpose of catching shady characters who do things like stealing, destroying plants; vanadalise their doors with paints, etc.

Do u think those scratches could have been inherent during the process of manufacturing them? And what's the colour of your homogenous tiles? I've not had any homogenous tiles at home but those PVC panels that were encased in aluminium frames were delivered to my home with a thin film of plastic that came straight from the PVC panel supplier. The door installer told me that those scratches were present as of day 1 of being created by manufacturers. Even my ceramic tiles have them. My 15-yr old tiles were of high-shine, glossy whitish shade with some blurry designs on them; and when I squat down & look, I could see those scratches in gray or black. I tried using a Japanese imported white sponge, wet them & rub it down alittle & those scratches disappear for awhile & return as dirt, filth sets in. However, I'm not sure if it'll damage homogenous tiles. For ceramic, those sponges work great!

And to add on to muffin's thoughts, those good FSM might not even have a commercial office since publicity thru media isn't required.

please correct me if I'm wrong in saying this: I thought that laminated flooring has a lifetime warranty, as in, free replacement of tiles? My sister got hers without any warranty becox the laminated flooring was thrown into her reno package for free. And she claimed that her tiles r damaged after she mopped over with some detergent! And that there's no cure to it once that layer of resin (or is it plastic) on the tile is damaged.

Do u mean to say that those few laminated tiles have came off on their own? Is it possible for you to contact ur reno contractor to get them to replace those tiles or re-tile the existing ones that loosen out?

I think discrepancies in workmanship applies in general to all ID firms, including the upscale designers. It is true that quality & standards vary when ID firms assign different contractors to each of their clients. As such, for every ID firm, there shall always be both positive & less than satisfactory outcomes. And no forgetting, all clients have different level of expectations. So what's good for one might not be great for the other.

these r 2 different companies but selling such doors working on the same mechanism. In fact they r competitors although I think both r located at Eunos. Before I decided on glass sliding doors, I visited swindslide.com.sg at Eunos. But didn't have the time to hop on to PDdoor. From my perspective, PD doors aren't meant for heavy-duty usage. If u need to swing & slide the door several times a day, I think the mechanism will wear off relatively fast. I haven't seen these doors being installed at public toilets yet

If ur shower area is encased in tempered glass, then ur vanity drawers are on the other end of the toilet, it should be ok. My parents' vanity drawers r made of solid wood; it's been 6 years but I don't see any decaying or mould set in. I suppose it depends very much on maintenance & how u use them.

I'm sceptical over the potency of crystals becox I reacted very adversely towards them since young. Apart from my crystal mala beads which I used as a counter to aid myself in chanting the 6-syllabel mantra, I do not believe in wearing any of them. If u believe that it works for you, it doesn't matter whether it's genuine or a fake. For some, it's more a psychological buffer than anything else. p/s: I don't mean to spook you but it's not a good idea to wear too many types of crystals or have too many types of them in your home, unless you had been advised by a professional to do so. There are people who experienced counter-productive effects after placement of crystals in their homes or wearing them.

Do u think it's a good idea to create your own pamphlets and get that notification deposited in ALL the mailboxes for those blocks which r desirable to yourself? I've been receiving tonnes of advertisements from both agents & individuals who r looking for purchase of flats at my area. As to how responsive the residents are, I've got no idea. My sister inlaw was looking for flats located in certain block numbers in Serangoon. She distributed her own pamphlets door to door and chatted with the residents there. I think it took her more than 1 week and had 2 phonecalls from residents that they were selling.
