Any Recommended Master For Wedding Date?
edenstrauss replied to knightskid's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Since the other master whom the temple recommends has gone back to China, u will need to look elsewhere or if u know how to read the chinese almanac, u could select your own wedding dates. best wishes. -

A joke about pixiu I told my chinese sinseh that I've got a niece who wanted to consult a chinese sinseh becox she had bad skin. And whether it's possible to take medication that doesn't induce any visits to the toilet to empty bowels. This niece doesn't like going to the loo to empty waste too often - odd ball. My chinese sinseh smiled and said that she can become a pixiu becox that one takes in only, and never purge out. kekekekekeke

Or u can try Dzander's... I saw what they have done for my girlfriend and it's good. No china-made materials though.

U can try Soon Bee Huat at changi road (near the mosque / eunos mrt station). Or another one is white horse running along changi road also but in the traffic direction going towards joo chiat complex. It's beside a Taoist temple. Or there is another tile shop directly across great world city - near a prata shop & food court. Or Balestier area.

There r 2 regular priests there but 1 of them have gone back to China. Try calling first to check. If u didn't get to speak to the priest, then u let me know. I try to PM u his number. best wishes -

Which Is The Best Brand For 3-split System?

Did u try mitsubishi? -
That is 3rd dimension fengshui: practising good karma + fengshui = successful fengshui outcomes.

I'm sorry but I didn't quite understand your concerns. R u amalgamating both MBR & common room or R u trying to say that you'll be dividing your MBR into 2 sections? U have many options for dividing the bedroom into 2 sections. U would either use partition board (which cannot withstand hard knocks) & a cheaper option or hollow block (gray coloured bricks with hollow sections) - subject to HDB's approval of course & definitely more expensive. If you intend to reinstate your MBR to its original condition in the near future, you might want to install a divider.

Apart from the dimension between the wall to the centre of the pipe outlet (for channeling waste downwards when u flush), U will need to take note of the flushing mechanism for WCs. If there r back-flow issues or inabilities to flush down the waste, or when water splutters out of the WCs when flushing; it'll be a headache for sure. And U should try out all the WCs in sitting on the display sets in showrooms to make sure that U r comfortable in using the WCs. As for basins, avoid those with a shallow depth or are too narrow. They are pretty to look at but aren't practical.

If conversion from contract to perm is unsuccessful eventually, you'll need to explain your stance very well to prospective employers - as to why u gave up a perm job for a contract. May not come across as good (or even look bad on your resume) unless you are able to convince your interviewers. e.g. switching of career, which leads to a question on why switch. The general mentality is that why should a good-performing employee forgo stability in a permanent role for one that is contractual?? And depending on how the contract-to-perm has been worded in your new work contract. If the commitment is simply verbal, think twice becox there are chances the employer is using this as a carrot stick to lure talents with the required skill sets for the job. No promises made at this juncture becox business plans change all the time. If there is black-&-white commitment that your role would be converted to one that's permanent, say, based on good work performance; and eventually, if it doesn't materialise in view of other reasons e.g. company is not doing well, CEO doesn't approve the proposed permanent headcount from the manpower requisition form, etc, then you'll be the one to suffer. (Some CEO's MNCs might even take away headcounts with high turnover!) And there is definitely a significant degree of uncertainty associated with contractual work assignments. Nobody knows what lies ahead... So, it's highly recommended that u weigh your options carefully after perusing through the contract.

Well Eastwood, you definitely have a choice (on dealing with disturbances arising from bamboo poles) based on Stephen Covey's 7 habits of highly effective people. He is the founder of bepgof's 10/90 rule.
-
Hi Eastwood, What you are facing with your neighbours isn't an isolated case because many of us share our corridoors with neighbours. I didn't think that it would affect our home's fengshui apart from the psychological discomfort it had on the affected parties. Many of my brother inlaws who were staying at the 4-room corner units whereby they share the corridoor with 3-room units (built at a perpendicular angle to their units) had been facing such a "problem" for as long as 30 years. However, they are all doing well in terms of wealth & finances. One of them even managed to draw a 5-figured salary every month thru progressive career development & it doesn't bother him at all even when the neighbours aired their underwear right infront of his doorstep!!! As such, I personally feel that since you aren't able to change the external factors i.e. to stop them from aiming those bamboo poles at your door, then you might want to consider adjusting your own mindset - think positive & things might turn out well b/w u & ur neighbours. But if it's unacceptable from your perspective, then, you might have to talk to your neighbours - definitely risk creating bad chemistry becox they would feel that there is nothing wrong & even misunderstand that you are finding fault with them. Things could worsen if your neighbours are the nasty sort. How about keeping your main door closed? U wouldn't be able to enjoy ventilation or breezes that blow in through your main door though... but at least, you do not get see those poles aiming at your door. Or U might even want to consider relocating i.e. moving to another place. However, even without a corridoor issue in your next new home, you might need to consider other problems arising from neighbours - to sum up, there is no such thing as a perfect neighbour or a perfect environment, especially when you are staying in a flat or condominium. And please also take note that talisman, baguas & bagua-shaped mirrors wouldn't work - they are for warding off evil spirits, not a fengshui cure.
-
Hi bepgof, To sum up what u r saying about the 10/90 rule, there is very little control over one's environment becox of external influences. Hence, it will be wrongful to expect the external environment to change to accomodate to us. But the sad thing is that there are many people, even when they reached old age, are still expecting changes to take place around them. *sigh* So what Stephen Covey is telling his readers is that we will need to adjust our own mindset to widen our own circle of positive influence, instead of expecting the external forces to change (which is almost impossible). A methodology which incidentally, coincides with those of the age-old philosophical teachings of Buddhism, telling us that we need to adjust our own mindsets accordingly as our minds are one of the most powerful tools that we humans have full empowerment over. Although Covey himself is a Christian but I supposed that it doesn't matter which side this method falls under. Many people tried it out & it works wonders in promoting both inner peace & positive thinking if applied correctly.

There are cheaper versions of TOTO WC at Universal Union. U could check out at their showroom on the 2nd floor.

I know how u could deal with such a situation becox I faced the same issue myself at the balcony, study room & the common room which were corroded on the exterior in view of the hot afternoon sun. U will need to contact your estate's town council and they will follow up with you. However, you need to identify the place where the water seeped through. Then, town council will be able to do the repair works from the exterior. Free of charge.

there is definitely no guarantee that we as consumers who pay the full price will get a brand new item. We could bring this up to the sales reps at the retail floor but they will always assure us that what we are receiving are brand new items. So, we have to bear the risk. As for things that come with discounts or cheaply priced as compared to what's found elsewhere, I'll be a sceptical buyer. There is a need to be discerning and make sure that we're not shortchanged!

I also never watch the news on TV too! Not well-read in general knowledge. Luckily I am not sitting for General Papers in A levels this year. Otherwise, gone case. hehehehehe
-
eh? I haven't even heard about such an SMS. Never read newspapers too. But for sure, this has nothing to do with fengshui. Maybe this thread can be ported over the the Kopi Tiam section?

Oh yup before I forget, will like to add this... If you read all about Stephen Covey's 7 habits of highly effective people, he believes that everyone of us have an emotional "bank" account. In any mutual relationship, be it husband & wife or parent-child's, it's not recommended that withdrawals are made all the time e.g. scolding, quarrelling, saying mean things, being rude, etc. That's an equivalent to withdrawing from a party's emotional "bank" account. It'll reach a time where that "bank" account is drained. By the time this happens, the person who has been giving in all the time, has no more to give to the other party whose always withdrawing. As a result, there is a risk that the Gui Ren has become non-existent or worse still, turn into an enemy! So deposits into the emotional accounts of others are definitely more beneficial in securing Gui Rens (noble patrons in life). But do make sure you deposit in the right account hor... otherwise, you'll be in for big big trouble too!
