  1. Hi please pm the nature of ur assignment 2 me. I seek your kind understanding that he is selective on assignments.
  2. Repotting of plants in progress... Congestion of roots which made the plant root bound meant that it's time to repot these plants... But I haven't reported any plants before so itx s new challenge. I jux wondered how I'm going 2 losen them out from their old existing pots... Kind of worried that I might jux injure them & they might jux die on me.
  3. Hi guys why don't the 2 of u upload photographs of their workmanship? There isn't anything 2 fear in uploading photographs showing the faults in their workmanship. In fact, it would hv substatiated your claims & also act as a visual warning 2 potential customers. Pictures do speak for themselves & in a louder tone than words: most readers have 'lazy eyes' & might miss out the written complaints.
  4. It's highly recommended that you go direct to qualified contrators/ builders to obtain quotations based on your requirements. There isn't such a thing as a standard pricing when there are many factors to consider prior to building up soundproof walls. e.g. sizing of the walls, whether there is a need to tear down & rebuild, types of materials used, type of technology used, recabling issues, etc. The contractors or builders would have to visit your place for a site visit to conduct a feasibility study & take measurements prior to providing you a quotation. As such, it's best that you do not hesitate in making an appointment with them so that you have a basis for comparison when it comes to both pricing & methods used for creating soundproof walls for your home.
  5. Butterflies It has been said that a butterfly garden would be created at the Pasir Ris Park, where some of the prettiest blooms would be cultivated. This would attract many butterflies and become a hot spot for photographers who love taking snapshots of butterflies in action. We've managed to take photographs of butterflies using our mini digital camera. It was definitely tough becox we've got to be really careful & hush-hush about moving around them as they might jux get skittish & fly off before we manage to capture those beautiful & colourful moments. Although our digi-cam's resolution isn't as sharp but those butterflies still looks colourful & reasonably clear in the photographs as attached below:
  6. Squirrels Squirrels were also part of the natural habitat @ Pasir Ris Park but I felt that they looked a bit too lean & thin as I've seen larger & fatter ones.
  7. More photographs on other fishes @ the fish farm. pending upload

  12. Upon arrival at the venue, the contestants (i.e. ranchu) were being placed into huge individual white enameled basins, under an extended shade of blue canvas tents. The public such as us, were being barred from entering these premises while judging was still on-going. We were being told that the viewing would only be open to public after the judging is over, which was estimated to be after 1 PM. However, our stomachs were growling hopelessly by 11.35 AM becox we haven't even eaten our breakfast yet. As such, we have only managed to take a few photographs of the competition only. *sigh* And we couldn't make a detour back in the afternoon as we've got another appointment after lunch. So here comes the photographs of 2 of the contestants which were being placed near enough for us to take a photograph of each of them.
  13. Hi folks, We made a special trip down to the Mainland Tropical Fish Farm on Saturday 19th November 2011 @ Pasir Ris with the intention to take a look @ the Ranchus (a particular breed of goldfish) at the All Singapore Ranchu Show (ASRS) 2011. Poster of the ASRS held on 19th November 2011 : Venue of the ASRS:
  14. Hornets A close-up photoshoot of a colourful-looking hornet (or is it a beetle??) amongst a green, leafy creeper.
  15. We're not sure if this bird is known as Shama, which is commonly found during singing bird competitions.
  16. Woodpecker We were surprised to see an Olive-backed woodpecker high up on one of the trees, working hard on the huge sturdy stem. I reckon that the tree must be grateful to the woodpecker for eating up worms & parasites residing on it... My version of a photograph looked really blurry. As such, I've attached a professionally taken photograph of the woodpecker by Mr Paul Huang: There are many breeds of woodpecker. For those of you who are curious as to how some of the other breeds in the family looked like, kindly visit Mr Paul Huang's website at http://www.naturestops.com/. Click on the "Birds" & type in "woodpecker" in the search engine.
  17. We spied on this particular zebra dove & see what it's been up to. These zebra doves looked pretty well-fed even though they were living in the wild. We sincerely hope that things could be kept that way as we are praying that they wouldn't be caught by bird breeders who might just sell them for money or even lock them up in cages.
  18. Hi buddy, I'm happy for u that things are moving fast now I have those huge huge gaping "holes" in my walls too & that made it difficult for us to put in our furnitures. HDB claimed that our flats are constructed such that these egornomics are meant to hold the structures (including structural beams) together. And walls for HDB are not 100% symmetrical or even. The condos are. What are plasterboards? R they hard enough to withstand the impact of being hit (accidentally) or holding onto screws/ nails?
  19. Hi coolbriz, I have already PM-ed u the TCM clinic's contact details. Please check ur mailbox. It isn't true that all medical conditions could be cured by TCM. In my case, my medical condition does relapse if I do not lead a disciplined lifestyle. And diet is extremely important. What's ur mother's diet like? She has to avoid alot of coconut based products, curries & melons. Kangkong vegetables are out for her too becox it promotes "wind" & rheumetism. According to my PRC national friends, they complained that there is a lack or absence of good & knowledgeable TCM physicians here in Singapore. As such, they always try to delay treatment until they return to China. This seems to be sadly the case becox I was being directed to many TCM physicians over the years & I couldn't believe it when they got the diagnosis wrong!
  20. Hi buddy can't wait to see the photographs of your new hone when the renovation is completed with u guys settled in!
  21. I'm sorry about repetitive shots of zebra doves in different positions. Since I didn't know which one to delete, I thought that I'll jux throw in everything on this thread.
  22. ZEBRA DOVES Zebra Doves are my hubby's favourites & he claimed that it is very popular among bird breeders as they fetch alot of money. We have taken some photographs of zebra doves which had been spotted by us at Pasir Ris Park.
