I think the manual also said to have a 10cm gap between the back of the console and the wall.. Oh yes, and the red glass backsplash for the bar counter? darkfear said he'd pay for it.
-
I LOVE MY HOUSE!!! Like something straight from an Ikea catalogue: Can't wait for the solid surface and glass backsplash to be up.

no wonder everybody on the forum calls you sammy jie! you are not to be trifled with! don't play play! To me, the difference between an ID and a contractor is just a piece of paper certification (got diploma or not). What's really important is what's inside the renovator's head - his ideas, his creativity and the ability to put himself in the shoes of the user to maximize the utility of the renovations. Take for example the pull-out ikea-style rack that he gave us FOC.. It came as a total surprise to us because it wasn't in the agreed quotation, but he just decided to go ahead and do it for us because he thought that it would make a perfect place to keep condiments (next to our breakfast space) We've actually spoken to some quite reputable IDs before we came across Jason in the forum, and honestly, even as they were showing us all the certificates that they have (even their tilers and painters all got certs ), we were not impressed much by their cookie-cutter ideas. But the moment we spoke to Jason (he agreed to come down to our HDB final inspection), we knew we had to engage him. That's how good he is! You need it see it for yourself! And don't worry about the design part. This guy is bursting with great ideas.

darkfear, you better watch out later. you can say bye bye to your pretty little dumbo ears now.

We've never seen it!! Provided FOC by Jason hehe. Shall check it out tonight! Hello Kelvin you can check out the whole range at http://www.swingslide.com.sg/aboutus.html As for the pricing I will need to check back with my contractor Jason, but 2 doors less than $400 i think!

Heh I see that we have more in common than our names and that is our penchant for many-plyed, flowery toilet paper (of all things)! And thanks we're super excited too! Have to curb my urges to run down to the house everyday to check out the progress since there're no lights installed haha. Good luck on your reno and the HDB permit!! Shall be stalking your t-blog faithfully. Mr. Busy, pls take time to rest too. Your cough still not well! No more blue m&ms for u haha
-
Haha this reminds me of last Saturday when we went to Sim Siang Choon and bought a pack of m&ms and gave Jaskel all the blue ones

Hi hush girl, my heart goes out to you as this is a situation which no one should have to go through.. Whilst it’s saddening to hear your frustrations, it’s good that you stepped out to offer your side of the story. I hope you’re getting good help to sort out the locks and everything else, and that you have gotten some money back too. But whatever it is, as darkfear above said, try to put this behind you and enjoy your Hari Raya coming up soon!

oh a lighter note.. everybody deserves toilet paper with flower prints on them!!! world peace!!

Hey Jason, thanks for bringing us around the whole day yesterday! We bought the ikea track lights and left them at the house.. Also bought toilet paper for u guys haha Just another favour to ask: can u pls help us remove the door bell and its trunking outside our house?? Thanks!!
-
Too fast too fast!!!! Slow down I cannot take the speed!
-
Angry??? Thank you also 来不及.. Can't believe you did that.. BEST CONTRACTOR EVER. Wah ok sounds like tomorrow is a busy day. Gotta choose our bedroom doors, buy lock/handle for main door and toilet accessories!
-
wah piang you call me ah lao in forum also..

Wow the house really looks great!! Today is acid washing day - wonder if we can go over tonight to look at the house? So happy Is it marina blue? I'm not sure.. But it looks pretty good! The first coat wasn't very obvious but i'm glad the final product came out great! darkfear does not, and will never, own any gaming peripherals, lest he neglect his beautiful wife. Muahahaha
-
Funniest thing I've seen so far!! Good one lachesis! Shall learn and practise this trick on darkfear! So you got your downlights from Alex as well? Would it be comparable to the pricing at lightings.com? I didn't remember his downlights being extraordinarily cheap, unless it was because he quoted us a higher sum
-
Awwwww!! Really very cute! Baby Dumbo!! Now he has learnt his lesson not to speak ill of me in forums.
-
You should ask employ darkfear to help you complain. He's very good at it! And persistent Yes I think the police report would help.. Cos sometimes banks cannot take your word for it when you say the previous owner has shifted away already.. Black and white is always the best! As for how we got SPF to track down Gellido, Hubby managed to convince the NPP guys who took down our 2nd police report that the new report is lodged "for SPF's action", so the investigating officer lan lan also must do something. Try that!! Jia you!

Wahahaha! Actually I didn't see the post but samgalz's post below gave u away!! Anyway you also noob what! In the shoppaholic's world, sprees are when 1 girl collates orders from (usually overseas) sellers like Victoria's Secret/Forever 21 etc, and everyone saves on shipping costs!! Samgalz, thanks for alerting!! Will twist his ears off later!! Hahahha!!!!
-
Oh! So it's like sprees lah! Those i'm familiar with
-
Erm, pardon the forum newbie, but what's a GB? And i didn't know the skyscraper was so popular until I posted the pic! I thought it was a new design because the last time we visited the shop it wasn't there.. Looks like that's the risk we have to take when everyone buys from the same tiny shop (with the fantastic service)! Hey Jason, just to confirm, everything is black except for the cabinet doors right?? Yay! WC! Finally! And also if we buy the winkplay stickers, you can try to stick it on for us?? Do we need to buy extras
-
Hey no leh, the more I look at it, the more I think it's pretty! But this dramatically changes our theme for the room. Hur hur. Hope it doesn't clash with the rose laminates *cross fingers*

Oh and some updates on our visit to the house on Sun.. Would like to thank Jason and team for this (painting my wrought iron grilles): This (cool black and white pipes), and this (strangely, my favourite thing so far - the aircon box-up) Not many things left to settle, just the bedroom doors, the feature wall design, shopping for toilet accessories, then thereafter, FULL SPEED AHEAD!! I think we're seriously slowing Jason down!!! Let's buck up Hubby!!

WOoohoo settled all our lightings + ceiling fan at A Lighting Enterprise (463 Geylang Rd) today! Absolutely fantastic service from Alex of A Lighting. Truly does not belie his reputation.. As a sidenote, I realise that Hubby and I love salespeople who are not too smooth (=fake) and those that actually tell us not to buy this and that from him (buy from Courts better, so he says). I think we appreciate the honesty, so at least some things that he tells us, we actually feel assured that there's some element of truth to it. Some pics! Dining Room Lights (Hopefully) Matching Bar Counter Lights Downlights (got them in white instead) My Love-At-First-Sight Crystal Lights for the bedroom Hubby's Love-At-First-Sight Crystal Lights for the entertainment room (most beautiful lights he has ever seen haha)
