Does this mean.. everything is done? BTW, Jason, just to check, we got our 2 tvs pending delivery. When should we get them delivered and would u like to be there when the installation is taking place? Cos the 42" got free installation and we're gonna pay for the installation of the smaller tv (we took the package of bracket + installation). Or u're ok to let them whack?

Haha what I'm concerned about is the proportion of the lights versus the bar counter.. Bar counter seems too big when you hang the lights too high, so the look I prefer would be for the lights to occupy almost half of the empty space above the counter.. About the mj room light, no such luck.. The reflection is all messy messy one

Last update of the night: Hands up those who feel that the hanging bar counter lights should be much lower than it is now. Hubby disagrees and HE IS WRONG!

Other updates: Solid surface workmanship is good! Dunno how it works but we were surprised to see that it looks like it's an entire whole piece and not pieces that look stuck together. The plumber came! Toilet accessories are all up! The common bathroom looks much nicer now! And our waterfall tap and matching sink in the master bath = worth every cent. Kitchen island sink's splash factor is super high though, and the water doesn't reach as far out as I would like it to. Think it's the design of the tap. Pretty but not practical. Sadly, it has become the story of our lives.

Hi Phantom! Before we bought the flat, I tried to discourage darkfear from it by drawing a circle around the MRT with the radius being the distance from the MRT to our block. Turns out, we're the 2nd furthest block away from the MRT (Blk 162) in the WHOLE of Simei. I'm trying to psycho him to buy me a car after the reno. RX8 please? Yup.. Jaskel is irreplaceable and I don't wanna be mauled by the other houseowners if he's out of action because of our house

With us almost reaching the last lap of the reno, it's time to anyhow-ly choose an auspicious move-in date! I consulted this website: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-repor...pt-dateboth.htm which has a "Free 30 Days Auspicious Date for One/Two Person(s)". Hurhur. It's really like Geomancy for Dummies. I like! Based on our birth dates alone, Hubby is strong metal and I am strong fire. 17 Oct it is then! Somehow this date had already occurred to me earlier. It's fate.

Our best bet is to remove the crystals lor though it may affect the whole look. really If not, prob will buy some standing lamps or something. very sad.

Didn't know it could look this good Yup agreed. I also feel like fainting sometimes.. Major regret. Have you tried removing the crystals? I have a good mind to replace the whole light.. Just treat it as a lesson learnt lor. Since it's darkfear's favourite room, I'd rather sacrifice the light than the wall feature and nice red paint.

erm yah we still got our main door lock and pull-out dish rack to choose!! Buying the sofa tomorrow!

Went down to Hommage at Tai Thong Crescent today, and boy, do we have impeccable timing!! Seems they have just rented another shophouse near their existing shop and converted it into their showroom! This newly opened showroom (opened just 2 days ago) really helped us get a better feel of what we saw earlier in their catalogues (sat in all the dining chairs) and after 3 hours with the boss Eric, settled our dining set, 10.5feet wardrobe ( ), coffee table and sofa bed!! Very decisive for our standards! (I think Jason knows best how long our decision-making process is haha) Some pics: Entertainment room sofa bed - the hot pink version was the one that initally caught my eye, but we decided that it was too gross and got the safer brown one instead. Dimensions: 200 x 120cm Dining Set (bought 2 extra chairs) - yes yes we know it's very common but we like it haha. Dimensions: 150 x 90 x 75cm The dining set was not displayed in the showroom, but got to see the coffee table version and it was pretty nice! Coffee Table for the living room - Nice and classy Dimensions: 120 x 65 x 37cm Finally, my 10.5feet wardrobe!! Got to choose my own combination of shelves and hanging compartments too! Yay! Dimensions: 317.5(L) x 60 (W) x 205cm(H) Really looking forward to the whole place coming together. Handover in just a little more than 2 weeks!!

yes.. The entertainment room lights not so ideal after all *STARES HARD at darkfear* The shadows it casts are d.amn disco-like (and honestly quite horrible and makes my head spin). Seeing that we have no other lights in the room, what can we do to brighten up the room for MAHJONG?? It's too late to install other ceiling lights right?? Oh dear
