  1. Tks...not exactly by choice though. I would prefer to face the geylang river (directly behind my unit) but tats all the 4 bedders and its $ $ $....
  2. Peek-a-boo.....Stichings...1 main part of the equation tat really won me and my wife over The full sofa set in its semi-glory....will post more pics after the completion of my reno wen I can really take out all the plastic sheets i.e. Last but not the least, the coffee table we managed to haggle for free from FC just a simple tinted glass cladded table with Blum on all its 3 drawers
  3. ok....i'm back to update with pics to share All I can say is i'm generally a more than satisfied customer of FC......yet again (back from 6yrs back) To be frank, i'm pretty worried about the status & condition of my sofa till yesterday as this sofa set really cost me an arm and leg (tats base on my meagre income hor...I noe some of u guys have no qualms abt spending a few big Ks on such stuffz ) . Funny thing is that though my sofa was delivered yesterday, I have yet to see its full glory as its still more or less wrapped in its plastic sheet as my house is still under reno But i have opened up the plastic sheets here and there to get some flavor and till now, i luv wat i saw Delivery was on time....infact, earlier than agreed timing, which was ok as I was on leave yest Ok, pics are definitely betta than words.. Delivery guys Stainless Steel Legs Sofa in turtled position....waiting for SS legs to be mounted Underbelly closeup with mounting joints SS legs mounted
  4. tats good. Well, for my place, the main structure are up, less those glasses / mirrors where they will be pasted over next week. I will post some pics on my reno blog later Sure, I can drop by ur place tmr. I will sms u tmr. Cheers

  6. I guess i owe an update to this thread and here it goes....albeit a minor one. My reno cant be done on time and my initial moving in date have shifted from tmr (09/09) to this Sunday (13/09) . To be on the safe side, I have also pushed back my sofa delivery from tmr to next Monday (14/09). I have checked with FC and according to them, my sofa is sitting in their warehouse. I know they can play bluff but I dont see any reason for them to. I'm just hoping for the best and see how and wats the condition of my sofa come Monday. I will do an update again after the delivery is made
  7. Facing the same crappy issue as well. Was contemplating those hydraulic solution u mentioned but after a round of careful thoughts, deduced the said solution was just not worth for $$. My kitchen area is just too small. Though good enough to mount the said solution but its too 'stretch'. Would prolly dry at my balcony.
  8. Well, i cant exactly say its smooth. My carpentry will only start today Im expected to have delays till next week. The main structure will be up by tis sat with minor works in the following week to come. Everything is pretty much in a mad rush now and both contractors and electrician have to work over the PH and Sat !!! I dont know how will the condo mgmt take this (cos generally no works on PH and weekend) but when the crunch time comes, guess i will have to reason with them (this is a new project with less than 10units currently being occupied anyway). Though my ID is quite responsive but theres alot of undue delay due to lacklustre planning. I did express my dis-satisfaction but also mentioned to him tat time lost are essentially well.....lost, all i can do now is wait, and hope for the best..... And ur number of lights....its like I have like 32nos of downlight + 21nos of T5 and u have 80+ ?!?! ur place must be super bright in time to come
  9. Woow..........considering almost everything is 'given', ur reno budget really high arh ....Guess wat....I will be shifting in this coming Sunday The whole of this week will be doing carpentry.... Duno if the contractor / ID can rush it out bo but see lah......tat was the deadline given to my ID and by right, I shd be shifting in this Thurs but without a shadow of doubt, they cant make it
  10. Nothing much, only painting done....but now the layered false ceiling is more obvious and stands out
  11. View from my balcony
  12. Flase ceiling for my MBR (trunking will be covered by a full height headboard) + 2 other bedrooms
  13. Updates My layered false ceiling, will be having cove + downlights
  14. No worries....i got mine oredi, oso a 608 but its from Alpha Audio at level 1.....was jus tinkin if they are really sellin it as per those RRP pricing which they quoted me cheers
  15. Jus wondering how much u paid for ur 608? the last time I was there like abt 1.5mths back, tis elderly uncle like bo chap bo chap and quoted me those RRP pricing which I was thinking....ya...sure
  16. Hacking + plastering + switches Bedroom - just doing a square-shaped false ceiling, tats y only a simple extension of existing wiring MBR - Doing full headboard and flase ceiling with cove + downlights. Adding additional bedside switches to control these lightings Jus a view from my MBR, nothing much

  21. Base on the 1st posting and if uve yet to committ, best to get a 2nd opinion at another shop
  22. My understanding is tat some of ur spending on these lights will go to the ID who does the 'recommendation'. Its lucky you managed to cancel the order
  23. Wooow...tats a good start Hope it will be a smooth reno journey for u Btw, regarding ur budget , I got this to share.....I did my HDB 3 bedder 6yrs back for abt $25K+ (include electrical works) which includes; 1) full homo tile flooring for Dining and Living (full platform for TV area), Kitchen, bombshelter 2) parquet flooring for 3 rooms, 3) full kitchen cabinet, top and bottom row (reno coy free us teka hood and hob) 4) wardrobe for all 3 rooms 5) false ceiling for living and dining, walkway and MBR. 6) some hacking (hacking area is slightly bigger than the size of a door) 7) full electrical works So, imagine wen i got my reno quote for my new place....its abt $20K w/o any tiling / flooring, no hacking. no wardrobe, no kitchen cabi !!! WTH !!! even my electrical works for my new place is twice the amt I spent 6yrs back....quoted by the same electrician I used 6yrs back, no less But after obtaining several quotes, I come to terms that times have changed .... so did the cost
  24. I'm oso at entry level Not sure wast the price for the Jamo speaker but I've just gotten my Onkyo 608 for $730 at Alpha Audio in Aldephi. If i'm not wrong, 607 should be in the low end of $600. You may wana check them out in Aldephi
