  1. Just a bo liao pic of my balcony.....and the old airport road market which I'm over-looking day in day out
  2. I realised I did not post any pics on my door which separate my living room area and the corridor leading to all my rooms Door is claded with black tinted glass so as to blend in into my dining area glass strips and my living area (the small stip on top + the TV console cover panel). Another angle A slightly close-up pic of my finally-done TV feature wall + console (with no exposed wires, not like the previous pic ..... except for the sub). Frontal view (you can see wires for my sub coming out from the bottom of my TV console ). I do not want the wires to come out from the feature wall as I want the flexibility to reposition my sub .....if I ever intend to There are 2 glass panel covering all my AVR + SCV + MIO + DVD. Its those conventional lift-and-push-backward kind of cover. Those to the extreme left and right are conventional pull-out drawers A bottom-up pic on my dining + entrance area
  3. Hahaha, my bed sheet are from my previous mattress time (during wedding time ). No $$ to buy new one liao. Bo bian lah Actually oso too lazy to change lah + too lazy to take 'showroom' condition pics ...... these are the 'operational' pics
  4. Small update once again.....my new purchase : 3 pcs clock which I bought online via hourstyle.com value for $$ and matches my theme My dining area.... complete with table and chairs last but not the least, my MBR, which is the last last last to complete in my entire reno duration
  5. Actually, my ceiling paint color (grey) plays a big part in achieving the overall look. They sort of like absorb rather than reflect, hence its more contained and cozy ba
  6. Unless ofcse the thickness of the mirror is those 1cm / 0.5inch type, which is the equivalent of a tempered dining table / shower screen. Other than that, better to have wood backing but by having that, it would drastically increased the thickness of your door by ard 2.5inch
  7. Bro, ur reno lookin good ya As for the 'halo' effect, I guess u need a taller plummet to contain the side throw of your T5? Fr the pics, it seems like ur top and bottm lights are 'exposed' but just bcos its either too high / too low, you cant see the T5 tube, am I rite?
  8. Its really a waste. The 'waste' i'm referring to is that you did not take up a very very potential unit (not to mentioned its brand new) at 'developer' price, which will only appreciate in time to come. The reason I said that was that I stayed in McNair (just a short street away fr cityview but shared the same Boon Keng MRT station) for about 5yrs and just sold my place last year. I knew that area pretty well and appreciate and understand its conveniences and more importantly, its market potential. Price is definitely on the higher side but you will definitely reap much more than you sowed in time to come (if you do intend to sell). Lets just say I sold my McNair unit (bought direct from HDB) last year for more than double the amt I paid 6yrs back. And to add on, I did not sell my McNair unit at the best timing as it was in the midst of US mortgage saga (ard Jun 09). We do however see the potential 'savings' we can make in buying a condo unit (condo price was almost rock bottom) then and we eventually bite the bullet and went ahead wen the unit is eligible to be sold. Just to further share, the COV for my McNair unit is only a miserable $4K !! It was not easy for us definitely but wat we lose in terms of potential COV for our McNair unit (easily over $40K in current market), our current condo unit had already makes it up 10 times over (base on the latest caveat lodge on URA website) But nonetheless, the vicinity within Nex is definitely up and coming as well, and in a big way. Enjoy your stay there ya Cheers
  9. Ok, as promised, the full glory of my sofa set (reno not exactly done but its like 95% completed) Headrest for the rest of the seaters can be tilted up like the 1 in the center Oh..... did I mentioned a throw pillow of similiar leather to my sofa set and bearing the brand was well, 'thrown-in' ?? Not part of the deal but definitely a sweetener !! We did try to ask for 2 such pillow to be thrown in FOC prior but was rejected due to the high cost of it. Sales guy did offer other design of diff leather w/o the branding but we rejected it as well. Oh well....everything turns out well I guess, even though its only 1 but definitely unexpected (not forgettin we 've already gotten a coffee table retailing at about $7++ FOC) Some details my sofa set which I failed to post earlier Brand : Kelvin Giormani Model : M0066 Emilia II Leather Specs Orvieto (B) (KG have 6 different grades of leather with (F) being their best...bout 50% additional diff in price as compared to mine ) Raw Material: South America Production: Italy Thickness: 1.3/1.5 mm Embossing: Dollar (wateva tat means )

  19. Yup yup...importantly, u like wat u see, comfortable with the ID and the quotation is within ur budget, ur good to go As for the 'LV' squares, well, lets jus say the pic was taken up close, the square looks much bigger in pic vis-a-vis the real thing, hence the resemblance. But the fact is you will not get the LV feel when ur standing there looking at it cos the squares are jus too small, which is wat ive wanted
  20. Tks .... but after all the lights have been fixed, both my wife and I kinda tink we over-killed the entire area.....with too much lights tat is.... Its still ok cos I can choose not to on the rest of the cove / downlights..... its typical sporean syndrome for me As for the delay, its not cos its more complicated or wat....its definitely due to the less than satisfactory time management / planning from the ID ....but as mentioned, wateva lah....end of the day, jus deliver as promised can liao. Just looking at the designs, I tink now you can somewat appreciate why i choose this ID over william even at the last minute. But having said this, I am by no means discrediting william. Both my wife and I felt very comfortable with him and he really gave us a very very good offer, even lower than my current ID with a few additional items covered !! Its designs we are after and we are comfortable with the price difference, thus we went the other way. I'm sure his project management is much more superior than my ID as mentioned in ur blog I guess this is another way of saying you cant have the best of both world
