  2. hi hi, Sorry ah, never update my post. basically all is done up by him, i know i promised to post pictures but i ran into some situation and require to channel my other funds elsewhere and so did not buy furniture to put inside. As for his work, it's done really well. i can take pics but as i said, the house would look quite empty so i think i'd wait til the storm's over then furnish it up. and no, i'm not an ID.. Web designer
  3. i think just get gain city to do it. my boss installed cheap aircon in my office and ended up calling someone to repair once every 3 months. it's a good thing none of our computers are under the aircon. He later got gain city to put up new aircons and all the problems are over.
  4. That price is lesser than what HDB charged me for haulage. I had to pay above $100 to TC and another $800 to their appointed contractor. Just sharing my side, maybe it'd help you decide about it.
  5. oh crap, my ceiling is already up too.. but at least i'm not doing feature wall yet. nevermind ba, i'll just ask my contractor to touchup a bit and paint up. see how it goes.
  6. By right they'd wanna chase you to sign first so they can secure your business. But in this case, maybe you should request to sign and check properly. Dun sign blindly, some things maybe taken out just so that you can pay some more hidden cost later.
  7. Dun worry, you're not the only one. I kenna $177 to be paid to Town Council, another $800 to some HDB appointed guy named Ah Soon. **** ex.. In the end must budget so much just to bring tiles up..
  8. No, cannot hack that.. I too wanted to do that but it'd go into the bomb shelter.. pity.. Wish government would give us better areas..
  9. From what my contractor says, Gain City seems to have the best services regarding air con
  10. Hey peeps! Through personal contact, I've recently signed up with a good ID. Met with a few IDs before him, most only concerned with pricing and me signing contract first. So was not comfortable with them. This guy listened to what I said I wanted, including cutting down on budget and suggested something that's below the budget (for once). And he suggested what he would do if in my shoes. By 2nd meeting, wowed me with his artwork, perspective sketch but quite good. And not only is it affordable for me, he's open to giving good alternatives and suggestions. Just wanted to share this cos I'm really really really really really really very happy with all that went through so far. I believe he won't disappoint you. PM me for his contact. I will update on the on site jobs in accordance to what we will be planning. (still rough) But as I go along, I'd just put down my personal feeling throughout this experience of dream-home building and hopefully put up some pics as well. Hope this will go smoothly all the way. *cross fingers* and pray pray pray.
