Not a bad idea ! I can't be polishing the sink everyday to remove the rust... a clear lacquer might actually does the job... Any recommendation on what lacquer to use ?

I engaged Alex after reading so much good comment abt Alex and managed to get a quotation over the phone. After comparing Alex's qoutation and other grill contractors, I decided to booked an appointment with Alex to come onsite for measurement since Alex's quote is about the same as others and with all the good comments in this forum. On the day when he and his partner came for measurement, he quoted a much higher price (almost 40% more). When I asked him, he just tell me the original quote over the phone is not accurate. But the fact is the measurement that i have given over the phone is accurate and there is no reason for him to quote me a much higher price on site. I guess probably because I'm only installing grill for my service yard and thus the steep marked up in price. But if he could have give me a accurate qoute over the phone, we will not have to waste each other time. In the end I did not proceed with him and engaged another contractor (the one that is always at Expo reno fair).

Thanks for all the info and advice... I brought the sink (its not the shiny type and yes, with grain...) for my new house and have not even move in ! Only use it occassionally (eg once a week) to wash hands, cleaning cloth etc. But after every use when the water dried up on the sink, some rust will form... Now thinking of changing the sink... but how to tell if the next stainless steel sink that i'm going to purchase will be ok ???? All sales staff will tell you stainless steel but how to know the grade ?
-
I must admit that I did not check, but was thinking who in a right state of mind will produce a sink with material that will rust ???? Seems like my assumption was wrong...
-
I recently brought a stainless steel kitchen sink from a shop in IMM and noticed that rust start to appear on the sink surface ??? I actually stainless steel will not rust ???? Any advise or comment ?

Hi, Glad that you are in this forum as well, not sure if you are Fed, Gar or...??? So far I'm happy with my purchase and is eagerly waiting for the delivery in Sep. Btw, I did not indicate the firmness of my sofa during purchase, can i assume it will be normal firmness ?
-
Any advise on painting over wood surface (eg. plywood) etc ? Can I just use the normal paint used for walls or need special paint ? Need any surface preparation or I can just paint over it ? Thanks

I went to checkout the place with my wife and got a electronic recliner leather sofa there on Monday. The staffs seems knowledgable on leather sofa which give me some confidence in their product as compared to sale staff else where who can only tell you full or half leather. One concern is their full leather sofa on display feel more like half leather to me. Nevertheless we have it written in black and white. Now waiting for the delivery in mid September. Keeping my finger crossed on a timely delivery and quality of the sofa. Will keep you guys posted.

Beside nice looking shower head, is there any other reason to get the 707 princeton ? I know 707 is good but guess other cheaper model of 707 should suffice unless there is other feature that i do not know ?

Ya, spot on... it something about divorce or back problem etc. So is this something true with FS or just hearsay... Btw, I create a new topic for this but not sure why it got merged with this "Placement of Bed" topic ????
-
I previously heard from some FSM that the bed surface (the piece of wood where the mattress is placed) must be one whole piece for FS reason. However most if not all King size bed that I came across are made up of two pieces (Was told due to transportation limitation (eg HDB lift etc). Any comment on this ?

Renov Whole House
ciligaz replied to endlssorrow's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
When possible, try to combine more items to let one person to do it so that person can be your main contractor and apply for your reno permit etc. There will always be prob... coordination, delays by one person affecting the other person work... When there is damage, Contractor A will blame Contractor B, Contractor B blame Contrator C, Contractor C blame Contractor A etc... You will need to spend more time going on site to monitor progress of each contractor as well... -
The problem is Choo Chiang is always very crowded (at least the AMK branch) and there is practically no queuing system etc. You can wait there and others will just come and shouted stuffs that they want and they will be served next... Anyone know of any Choo Chiang branch that is less crowded and more organise ?
