I actually work quite close to where you stay...so mebbi one day can meet you my fella liverpudian.

ynwa88.. dont worry about hodgson cos at the rate he is going... 1 more game max to go before he packs his bags and beg fulham to take him back. But he made lucas look good in this season lar.hahahha..... anyway... i have the same concept when it comes to tv console. i also made a false wall so that i can hide the wires behind it. I have a platform too however my platform is where i house all my avr and equipment. So everything is hidden. One more similar thing between you and me... im also thinking of getting rx6/8 as my front two.

is there a one stop place to get all these equipment?

ynwa88... u a liverpool supporter? =) anyway, i realised you dont have a tv console so where do you put your avr and blueray player? Can u take a picture of your tv area? Looks really neat.

haha...froggy... well... she has nothing to begin with cos its a new place. That may possibly explain the oreo cheese cake that was rock hard when she baked one for my bday last year. I will need perhaps recommendation of mixer (if one is needed) and some tools that will be essential (esp to help the next cake she makes be softer). =P

hi ladies (and any gents out there), I will be celebrating my fiancee's bday real soon and our renovation to our new place is nearing. Hence im hoping to get her a "starter kit" for baking as a surprise because i know she has always wanted to try baking. Can any guru's guide me to what to buy (equipment) wise for someone who is just learning how to bake? Equipment to get her started will be ideal and any help is greatly appreciated! I have already installed a built in oven for her as a surprise (becos she hasnt been up to the new place for a couple of weeks) so an equipment list to get started baking will be really helpful to me. Cheers CY

Hi fans of baking/roasting I tried to search for topics on turbo built in oven in a bid to find out how good/bad the product is but only managed to come across some comments (not alot). Hence im starting this thread with the hope past and present users of this brand can provide some advice for newbies like me. Basically, im not going to do baking week in and out. Hence not going to utilise it heavily. But will like to have the option to bake a cake, roast a chicken etc as and when we feel like doing so. Saying so, turbo seems to pack a competitive price compared to the rest. Will anyone care to comment on how they find turbo products. Cheers CY

Which Laminate Flooring Brand Should I Use?
gfac replied to Folks's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Hi guys, I have also put down a deposit for allure flooring during the last expo. Although im having second thots now as a google search has revealed some of the problems (chemical smell, flooring is assembled by a clicking mechanism and not glued hence im wondering how secure can it be...). But my contract with evorich allows me to switch to tarkett laminate flooring if i decide to. Anyways, i am hoping that someone in this forum has had their allure resillient flooring installed and perhaps provide a field report of the product. Also, if anyone keen to share their experience with evorich and tarkett laminate flooring, i will greatly appreciate it too. Cheers CY -

Cost Of Changai Wood If Buidling A Platform At Balcony
gfac replied to gfac's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
wah... thats all right. My balcony area is 55 sq foot. And the price for plywood (1100) is quoted by an ID. What will you guys do in this instance? Ask for a reduction or forsake the ID altogether. -
HI there, I was quoted 1100 for the construction of a platform on my balcony. Material used is plywood (i assume this is laminated wood???). Have i been charged too much and how much does changai wood cost in comparison to the plywood? Thanks in advance for all your advises Cheers gfac

Hi guys, I have been quoted 800 plus for smooth rendering by one of the IDs i approached in the quotation. My questions are 1) what is smooth rendering and whats the process? 2) Is $800 alot to pay for this? i tried googling the term smooth rendering but couldnt find much on it. Any help will be truly appreciated. Cheers gfac

Thanks mate! Beside b&w, are there any other speakers I should listen to?
-
Hi guys, Went to adelphi (kec) today and saw a few 5.1 systems. However if i just want a decent sound system for music and sometimes movie... can i stick to a 2.1 system? If so... what speakers and amps will you guys recommend? I have a budget of 1.5k to 2.5k. Sorry for being a noob... but adelphi's variety from speakers to amps and receivers just make decision a bit harder. I was reading about b&w speakers a while back but i didnt find it in kec. Infact KEC seems not be selling any 2.1 system. Any help will be appreciated. Cheers CY

Mate, A fella liverpool fan here too (dont know how long i will keep supporting liao...hiaz). Congrats on your house and since we are on the topic of managers. My mate in AIS (australia insitute of sports) just told me liverpool just hired an aussie sports doctor and sports scientist (both worked under Guus during his tenure with the OZ national team). So dont be surprised if Guus (or the Pim verdeek guy...hahah...that will be a disaster) is coming. But dont quote me too. Also... how much did you spend to get your house looking so top notch?? I just bought a resale... so i guess the process is due soon for me =) CY
