  1. Renotalk are Fakes?? Lol, NO, I cannot agree with that In the 5 months and more that I am here, I am of the opinion that the Majority of posers are genuine seekers of information, or providers of information which they believe are objectively true. Of course there are a group of people here, who are peddling their wares, services, and information to influence potential buyers, but they can be easily revealed by Questions to the validity of ther claims. The Fakes are the ones who are not able to support their information with empirical evidences, or citations from reliable sources, and they are a minority group here who comes in and out as single-post registrant most of the time. That does not make "Renotalk are Fakes" as you claimed.
  2. Very Nice! The groove at the sides makes them look like real wooden planks. No skirtings?
  3. Lol, that a$$hole is the boss. Always been this way.
  4. You sounds like you have a personal issue here, and maybe you do now that I noticed you have more than 2000 posts in this forum Ok, spit it out, and I will try to address your issue or issues. Concerning the above that you brought out, there is a thread down the page that mentioned "cut marble of average quality" for $60/sq m, which is <$6psf, while there are laminates of above $7 psf. That is the basis of my earlier post which seems to have offended you. Neither did I make any claim to knowing the "lowest" price for marble.
  5. No idea of the prices for lowest grade for marble or laminate, but you may wish to scroll through the pages of the forum. Lots of prices mentioned
  6. Both have different grades So if you compare a high grade laminate with a low grade marble; marble is cheaper, but compare with high grade marble, of course laminate is cheaper.
  7. Nothing amazing. They have their pros and cons, so if you don't like it than get yourself a piece of marble
  8. From what I gathered on google search of this product, I would be very very wary about using it for the home. There is a big question mark about the health safety and also fire safety. It is a misnormer to call it laminate floor, as the core is actually made from recycle vinyl waste from China, where else real laminate floors are more than 90% wood, and eco-friendly. Better not to risk your family lives and health on such product. In the pursuit of profits, many companies tend to loose their sense of social responsibility and ethic. Anyway, it may be a good idea to check with BCA (Bldg & Const. Authority) on the safety of this product first.
  9. Agree with you; if you have the budget wallpaper can bring out the 'feel' or ambience to the room, which is limited by the solid colors of paints.
  10. Thank you for the info on this new product. Anywhere to get more info on Allure? website?
  11. Parquet is just so passe but my grandpa may go for it though!
  12. 6 years ago, there was no Tarkett laminate flooring in S'pore. I'm sure you are a nice lady Jocelyn
  13. Stop trolling lah, china stuff are just crappy. supreme?
  14. While flybynights and scamsters are thankfully not too common here, there is always the occassional rotten apple. So better to be safe than sorry, ask to see their stocked products. And if they are unwilling to, with excuses such as they being dealer, and not importer, than be very wary with your deposits!
  15. Sounds like a bad job that needs to be completely rectified. Who in his right mind wants a bathroom to be higher than the bedroom floor! So, either re-do, or raise up your bedroom floor. My symphathy.
  16. Call up the company Wood Culture who is listed on Berry's website as their dealer in Singapore, and they said they are the sole importer in Singapore, and have no dealing with this Kelvin Ong and his company. So where is his Berry laminate flooring from? Are there 2 different Berry Floor from Belgium?
  17. Hi, on the first point; since it's a build-in wardrobe and you are never going to see to bottom of it unless you tear it down one day, you probably don't need it below. But if you do, you have to take care that the skirting does not obstruct your wardrobe. On the second matter, not to worry, your flooring contractor will provide the hi-lo adapter trim at the doorway, so the height difference will not be obvious.
  18. Seen it too, but considering that it is only 7mm thick, AC3, and also very artificial looking, I think it is a low-end product. Got to compare apple with apple
  19. Hi, seen the flooring done within a day at my friend's place recently and am thinking of doing it by myself. Have anyone here tried it before? It seems the only tools needed are a jigsaw, mallet, and a piece of metal bar bended at both ends.
  20. Hi, I am not familiar with this drawer system, but the brand Hettich is synonymous with good quality in the area of furniture fittings and accessories. I used to be in that business way back I guess it doesn't comes cheap, but on the other hand, they will last you for many years to come.
  21. Yes I have, and it is quite common here. My family suffered through a number of years from a bunch of noisy people above our flat and when I tried talking to them about the problem, they became outright nasty.
