  1. insomnia is going to kill me it's AC5 which stands for 'abrasion class' 5; a surface scratch-resistant standard of European laminate producers, which all too often have been abused by local importers of cheap laminate flooring produce in China. Tell me ... is that AC5 product from Supreme?
  2. lol.. 'invisible door handle' reminds of the Emperor's new clothes. hahaha Yes! I can sell you one .. but afterwards don't ask where ok .. as I won't be able to see it!
  3. Wa! you getting more and more aggressive in your attacks hor.. fools rush in where angels fear to tread, and pray you have deep pockets hehehe.
  4. Waa... you better be careful don't anyhow talk/gossip.. only high-end floors got nano silver ok. Later high-end people come and get you like ET (EvofloorTermiterich) hehehe You know the song.. you can't dance, you can't sing, but you talk like Ravi..lah. hahahaha
  5. kstoh, thanks for the info. I cm is like the thickness of marble and for that length ...handling and transportation can be challenging, so I expect cost for this flooring is on the very high side.
  6. Manufacturer's warranty does not cover for importer/distributor ability to stay in business leh So cannot sarppork you on this one.
  7. My thoughts .. it's a new brand introduced only this year, made in Germany, but nothing special, and also limited selections. They are trying to position the brand with more established brands like Krono-O and Kronotex, but they are just not there
  8. I am thinking, handling tiles of this length must be tricky kstoh. How did they do it without breaking them? Were they mounted onto a board or some other supporting material?
  9. Yes they look nice, the length of the tiles is quite unusual as well. kstoh is the length 90cm or 120cm?
  10. Actually, getting the names of rogue ID companies and people isn't much help. The cheating culture is already prevalent in the industry, encourage by the visible successes of such rogues who go around flaunting their ferraris and maseratis through ill-gotten means. Infamous firms are abandon by their owners, who use proxies to set-up new firms, and ID Paul Tan will be Peter Lim , ID Jenny becomes Mary the next time you meet
  11. Looks like serious Chop Chop to me plywood with vinyl back are low cost material, that's a straight giveaway.
  12. Must have got them cheap, as full-extension slides are much more expensive than the standard roller runner and are only needed where drawer needs to be fully-extended (most furniture drawer opens out 3/4 of the way). So if they are not functioning well even for the light drawers, than there is definitely a quality issue. In case you are thinking to get them to change the slides to the standard roller-runner, it may not be possible as the fixing distance/allowance are different.
  13. Looks like a full-extension ball-bearing slide for light-weight drawer to me, either too light for the drawer or just poor quality slide.
  14. Take note: are the slides hidden at the bottom of the drawer or visible at the side of the drawersthe depth/length of the drawer box vs the length of the slidesroller or ball-bearing slides
  15. luiz, what kind of runner or slides, any pics?
  16. Unlikely that the hinge will break down as even the MiC hinges are good for 30,000 opening cycles The plating are not that good though, and rusting can happen early due to our tropical humidity. Replacements will need to follow the current hinges cup-size and drilling-holes, and most of the MiC hinges should be replaceable with a DTC or the Italian-made FGV from our local hardware shops.
  17. For your tv console and bed-frame, the laminate can be bend by postforming. That will be more costly and also may affect the work schedule, as the postform parts need to be outsource to a specialist postforming company. The hinges shown are standard with 3-way adjustment, and the brands are OEM, likely made in China. Your issue of the hinge is more likely from the alignments, as can be seen from the pix exposed drilled hole, the mounting-plate was re-fixed.
  18. Doesn't sound practical why are you thinking of carpet tiles over laminate?
  19. Maybe you can try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56cqwMnKRz0 Hettich is another leading brand for furniture fittings but 'Jasmine hinge' is unheard of, very likely mic. Chinese brand such as DTC is pretty ok though. Your Id/contractor really has no right to change proposed materials to lower-cost substitutes without consulting you, and any change should be of equivalent quality; Blum vs Jasmine is at the extreme of each pole. Blum equivalent are Hettich, Grass, Salice, which are available from locally. My 16 years-old kitchen are using Grass hinges and slides, and build-in wardrobe using Hettich. All working well to-date, and amazingly no rust at all. That's German quality worth paying for.
  20. Mr evofloor termiterich post and beedeos all disappeared! His termites must have followed him to renotalk, no wonder he was so hysterical
  21. Holy bird! your recreation room looks like a dinning room for pest now. But seriously, it's unlikely that the fault originated from evorich or tarkett storage, otherwise there would have been tons of complaints by now. There is a good possibility that the floor below the laminates is damp though, so you may want to investigate that.
  22. Bcos of difference in leveling? Give the contractor some kopi rui should settle the matter.
  23. Simple solution is to ask the former distributor to supply you with flooring from new stock of the new distributor If I remember correctly, the date of production is printed on the back of the board.
  24. She is right, it's vinyl aka pvc. Sellers of such products sometimes market it under obscure label to cloak the controversial vinyl content. It doesn't help either that the manufacturers of such products are evasive on the safety of their products, and none of them dares to commit fully in black & white on their product's website of the health safety. That is glaringly different from the laminate floors manufacturers using natural wood content, who are openly stating the safeties of theirs which cover health, environment, and ecology.
