  1. My current setup: LG 42" Plasma HDTV PJ350 Pioneer DVD recorder Small rectangular living room (w/ aircon) My requirement: $600 budget. My system will mainly be for watching dvd and sometimes listening to mp3. Basically I don't blast while watching dvd, and will turn on the aircon. I am looking at 2.0, 3.1 or 5.1 (preferrably) system. Although I cannot discern very high quality products, but I understand midrange, subwoofer, tweeter, crossover, etc. Hence I am able to tell a difference between a very low-end (<$300) HTiB and a slightly better HTiB (>$500). As I am getting married and buying a resale flat and renovating it, I dont think I can afford anything more than $600. And one constraint I have is to put all the speaker in front with the tv as my wife don't like to see speakers all over the place. So far I went HN and they recommended a new model Sony 5.1 system (DAV-DZ610) at $549. I think this model is not bad because of the brand as well as its Digital Cinema Auto Calibration feature. The guy said that if I'm putting all speakers in front, the auto calibration will help to create some surround sound/effect (but I know not to expect too much out of it). As this Sony model is very new, I cannot find enough reviews on it. As such can you all kindly help me see if this model is value for money? Below is a link I found at Sony webby: http://www.sony.co.in/product/dav-dz610 Or do you know of any other products that is more worth buying? Will computer fair have good deals on 5.1 systems? Or should I go for a better quality 3.1 system? Thank you in advance.
