Hello everybody!!!!!! In particular jaskel, fencer, jeffcraze and all the other forum khakis I spoke to! I finally received my keys to my dear home yesterday and hence.... This is my t-blog!!! Will try to keep things up to date and simple here! A little background to my house: It is a 104sqm, 21 year old 4A HDB at Simei... It wasn't our first choice, but like all things that are our own... We are growing to love it! It has a spacious kitchen, 2 bathrooms (one attached in the MBR), and 3 bedrooms! There's a living and dining area available as well !! The tiles are in relatively good condition, and the owner actually has relatively new air conditioner units in each bedroom.. Floor Plan We will upload photos later to give a clearer idea how it is like currently! Now to the contractors/IDs... We spoke to many until my wife gave up, then we spoke to some more, then I gave up, then I came into this forum, and my life just brightened up! Learned so much from other's happiness, and sometimes, bad luck, and of course got to know a few people! Currently, I am talking to a consultant, and man, am I glad I did not sign up with any previous contractors. The previous ones were either pushy, concerned only about their business, inexperienced, expensive or had bad reviews among other things. So through careful sieving through thousands of threads, finally met up with our messiah! Shall not name him yet, as we haven't confirmed the contract, but I think it's a matter of time Well rambled long enough so just want to end of with a big hi to all! And welcome to our world

This is really good to hear! I absolutely love the fact that jaskel is very detailed and takes a no-nonsense approach to imperfections. it's always good to have an ease of mind given bz schedules.. I think this is a critical factor that many contractors are missing!! they take too many jobs and rush from one to another without carefully analysing their finished works. Can't wait to meet up with him and discuss the reno stuff! NEXT SATURDAY! woohoo!!!! It's good to hear everything is up and running jeffcraze! I was slightly worried about the aircon trunkings also.. but I think with some work on them we can make them look nice! I was thinking to just do some paint work or something.. maybe im just imagining too much lol not too worry i'm sure you will get a chance to go! anyway don't need to go too long cos really not many stuff to do.. i would recommend you to book one of the mayang sari huts. it's a great getaway!

Hi my experience so far with them: Spoke to Chermaine from PL, found her to be sincere, but sorely lacking in experience. Doubt she has any designer inclinations in her, and most likely her designs would be something out of a template. Overall, if you were to go with PL, I would recommend speaking to Darren, because he seems frank, direct and to the point. Quotation-wise, they have pretty reasonable prices (Don't know on the quality of materials used though) and they pretty much have everything a home-owner would want. We are also very impressed with their credentials, and also their contracts and breakdown of every single thing to make sure everything is covered (safety for both themselves and the consumer). Overall, good firm, but sign with the more experienced staff if possible.
