A decal will always do. be it small of big. Advantages of decal is it's visible on both side. Don't get stickers as most of the stickers are opaque at the back (so you see nothing from kitchen). I suppose you are looking for customize wall mural. Basically decal is those plain color shaped design. If you wish to cover your wall with a big family photo, you should look at wall mural. Try Creative Wall Decal, but i guess you will need a high resolution photo (depending on your wall size).

Just to share, Creative Wall Decal carries self adhesive wall paper from Korea. In another words, no glue required to apply on the wallpaper or wall, just peel and paste, as simple as that. It was designed for DIY purposes. The glue will last long and it won't damage the original wall paint upon removal (unlike conventional wallpaper glue, as what they claimed). Recently I bought wall mural from them. It was a new things to me but I like it, you can check the outcome in their website gallery. Agreed, conventional wallpaper may get outdated soon. That's why we see new products in the market, i.e: wall mural and self adhesive wallpaper. Wall Mural: It's a picture for your entire wall. Looks great and there are lot of different themes for u to choose form. Really nice. Goodrich carries a few only, but too expensive and they can't customize to size. There are other players in the online market, i found Creative Wall Decal has the best collection and price, which is purchased according to your wall size. Self adhesive wall paper: Conventional wall paper required glue and to replace it, you will need to lay over or complete removal. In Korea, they are using self adhesive wall paper, which is DIY friendly and you may remove it without damaging your original paint (or a little only). Thus, you can change/replace it anytime your want.

I bought mine from a website, they're so much cheaper and I actually installed it myself. They came with adhesive back (which can directly stick to the wall without applying glue-which will leave some stain after removing), thus it's not that hrs to install. I would suggest you to try the cabinet sheet (self adhesive). It's available in Creative Wall Decal. Quality is good and come with different length & nice designs. The cost for this is cheap, no harm trying out.
