Help On Divorce Proceedings. Need Updated Info Please
Miss_YB replied to Junkay's topic in Wedding & Travel
You can object to that on grounds that she cheated on you & doesn't contribute into the conjugal assets. -
Hi there. Hope my advice is not too late. From an Architect's point of view, replacement is not a good decision although you have the budget for it. Cracks in marbles are inevitable depending on quality they used. I suggest you just replace or patch up the cracks. Marble installers should know what to do. After replacing, they will need to polish it. It will cause you some inconvenience if you are staying in the house already. Marble maintenance is high compared to homogenous tiles. I maintained my marble floor (previous house) for 10yrs and my buyer is very happy. Since you already paid for it, just let it be. Few tips to care for it : I always use "Bluebell" or any marble cleaner solution. Only then you can maintain its shine & colour. Never use water only when mopping it. Avoid dripping water into it. If it does, wipe it soon enough coz marble are porous.

Stainless Steel Shower Racks And Dish Racks
Miss_YB replied to tazzie58's topic in Home Maintenance & Repairs
When I went to a shop to buy my fixtures & accessories, I was told there are 2 types of these : 1-stainless steel, with life-time warranty, 2-chrome finish which looks like stainless steel when new but show rust in time. The price difference is almost double bec of quality. Your ID should know that he didn't give you the genuine stuff coz he replaced it. Better change to a genuine stuff. -

Im pretty sure you live in old estate! I live in a 10yr+ estate so I say that. Clothes hanger now improve (newer estate have better ones)..... not unsightly, simple & safe. Some more, most residents use dryer already. High-tech huh!! One incident in paper doesn't mean all. Since you are not living in one, you are giving unbiased comments for new home seekers. My opinion on old estates are based on my friends, colleagues & family experiences. Everything improves in time but old habits dont die Peace be with you

Hi David, Also think you're in a wrong site too but will give you an advice in my profession's point of view. Yes, you need an Architect for a sound advice aesthetically & functionally to bring you from Written Permission to TOP & eventually CSC. Though you also need a professional engineer to ensure that your bldg structure can withstand the increase in load from 2 to 2.5sty, they cannot advice you on designs. Since you are spending a lot, why not ensure a functional layout, practical materials which only a good Architect can give you. Good luck.

Congrats on your new home! This is a good deal. Nice price, nice layout. I like the study which can be converted to a proper room with good ventilation. Dont worry about the place. Anywhere in Singapore is safe & accessible. Wish & hubby all the best. Im downgrading & looking out for a 4rm flat in Sembawang. You're right, COV around here is stiff. But my 2 elder kids are studying in Woodlands & the youngest in Semb. When you have schooling kids its harder to choose flats. Wish me luck too.

In my profession's point of view, this thing is not advisable to install at home due to maintenance & cleaning issue. Unless you running a catering business at home which gives you big volume of waste everytime. This is most useful & used in industrial kitchens. Its best to collect waste in used plastic bags, tie & throw straight to rubbish bin.

I like your cooker. Simple & easy to clean

Divorce But To Buy Over The Flat
Miss_YB replied to bepgof's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
Im a divorced mother of 3 and now the sole owner of the flat having joint custody with my ex & myself the care & control of the children. I understand the pain your SIL going through now. Cry by all means & when its drained, STAND-UP & FIGHT for child & her. If she dont put in the Order of Court now, it would never be anymore. Consult a divorced lawyer (not any other lawyer!) for more of more of women's rights. Men at this point will normally give-in just to get rid of wife in their life fast. With effect 1 Oct 2007 an amendment to CPF act took effect allowing immediate transfer of CPF monies to ex-spouse's CPF acct so long as the latter is a citizen or Singapore PR. Another change involving divorced couples is allowing for the immediate transfer of a property to the former spouse. Bef. 1 Oct 2007, when a member uses his CPF to buy property and a court orders the ownership to be transferred to the ex-spouse, the member must return, in CASH, to the CPF acct whatever amount is due to it. Currently, its no longer necessary. Instead, a charge will be placed on the amount of money used for the property, such that if the ex-spouse sells the house later, that money will be refunded to the member's acct. Your sis-in-law options : 1. Let her philandering spouse WILL the house to her name; 2. Do a transfer as in above, live in the place till she can afford a new flat or live there forever (if the bad memories of the place dont bother her). I would never suggest buying over the house from him. He should compensate her for the immaterial contributions she did for the family such as giving him a child, staying devouted & loving him for XXX years, staying commited in the marriage till this happen. Dont let men treat us like rags that when old & worn-out, they must throw & change. Wish you SIL all the best. Its been 3yrs & Im at peace now, counting my blessings. Look ahead and pray. Prayers make wonders. If I can do it, she also CAN -
Any licensed contractor can do tiling for you. Its only a matter of pricing differences They can charge you as : labor & materials or labor only. Chose one you are comfortable discussing with & check company license.

This is one great idea! When buying flats, view the outside not only the inside. Windows with overhang are WEST facing. When viewing flats, bring compass. No compass? an iPhone will be very useful. Observe surroundings too as you wont be confined in your flat all the time. One way to treat walls are to put drywalls with insulation over the existing blockwall. It may be a costly (but not a bomb!) West facing units are not domed though treatment can be pricey. In every problem there is a solution.

Exhaust Hood is very useful & sucking smoke & steam directly out from our pot. Its not meant to absorb oil splash. Without it, oil will spread to your kitchen cabinets & other parts. Its doesn't do a tough job but a preventive job in the kitchen. For maintenance, clean countertop with soap & water, mop kitchen floors every night, wipe kitchen cabinets & other surfaces at least once a month. And most importantly, wash the filters of your hood regularly!!!! My 10yr old kitchen is still in good working condition!

Personally, assessing price & COV is personal choice. So long as your happy with your purchase, that's great. In Singapore at this millennium, there's no more ulu places. The gahmen make sure that every estate has basic amenities. I prefer living in new estates. My neighbors are also young couples with young children. In mature estates, your neighbors are olds and as they say, old habits dont die! The way they hang clothes, keep plants & barang-barangs, shoes outside the doorstep, strong cooking smell, shoutings, etc.
