  9. noobhouse.... what i am saying is that they are no real interior designers... probably just design consultant cum coordinator.... they just advise you based on things they have seen and did so far ... they will probably help you alot on what to construct and what not to .... but the design sense is not there ....
  10. Hi h4happy.... my friend used a msia carpenter ..... it's different .... i saw from one of the shelving that it is actually 5 layers .... they call it 5 ply .. But just take note lo.... some singapore carpenter using those no layer one ..... machiam like all the waste wood compress into one ... Just what i heard and see la ... peace
  11. Hi froggy ......... if i were u, i would go for a customsied one since you mentioned that pricing is about the same ....... But i will got one step further to build a feature wall as well to hide the cables (extra $$). and also, customsied one allows you to really perfect it using the right diemensions / colours / materials / texture to complement your living room conditions. consider a simple, clean, suspended tv console with a sleek wall feature .......
  12. wow ........ went to your ID's blog ........ very impressive indeed ...... but for your home reno to be delayed 2 months is a little mad... probably he can work on his coordination and planning ..

  15. my opinion on hwa li ............ i think they are very experienced contractors.... but they don't really design well
  16. Talking about cabinets ah.... i heard that it's better to use malaysia wood ... better quality.. singapore carpenter use compressed wood heard only la ... true or not ... i not sure ......
  17. Hello people.... Firstly, my nickname can be quite deceiving as i did not do any renovations before. Just applied for punggol BTO and heard from my friend whom is getting his flat at punggol spring that he came across an ID firm (XX image) that gave them layout plan, 3d drawings and quotation with no obligations.... But heard from other people that they don't get any 3d drawings until they engaged that particular ID. anybody has got an idea what's the standard practice ? Regards <save $ save $, 4 years later got money to reno my dream home>
