  2. Those 1st time owners of Bishan Loft EC are making huge profit if they are selling theirs. The asking price is ~$800+psf now.
  3. HDB told me that there is no restriction of MOP after the 1st 5 years. Meaning if I am the 2nd owner of an EC purchased at the 6th year, I do not need to stay till the 10th year (from TOP) before I can sell. He said, once after 1st 5 years, it is considered as private although foreigners are not eligilble to buy until after the 10th year.
  4. Joeted, You can always contact HDB to check. I called them check on this before and was told that the MOP is only applicable for the first EC owners and not to the resale buyers.
  5. From HDB website: The 5-year MOP is computed from the date of issuance of Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) in respect of each EC... Buyers of resale ECs are not eligible for CPF Housing Grant as such ECs are treated as equivalent to “private housing”. So I think you'll not be subjected to another MOP of 5 years when you bought the EC from open market (resale).
  6. 1) No MOP required for resale EC. But if you sold within the 1st 3 years, you need to pay seller stamp duty. 2) no constraint after 10 years. Foreigners are eligible to buy.

  11. I like the sofa as it feels very cosy. It's a bit small so probably I will buy a lounge chair to put in my hall. I will not use the recliner as I worried that my kids might spoil it (since there is no warranty to the mechanism). Nice laminate you have!

  14. Ya, the non-freezer and freezer sections are the same size. I dun mind actually as we cook daily (lunch and dinner) so the freezer section will come in handy to store the raw food. Are you bother by the MRT noise? I wonder if we do not switch on the aircon at night and open the windows, will it be too noisy?
  15. I think probably just excuses. BTW, how is your samsung fridge? I am looking to get a 2 door fridge. Thinking of either LG or Samsung. Any problem so far? I read reviews that the fridge have loud noises after a few months.

  20. Joleena, I also heard about the "2nd car" issue which I may face when I shift... Oh, your MBR shower set is normal one ah? I dun think the previous owner changed it. They can opt for it during the time they bought the unit.
  21. Hi Joleena, How is the stay at your new place so far? Need to ask you something about the bathroom shower set. For your MBR, previously do you have an overhead rainshower that is fixed at the top of the ceiling? Mine is like that and I wonder if I can remove that and buy another set of rainshower to replace it (but not fix on top of the ceiling kind). Did you replace the shower mixer for both MBR and common toilet?
