Will be moving into a new apartment soon and we realised that there this Scandinavian theme homes are very suitable for our 90 square metre space. Downgrading from our parents 30yo HDB to a new BTO is painful but can't escape. Would like to find some like-minded individuals to share some ideas on Space [& possibly Cost] saving ideas to achieve this look. Our Living room isn't this spacious but i think by hacking the wall we should be able to make it look more spacious. This is the look that me & my hubby instantly agree on.

you can try Contat Decoration, my ID brought me to their office before and we spoked about planks but eventually used Nyatoh with a simpler designer cos my MRS prefer something more modern. i got 6 of this black cage lamp from Taobao for RMB68 each. they are Diamond grade sellers http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.111.7ssGgk&id=36904931064&ns=1#detail but when i arrive the lamp shade looks somewhat different from the picture and 1 of it was slightly dented and was a bit out of shape. i can press it back cos the wire was actually thinner than the picture. we also got this LED egg shape bulbs from http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.61.rPlaCg&id=35845239897&ns=1#detail bulbs came alrite, all in good shape the only diiferent is that the light color in their page was orangish. but the one we got was more cool white. When my electrican installed and test the lamps, it tripped. 2 LED blew and the bulb's head is blacken and there was a plastic melting smell. at first i tot it was the bad quality bulbs so we went to get more bulbs locally. the lighting shop had similar LED. When fixing the new bulb we some how over tighten slightly and the black holder crack. we then carefully installed the rest and it trip again. grrrrr..... we then remove the bulb from the cracked lamp and its working. but after 30mins, we can smell the burning plastic smell again... how to complain to the vendor? should we ask Daiguo, i dunno how to communicate with the taobao seller. also. i already spend $80 for shipping it just not worth returning. anyone got same issue?

Love your post! I think my look will consist of the following: 1. Brickwall and cement 2. Nice Pipings for decor like storage integrated or actually wiring for lamps 3. Mesh wire as partition 4. industrial looking lamps 5. large wood table with steel legs 6. Red industrial vintage chairs - tested them in some food court, they are quite comfortable : ) i know my must have list is very normal cos i just started researching, do share if you have more ideas!

Yeah I got the cages from this shop too. cos amazon is too expensive. this cages are not eligible for free amazon shipping. cos its under $120.00 if i buy 10 shades from amazon, its going to cost SGD200+ with shipping. and shipping takes forever. There are some local lamp designers to check out. They look very industrial.

Their product is ok i guess. The Quality is better than others i have seen. The lamp look good in closer inspection. Some lamps look good from far but upon close inspection there materials are not that good. for the lamp i got, they use fabric wrap wires instead of those rubber one. so it does look more classy.

I know this bulbs are hard to find and i have pre-order them previously from https://www.facebook.com/likelights Just sharing them, in case u guys are looking for them as well. I just collected the Edison bulbs they look gorgeous. Quality of the bulbs are good. in fact better than what the bubble chandelier came with. Glass looks thicker and is a bit brownish [vintage look i guess] i also got the mirror one to play with. Below are my pictures. Trying around. Mixing 4 diff bulbs. Mirror ones looks good with a nice aura on the ceiling! Close up of the gems.

OMG that horrible!! the communication skills of the lighting shop sucks but its better to have them in black and white. Actually installation is not very ex. they could just add it into the selling price which we couldn't even notice. i remembered mine installation was something like: $40 for transport $10 per lamp $40 for suspended pendant lamps. I remembered this because the light shop also told me about the charges after i paid for all the items as well so i assume the light shop are seller and the installers are sub out. But i bought 2 lamps from ikea and 1 from Like lights [super difficult to install, took them 1hr] and the installer charges me the same rate. i round up a ask the installer to keep the change.

maybe u can call 96984977 for the warehousing guy. i paid around $400+/- was quite a deal, cos i saw this at FrancFranc selling at $699 and the wires are cheap looking.

for those who are keen, this people are importing them at around $20-$25 each im ordering 10pcs of the Teardrop, cos there is buy 4 get 1 free sorry for being not being very Eco-friendly, i realize that they are 40w each which are not that bad. i got the bubble chandelier from Likelights as Nloft recommended. the quality is better than those u see in shops like Air Divsion & FrancFranc. The wires are wrapped with cloth while others are just rubber some are even sticky. Good lobang Nloft & thanks! love the wires reflection after it lights up. my ceiling looks more interesting. Now im looking for this kind of bulbs, any recommedations? i've also ask Likelights but they don't seems to have them at the moment. i wish to have it before CNY as we are expecting guest to come.
