  1. Go for fiber if you want speed. Singtel is dedicated line, but due to it is riding on the telephone line, the speed is limited. that is the reason why most of the people complain about singtel. By the look at the current scenario, the all in one box will only be possible in 1-2 years. so if you want speed for internet go for M1 fiber, that is the cheapest. If you want EPL/f1/etc, then go for Mio TV. if you want cable TV then go for starhub. All selection is base on your priorities
  2. Normally i will buy my stuff from Best Denki as their extended warranty is at a good price, ~20%. Recently just discover that HM extended warranty is attractive too. Hence brought my Samsung washer. Audio House prices most of the time is the most attractive if you do not mind to have only 1 year warranty. If you wanted a extended warranty(5 years), then you should calculate the overall amount instead of just the initial price.
  3. I had ask the Audio house before on the extended warranty the salesman told me that they had it before. In other words, it is not a $$ making business. To me this is what you need to think 1. Do you mind to gamble on the probability of the machine go down after one year 2. What is the opportunity cause to estimated repair cost with respect on the extended warranty cost In summary, it is a short or long term gain thing Cheers
  4. as i have stated before, i am using OSIM ecology. I am not too sure does Philip have a vacuum and streamer. But i know that they do have a water filter vacuum
  5. The one i know is rainbow and osim. Rainbow is expensive but it had very good point that can be use on mattress. I think it is call the mattress beater. So if you want to clean your mattress weekly then it is a worthwhile investment as people are charging 50-100 per visit to clean mattress As for OSIM, i had one, it is okie, as it is using water filtering system so i can be use the clean the air. The only thing is that it is heavy, if you are not use to it, you will get blister when you first use it. I normally use the stream clean to kill gems but too sure how effective, as there is no way to measure. Hence, you need to know what is your reason to get a vacuum and stream cleaner then you know what to buy. By the way, i got my OSIM ecology from ebay around 500, which i think the price is good, if you ask me to buy it new, i doubt i will pay for it as > 1000
  6. I think Samsung have only one model for 8kg front load. My theory is this. 1. should buy extended warranty if it is below <20%. as normal house appliance should last for 3-5 years. 2. i use a front load as i have a dryer 3. all those technical jargon function on the appliance have no meaning if we cannot verify it, so for laymen, I just go with the load amount 4. To save electricity, we should minimize the use of per wash, I think 8kg is require for me as i need a single load for the bed linen 5. I did not want to buy a washer and dryer as in the more electronic in a appliance the more problem will surface In summary, everything seem good now as it is still new, base on my experience, problem will happen year, so with extended warranty, i have peace of mind. Hope that all my personnel experience and theory can help you all I am a very practical person so i just target on my objective and cost. If $$ is not a problem or does not have to have the best cost efficient, then you can fulfill your individual good to have good to have wants. To me there is no meaning of having the same brand if they do not have a special function for it. If it is for the TV and DVD player then it is a different story as you can have the convinent using the same remote control.
  7. Just brought a 8kg washer from samsung with 5 year extended warranty and <$1000. According to the sales person from the various shop. > 7.5kg is made in Korea, those below is made in china. I think it is recommended to buy extended warranty if the price it right. So far, the best price for extended warranty is best denki and Harvey Norman
  8. i think muji have it, way much cheaper then lifestorey
