  2. in terms of travelling sound / sound-proofing with marble flooring, u can hear noise fr living area (e.g., fr the TV) more clearly or loudly from your bedroom even when door's closed.
  3. Oops, wrong info - it shd be 2 pcs 2000mm x 600mm & 1 pcs 1000mm x 600mm = total $135
  4. Oh yes, forgotten, you're right. Mine is 8kg one... that explains Yup, I use the washing net for my delicates too
  5. Try this company: SJ Glass Trading 97389067 / 96314292 126 Joo Seng Road #02-06 I bought study tables from Ikea and ordered glass from them to place on top of my tables. 1 pc 2000mm x 600mm & 2 pcs 1000mm x 600mm = total $135 They're fast & reliable.
  6. FYI, if you have marble flooring (as compared to having ceramic or homogeneous tiles), be prepared to have noisier bedrooms (no matter how solid your doors are). That was the advice given to me by the boss of a popular door supplier company.
  7. For many contractors or IDs, it's usually $220 and up. The direct carpenter's price is usually lower. Of cos you gotta take into consideration the type of hinges they use - soft-closing? anti-slam? Sliding or not?
  8. wow, you're lucky! I need to wash mine every day - even that's 3/4 to full load already! the panel above the spin button shows '6, 3, 1' min. think will go read the instruction manual lah
  9. Our air-con installer suggested to place the aircon beside the bed instead of facing the bed cos he said it's not good for the air con to blow into our nose... quite true actually esp for us cos all of us have nose allergy
  10. I only allowed my TV console to be 'floating' so that there's less dirt collected under the narrow seam btw console & floor. It's easier to vacuum/mop the floor too. My kitchen & toilet floor tiles are dark-coloured. So easy to maintain, no obvious footprints or food stains that'll cause eye sore or panic attack for me to start mopping the floor again! Chose shower curtain over shower screen/glass cos 1 lesser item to clean. No suspended kitchen cabinets cos it's not practical for me - lesser storage, nest for pests, inconvenient to retrieve food items (e.g., onion, garlic) if they roll under the cabinets.
  11. Is yours a dark coloured wall or white? Mine doesn't leave any marks on my white walls
  12. I've been using the washer daily since it was delivered to us 2 weeks ago. Have been loving it. The kong kong sound didn't bother us at all. I don't find it loud and noticeable. Set it to Fuzzy all the time. Din bother to change the spin speed (dunno how to!). Very happy with the dry-ness of the clothes after every wash. The washing time is rather short too, always less than an hour. Yes, and the ending music always bring a smile to my face One reminder that all the washer salesperson tells me - always load the washer to 3/4 full if not it may spoil easily.
  13. Cos over 10++, or even 20 years alrdy, only Speed 3 is strong now.
  14. Hi, mine is a contractor's pricing, not direct electrician. I have both their numbers. If u r still keen, PM me.
  15. White-coloured sink is a big NO NO. Had it for 10 years - big headache cos it was so difficult to maintain!
  16. I've the base for my kitchen cabinets only. Dun think u need it for fridge & washer unless u heavy-wash the kitchen floor.
  17. You're right. We're still using our KDK standing fan of more than 10 years at Speed 3 cos that's the only speed left that's powerful. Oh yes, i just checked - we're using speed 2 (ceiling fan) for our bedroom and speed 3 for the kid's room.
  18. Speed 1 & 2 no use unless it's rainy day. Currently, we use speed 3 in our bedrooms all the time.
  19. Window Jockey quoted me $180 for my kitchen window grille of height 54.5" and width 70". Has anyone used them b4? Is the price reasonable? Thks.
