january, contractors are 90% one-kind. i dont deny the fact that there are still 10% good-hearted ones out there. at least u have voiced out ur unhappiness to him. 1) if he is willing to rectify, then its good 2) if he is unwilling to rectify & still crap around then u really is sway lor. but dont worry, im sure things will turn out fine in the end. maybe its year-end everyone rushing now...

you can find contractor to do wetworks for you (hacking and tiling and plumbing) this 3 is interlinked want lor. the rest all can go direct lah. see if ur contractor is honest, he will not mark up too high want lor. abit of $ let people earn lor. co-ordination is the nightmare. my newly-wed cousins did most themselves and end up everything screw up. waste even more $. but if u let a main-con do, anything screw up he will be held responsible.

samgalz is right. as consumers, we choose & compare prices. to me, their prices are all about the some just a few hundred minor differences between contractors. of course ID firms will definately be more expensive. the most impt whether you like & feel comfortable with the contractor??? and definately the cheapest is not a good idea, they will cut alot of necessary things like the bonding agent and all. i was very comfortable with mine, maybe because she was a female.
