So sorry about your bad experience, how confident you are for claiming back the claim you're going to bill them? my advise to you, just hire another contractor to complete your job with a very minimum and affordable cost, i don't want to disappoint you, you will get 0 cents for your claim in the end. This guy is very experience in closing company, your attorney has no way for him, trust me.

  5. That is the problem, he can only eat "One", that make the owners think hire designer should not be too far away from $500, he is pulling down the professional rate, more and more designer with passion in designing would rather work as something else. So cheap!
  6. I think he is spoiling the market... Can you imagine if there is a house owner who willing to pay $5000 to engage a designer, but he charge $500 for the same service? Then the designer eat what?

You have to see ten clients a month inorder to earn $5000..that's not alot you have to respond to every single call from the owner, and have to coodinate with the contractors...this is not easy man and have to spend time designing, provide 3 D drawing...Wow you are superman!! by all mean... YOU ARE UNDERPAID, with this type of service, you should market yourself- $5000 for one house NOT $500. $5000 allowed you to concentrate in a house is very reasonable for both owner & you.

  16. I agreed with you, ID should charge designing fee and let the owner go look for their own contractors. This should be the right system: 1- see ID and pay for designing fee or DIY 2- hire an project manager whom can meet owner's requirement or DIY 3- hire contractor whom can meet ID's requirement or DIY To be frank, this is what renovation is all about, but after all these years of Kiasu engagement (we are singaporean lah) your Question can be replied sadly- ID don't know eat what... lah

Hope our friends out there be the wise one asking the right thing... When seeking for the price for "an apple" online, wise seller should provide option price for both red apple & green apple.   19. Experience contractor & ID are able to quote base on description, especially if only base on HDB flat, estimation can not be far unless your description were not clear.

  21. If you really want to save up your pocket, you can visit ID firms for free design, and go DIY or look for contractor to do up your house I'm sure alot of people out there were doing that
