Didn't get the permit to demolish the pillar.. Any ideas on how to make pillar more appealing with the decor? Pls help..

Hi All, We just bought a flat and want to demolish the wall dividing the hall but not sure if we will get the permit from HDB to do so due to pillar / beam.
