Still waiting for the dorr contractor to reply. Thanks for the reminder Oh yea Gimz, no hurry. Will get it done in due time. 5. Yes, it's MÅNSTAD Corner sofa-bed from ikea, refer to my earlier post I take that as a kind compliment. thanks lazybum9 Colour selection is from wtb. She like subtle wood grains and it turned a lot better than we expected. it will be idea if the laminate grain would be symmetricial all the way, the 'flow' effect will turn out better. Have you concluded your kitchen cabinets colours/ laminates?
  6. Thank you one and all; Thank you for sharing this reno T-Blog with me. This has been one exciting renovation journey, getting to meet friends here, exchanging ideas and sharing of tips. Will be comming to an end of my renovation chapter.. However let me give some due reviews of my main cons and retailers. there's still one little outstanding task from my reno contractor still. Heh heh, seems like quite a no of ppl ask about the 'stove covers"
  7. I didn't know that, where is this documented? Nice, you would love this keyless system, trust me. my wtb was so against it initially and now she's loving the convenience. Any problem when you look for your gateman installer? To match your wpc windows? can't really tell because of the shadows...

  15. That's precisely my point, I don't recall eating at the dinning table in my own home, and neither does wtb. The dinning table has been a white elephant; only to be cluttered with pamplets and advertisements. But on another note; should we have kids in the future, we will get a proper dinner table. Till then it's this for now.
  16. It can fit any regular kitchen towel froggy, however it is limited to 30.4cm length aluminum foil. I didn't drill, a 3m mounting tape did the trick of holding the holder.
  17. Thanks january, Well, it's too early to make the call now as we're not moving in yet. Chances are, we would probably eat at the current place at the sofabed, the flexy allows the table height to be raised anyway, as there's only 2 of us. Only when we are expecting guests, then we will shift it to the 'dinning area'. The kitchen towel holder works like a charm. We has a house warming recently and the holder proves to be a useful tool. Having the aluminium foil and cling-wrap easily accessible, it makes kitchen cooking & preparation works smoother. Would recommend it.
  18. Coffee-table or Dinning table? Molecule, located at Great world city & Orchard central, carries an array of these furnitures. I had my eyes fixed on one of the space-saving coffee table convertables from the Orchard Central branch. remembered they are retailing the 'yoyo' for $2,300 and one of the coffe-tables for $3,700. http://www.resourcefurniture.com/space-sav...e-saving-tables The price is too steep to my liking despite the 15% GSS off. A bit more digging and seaching leads to a plesant find; XZQT offers a similar furnitures from calligaris, also from Italy. Located at ION, Kaki bukit & Pandan Crescent. Visited the ION branch, and was pleased to find the similar coffee table convertables that are offered at a lower price. E.g 'Flexy' for $1988 & 'Magic-J' for $2488 (prices before GST+Delivery). With GSS, most products are gng for 30% less + additional 7.5% for Amex cards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJAV3E8DdTE...feature=related Eventually I got the Flexy during the GSS (Yes, it was that long ago xP ) at 50% discount from the Pandan Cresent outlet from a display model (due to a 50 cent indented marks on the table, thought I could live with that flaw). I added 6 x olivia foldable chairs for dinning use. Flexy as coffee-table complimenting the Sofabed. The same Flexy as dinning-table When the olivia chairs are not in use, they are stowed away under the sofabed storage compartment. All 6 of them.
  19. Haha, tale a break and enjoy your fruits of your purchase. Yea, I've not come across a long ottoman with wheels yet, wil let you know if I come across one. Neverthless Calligaris has an expandable coffee-table with wheels called flexy. I happen to purchase this. Does having a blind at the area help? Good to hear that, I strongly believe a responsible id makes your renovation process much more enjoyable. All the best and happy new year.
  20. I saw the sunflower during my v6 purchase. Got my alpha v6 for RM $350 compared to those retailing S$360 locally so you might wanna give them a ring: Top lamp (Johor Jaya) is located at no 74, Jalan Dedap 13, Taman Johor Jaya 81100 JB. (tel) 607-355 6909
  21. Got this from Ossify's T-blog; Looking for LEIFHEIT/ RAYEN household products? Check out Hogarmas (the Leifheit kitchen towel-holder actually costs less than that of Johnlittle expo sale Got a good deal of goodies with free delivery cum free gift (they actually given me one more ironingboard+cover, saying that I spent above $300)
  22. Haven't put up the pics for the curtains yet; here it goes: Fully drawn curtain; to act as a partition for my WIW opened Hi Istel, looks like you are doing well on your side too. For a breif moment I was considering Ikea Blinds. But decided to pay a bit more; to do it good and do it once. Prehaps you would ike to assess the current condition of the blinds as well as budget? These are the things that you can always change anytime in the future; don't rush into a hasty decision. Ya, the solidt-top was depressing.. haven't had a chance to pop by Home-fix to check out some quick fix for this issue. Hiaz. No I didn't get those high-range solid-top; mine costs about only $70pfr. Not sure was it the quality of the solid-top or was it the black-colour of choice that results the scratches.. Given another chance, I would have rather gone for a studier Indian Granite
  23. I'm sorry to hear the trumatic experience with Alumix, good to hear that everything was resolved now. Able to fit in the blinds and drawers opening nicely? Strangely, Alumix is hiring these workers despite the knowledge of these relentless complaints, and they don't intend to do anything about them?
  24. Haha, oh yea, It's LV. No worries mate, the blinds already come fitted with the rubber damper. Blinds for my MBR All fitted with rubber damper The 2metres+ Blind for my utility room There was some recommendation of doing a 2x 1m blinds from Mosses, the site-sales person. His concern was that the mechanism may not be able to take the weight for the large blinds. I insist on having one piece instead of 2, don't like the idea of a stray light in between the gap of 2 blinds. moreover, one blind looks cleaner as well. Eventually there was an upgrade in the mechanism (well, outwardly the physical item looks no different) to fit the job.
  25. A little late but better late than never; Blinds, Curtain, Solar films. Now I have my privacy against prying eyes These qare essentials especially when you have a common corridor, or your neighbouring block is just a stone's throw away. As previously mentioned I engaged Home classics Interior furnishing. The aolar Film was installed by another contractor, whist the company iinstalled the curtains and blinds. They provided quality Vuitton blinds for my whole house; Total damage for 4 blinds (including a 2 meters length at utility room, 2.4m full length curtain, 2 solar films) is $985. Vuitton Blinds Black-out blinds at the main hall
