  1. Just saw this on Straits times today. KingKoil Warehouse Sale Date: 31st Aug - 3rd Sept Duration: 9am- 9pm Location: Matsu****a Greatwall Corp Pte Ltd 13 Sungei Kadut Way, Matsu****a House S728792
  2. As far as I remember, Besglas offers a relatively good price for these simple configuration, as they are charged by per item; i.e by no. of shelves, poles used. Check my Sig under WIW for more elaboration. Sorry just a quiry, is 2200mm enough for you? My L-shaped configuration of 2800mm x 1800mm is running low on space liaoz. My personal territory is being risk of occupied of my wifey I get what you mean, something ike what i did. As May_dream suggest, check with the HDB authority for permission first. (I remembered some forumer successfully reconfigured their WC orientation) Dunlopilo and Kingcoil offers good quality mattress too. Most mattress companies now offers pocket springs with various comfort layers on the top. Earlier, I was eyeing on Sealy and was swearing at how comfortable it is. After reading this post The mattress story More importantly is, remember to bring you and your partner to try out the various mattress Physically, yes, i mean go and lie down for 5 mins or do, lie by the side/ back/ front. I'm a back sleeper while my wofe is a side-sleeper. I like soft plush mattress while my wife prefers firm ones.
  3. haha, that makes he two of us. Not many forumers are active after they have completed their renovation. Thumbs for you, May_dream for the most supportive reno vorumer award. I'm actually expecting a new member into the family. Looking around to furnish my not-so "empty-room" for baby. Any ideas or things I should look out for? Heavenlander, wawakaka5. You are most welcome. Any question or quires on reno, feel free to ask. Travelling lobang also can ask
  4. Comfirm cheaper. Likewise, I purchased my Fans, lights and LED from JB. The shop owner will test every single bulb before you bring back to SG. it has been 2 years since I've been using them. No issues so far. Check out my Sig, under Lightings for prices and location of the shop. 2 more days to your 1st apt!
  5. Hi my3rmflat, i'm not sure how much wenwen's quote are, but I've sent you a contact. hope it helps. Yea sohnice, sometimes, forumers didnt follow thru the blog and some ended after their renovation completed. Nevertheless, who knows wenwen may pop in again.
  6. Hi Tigeroo, Happy to see that your reno is almost completed. If you don't mind my inputs on your cooking area.. Do you or your partner cook often at home? Having a tight area by the corner looks less than ideal. The plugs above the hob would be rather redundant w/o a place to put your appliances (unless it's for the hood) Is there a backsplash at the backing of the cooking area, as chances are oil will splatter around the area. Your ID/ Contractor ought to be mindful of these detals Cheers.
  7. Hello MrsLoo, Just came aross and learnt that you are looking for WIW stuffs, I've done some homework for my reno previously. Click on my sig on "WIW/Pole system #253" below, got mine from my contractor and Esther from Closetdesign. Also, I have contact for Prego Laminates I was offered a very good price previously. PM me if you need any help.
  8. Hi Nexer, I'm sure you and your partner are excited about upcomming electronics purchase; do hear my 2-cents before you start buying. I was just sharing with forumer lovenestinjw (thought i saw double, he/she also bought the grohe handshower) "Do avoid them them too earlier (unless it is really a Gd deal) As you need to (i) move these bulky stuffs yourselves instead of having them delivered to your renovated home. (ii) your warranty period is running before you even use them." So you might lose out some 4 months of warranty before you start using them in Dec.
  9. The chassis is made from metal but the nozzle area is plastic. That's smart ordering online. Didn't cross my mind back then. I love the grohe/ hansgrohe product, quality is value for money.
  10. Very neat and chic. +thumbs up+ I have trouble trying to keep my place minimal, Things are cluttering everywhere LoL
  11. Wow, you bought your electronics stuffs real early. Do avoid them them too earlier (unless it is really a Gd deal) As you need to (i) move these bulky stuffs yourselves instead of having them delivered to your renovated home. (ii) your warranty period is running before you even use them. I love Grohe products, a little exe but worth every value. Do lookout for their sales. Able to repost?
  12. WOW, that's a beautiful makeover of your home. After months of the renovation journey, I'm sure you are pleased with the completed works. Congrats for moving in Janelle. bblifeiz, not entirely true. A 3-room basic overhual would cost between $28-$35k. (additional stuffs like feature walls, made-to-meaure cabinets/ Wardrobe (you can buy off the shelf), false ceiling can contribute quite an amt to your bill) The rest depends on quality of the products that your ID/ contractor that is giving. Tiles, laminates, worktop and accessories (sockets, dampers, pipes)
  13. Rover, Noted that you have quite a no. of made to measure cabinets. On the first glance, it looked rather expensive. IDs would have costs somewhere 20%- 35% more than a contractor, than again there's lots of contractor calling themselves ID in the market. The electrical and plumber seems on the high sight. Have you gotten a second quote? I was KS, had 3-4 quotes, asked until shoik then I settled down with my contractor. Just some thoughts; Would you be cooking very often in your home or doing deep drying stuffs? As I would thought tt eating outside is much more economical than cooking for one pax. Should that be the case, would you even need to tile your kitchen wall? Or hack your kitchen floor tiles, waterproof and re-tile? You can do an overlay. This would save some $3.2k easily. Agree, I quote "you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. then again some monkeys are asking for macadamia nuts".
  14. is the quote itemised? My pole system is done by my contractor. I have engaged Closetdesign as well, reliable and alright. refer to my Sig.
  15. Hello heavelander, You are most welcome. Lobangs must share. I've updated by signatures with the shortcuts to facilitate the forumers access.
  16. Do you like to travel? Better still, get the best travel deals and even get paid from it. Ask me how.

  17. After some period of time, we finally found a rack that fits my requirements price and function; SoHO M-series from GAWA
  18. well, at that point of time, we have no money but we can afford the time. Hence we can juggle around and source for the 'best deals' available. My renovation consists of my main contractor and some subcon. Edmund covers majority of the renovation which amounts to about $24k, the total damage of the renovation (which consisting of the sliding mirror TV console, laminates etc) costs $29k.
  19. Hi Nexer, I went on a Charity Fundraising Event, was trying to rise money for St. Andrews Autism Center, in aid for the special kids from the school. https://www.give.sg/TeamGIVE/dextai/racing-for-autism What happen to you? Speedy recovery and good luck for your contractor hunt.
  20. Hey May_dream, how are you? it's been quite a while. you are still active in Renotalk Oh yes, Nexer. Prehaps you would want to take pictures of both the WC and the shower room, primarily the piping would be the concern should you wish to link the two together. Thereafter, your contractor would need to seek clearance to the HDB. And I must say, he condition of your house look fantastic! The tiles look good for the kitchen. Is the living room and the kitchen level? The walls probably need to go according to your draft. Hmm, that's about it at the first glance. Do post more photos. And Jaskel's an experienced ID, do check out his previous projects.
  21. Hi cutebaby, welcome to renotalk and tpy neighbourhood. just a thought, instead of asking ppl for ideas, why don't you source around this T-blogs and get some inspirations. You will know what you wan eventually. Discuss with a partner, thereafter get about 3-5 quotes from different contractors and work from there. You can check out my T-blog, I've shared severeal 3-roomers link on my 1st page. If you are still clueless, you may consider hiring an ID. Hope this helps.
  22. hello,

  23. Hello Nexer, Congrats on your new house. It's an exciting new step and phase of life. My pleasure for sharing the research (and I hope it is still valid, it's been 2 yrs already), i know perfectly how you are feeling as there are a thousand and one things to do. 25k will do you decent renovation. Features wall, tiles **** room and bedrooms etc are luxuary and these incurrs cost, so doing without them will save money. I would love to show you my hse, however it's really messy now as we just returned from overseas trip. I've drop you my contact number for quiries. Do go thru my T-blog as I have left quite some KM and tips inside. Cheers
  24. Sorry for MIA, was away overseas and didn't frequent renotalk. I have quite a number of ppl asking for my contractors no. He is Edmund Goh from A-decor and can be reach at 98157337. Don't bother sending him emails, instead meet up with him one to one and he will run through yor renovations plans with you. Good luck for your renovations.
