  1. Wow, 2 days of absence and my T-blog becomes a place for simple-human and GB liaoz.. Yea, I conquer with reglzt, I like the clean and quality finish of Simple-human products. Guys, do take note of the shipping cost, add a 7% GST if your purchase exceeds $400 (including shipping costs) I've just gotten my plastic-bag holder too, 42.90 from Ikea looks like you are really a simple-human follower. May I interest you in this: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...t=0#entry581938 hmm another group buy coming up? I've seen the 25L bin too, the 'butterfly flap', love the slow-close mechanism.. but on another thought, do you need a trashcan that big a size? you would continuously need to purchase their trashbags as well too isn't it?
  2. Marshmallow, you mbox is full Let me revert to you in a bit; need to tie down some stuffs with marshmallow
  3. It's a hard to tell if it is costly or not; it would make things easier if you know your blinds are how much psf? market rate is qute vast; for my vutton blinds; neighbout shop are selling $7 psf, the shop I got it from is currently retailing $3.5 whist I got it from promo price of $2.9. yea, reizzz's pretty right about this.
  4. well, if there's a better deal for you guys on the weekends why not? mashmallow, would you give the sales pax a call, charm the Hogarmas guy, ask for a discount la, with 10 orders in hand, that is pretty impressive liaoz. So I'm assuming that Sleek is getting the stuffs and you guys will be collecting from Sleek's place; His place should be ard WCP or pandan I suppose? My plan was I'd be at my new apt for my family's house warming on Sun, as such ppl, whom purchase can drop by to collect at a more convenient time at tpy. So orders have to be made earlier than fri for items to be delivered and recieved before sunday.
  5. BNIB refers to "Brand New In Box" You must be refering to the bigger one (14 Oz). At US 25, it's definitely a better price than SG, do they ship straight to SG? else you've gotta do it via vpost. Shipment shouldn't cost more than $20 (base shippment of vpost is about $13.50), so it should add up to about $50+? it's gng at SG$70+ from the last time i bought them.. strangely both sizes are retailing similar price at Home-fix. infrared thrashbin? wow, that sounds impressive.. I suppose it opens its lids automatically? must show us your high-tech bin when it arrvies.
  6. comming from a black solid-top point of view, i wouldn't excatly say that it is prone to scratch, but the scratch marks are very very obvious to the naked eye. hence for a moment of time i was wondering if i had should have invested in a better quality kitchen-top or just to choose another colour instead. I have a black backslpash, it was overlayed with a tempered glass, works fine. .
  7. Thanks for dropping by Reiki, Pick up some tricks from your T-blog too, I love the painting the base-socket grey thingy.. it looks great. Lazybum9, That is a good idea actually, It should definitely cost cheaper than SG, my current ones are old dispenser (big one for cleaning detegent, small for hand soap) brought over from old place.. and I've got the additional small soap dispenser "sprout sensor soap pump" but never been used, You want BNIB? $50 I find them really useful as it free the need to pump for the detegent while scrubbing the cooking utensil.. or prehaps, I'm just getting lazy..
  8. Simple human products are available from Home-fix DIY, Harbour front carries a range of them, however for the soap dispenser, it is only available from the Tampines One Home-fix branch. Quite expensive; retailing at $70+ per unit. Thanks istel.

  14. Hi LPG Hope that I'm not too late to give my 2-cents worth. Do take note of your kitchen layout then, since you mentioned that kitchen is a frequently used place. I'm assuming you love to cook? baking and stuffs? On that note; do factor to have those Wash&Wear Paint for these areas (we opted out kitchen wall tiles for savings as well) Also factor your kitchen workspace (aka preparation space), kitchen triangle and layout, these minor details actually makes your cooking process much more plesant and enjoyable Can check out my T-Blog for my kitchen considerations here; I've gotten Pergo family laminates for my bedrooms & living Hall, costs me <$1,700. Edmund has been in this line since 1998, my first meeting with him gives me an ernest first impression. And thus far, even till now, he has been contactable and approachable for my renovation works. My renovation works was completed last month. I've just recently reminded him about the replacement of our kitchen cabinet doors above the kitchen hood, he replied,"oh it is ready, just waiting to fix." I was pleasantly surprised and subsequently got it replaced the following day. Prehaps one thing I noted is he is particular more of presentation and neatness. One recommendation which I regretted heeding was to have a uniform level for my top-kitchen cabinet. No doubt it looks nice, but it wasted good kitchen space by not flushing the kitchen cabinet to the ceiling. His quotes may not be the cheapest but definitely very reasonable, as a matter of fact, it's second lowest priced quote. I enjoy working with Edmund as he allows flexibility of omiting out stuffs that I later deem not necessary; one such example is my washing machine+ fridge base. Do also take note that additional of works at a later stage will incurr additional costs as well which I feel that it is fair enough. I did take note that some costs are covered complimentry as well, out of goodwill; like additional of my front door kerb, relocate my living room socket and one big item; leveling of my bedroom. So would I recommend Edmund, Yes. ps: froggy, I've highlighted Edmund of the issue.
  18. Back to the solid-top issue. Got some solution from Home-FIx DIY: works pretty well actually. before: scratches and blurrs After Happiness is restored.
  19. I know what you mean gimz... Janelle, has a relatively spacious toliet, with about 2000 to play, she can afford a shower (700), basin (600) wc (500) provided that she's reconfiguring wc to P-trap. Let her check with her ID as what vratenza suggests, is it worth the reconfiguration. Janelle, do you have any pic of your mbr toliet? wonder if there's any pipes around the area?
  20. Thank you reglxt, I didn't get a gatesman model, I got the Yale YDM 4109 from one of the forum's groupbuy You can find it here
  21. Good to know that, Yea, i totally understand what you mean, my alpha fan doesn't come with a ceiling bracket.. or what you call a hook, in the end my contractor gotta source it for me.. the one he got, after the electrician fixed them turned out to be wobbly, as you said probably due to the wrong size.
  22. Is that one piece of shower screen? any doors to it? just sharing my contact from AOS; shower screen tempered glass, 1 fixed, 1 slide for $450.
  23. Hi marshmallow, It's my previledge to 'show-off' my long awaited project. really satisified to see it completed in real state; i still remember i was doing all these measurements and free-hand sketching half a year ago. Thankews thankews. hihi oinkx2 1999, silly me, how can you be born in 1999, that would make you; 11yrs young? haha. Anyways guys& gals; remember to CALL and Make appointment with them, check the stocks before heading down. I went down to recee once, only to find out that it is closed, a wasted trip but thank God I live near there. Yupz, 3M tape will do, buy the glass edition (if you are sticking on those glass surface) Haha, the enthusiasm from the conversation make it sound like a 'Group Buy'
  24. You must have save from JB shopping as well I hope your tolietries/ saintarywares delivery has been resolved? Ought to have completed tilting by now yes? Do keep your pics comming. All the best on your renovation journey mistgun.
  25. I'm sure that can be done, an overlay over the previous ones and throw in some soft-close dampers from ikea (3 for $7) there you have; a retrofitted kitchen cabinet. Haha, that's a good thing about forums and decor magazines. You get inspirations from them and never imgine that this combi is possible or would look so gd. Do you have a colour theme? It's best to capture from real deal rather than 3Ds rendering, the real thing would usually turn out slightly different. my 2-cents.
