  1. Very nicely done up neubie. Clean and spacious look. I love it. Just a thought that I would have almost the identical lighting layout+ ceiling fan as your hall. (noticed that you have 4 PLC each sides on the front portion of the hall, is it a bit overkill? I planned to have only two) but then, you will be done up and move in even when i commence my renovation. Keep the pictures comming!
  2. this thread has been previously discussed here Have not come across a round table thought. goodluck
  3. you may wanna check with forumer "froggy" her T-blog as follows: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=30807
  4. My same sentiments Enjoy your new cave Curryqueen. Thanks for sharing cost of the sliding door, it's way above my budget unfortunately.
  5. Hello marshmallow, sorry if this comes abit late; You can get those mirror cabinet from AOS I customised mine for $440+ for a 90cm(h) x 90cm(w) x 16cm (depth).
  6. I was told that GC has his own crew for aircon installation?
  7. I had to settle with a 450mm width washing machine and this was the next best option that is available. Most 450mm washing machine only caters to 5-6kg load. Other than that MIL highlyly recommends thomson and her previous item lasted fer for more than 10years. I've bought it and waiting for delivery.
  8. Hello all, Wish to find out if bi-folds allow locking mechanism for both sides? Or would you have any recommendation for such kinds of doors (for use in bathroom) TIA Hi c2k_74 Pd shop from Balestier? Swing-Slide? Don't understand your requirements for your glass dor. Are you looking for swing? or slide? Swing can check out Ausscreen
  9. Hi Goobii, you are one of the early 3-roomers whose renovation I followed quite closely to.. think I'm quite hardup with the alpha V6 cos of you and ossify. Oh yes, it is original alright, contractor even asked if he could keep the retro switches. heh Hi Yuene, I remember you, the one with the 'workers party' tape for hacking. Just revisited your blog and you're in your midstage of your renoworks already. Well done!
  10. thanks for dropping by Yuene, At the blink of an eye, you've already completed your tiling and plastering. Looks good.
  11. Hello KM, Would like to hear the oven guru's opinion on the selection of a basic oven. I'm looking for an Oven with basic features (for my WTB's baking needs). Would probably use it for Pizza. cookies and some roasting. I'm deciding between the Ariston's FD 61.1 ICE and EOB31002x/EOB31001X Function wise the EOB31002x maybe just short of the FD 61.1 I'm attracted by the aethestic look of the ICE though. May I have your inputs? TIA.
  12. Yea, it is seperated. And I wanted an additional entrance from MBR for convenience, Thanks but just got news from my contractor that shower area for extended not approved. will be reverting to my original plan to have it as basin, which is like yours..
  13. I've got the the same pull-out hood as you, EGG7432S with hob EFP 9520x. Costs me $508 during the Electrolux sale. Will be eyeing on a similar built in oven EOB 31001X, got a really good quote from queensway previously. The items are still in showcase condition, Like you I've yet to commence on my renovation, looking fwd to it in 2 weeks time.. currently waiting for demolition approval.
  14. Impressive progress neubie. fast & furious, guess by the time I start my work, yours would have already completed! Do you mind sharing your sequence of renovation? Interesting window combination; Lourve+ Slide
  15. Ho Paulchng, Nice to see another enthauisatic 3-roomer. Welcome to renotalk. Wow, seems like you have bought quite a number of things liaoz.. Looks like you have expensive european taste Electrolux & Hansgrophe. Good investment. Wanna compliment on the service line on the Electrolux; recently went to change my new LPG gas burner to City gas burner for the hob I purchased in June. Not only did he waited for me past office hours, they did change it for free. *thumbs up* Did you get all your items during the warehouse sale?
  16. You might wanna put www.avalon2u.com on your list? Got my Alpha V6 fan at the same price tagged as SG, except that it's in RM.

    Sofa-beds?

Coincidentally, I'm eyeing on the manstad as well; there's 2 colours to choose from.. what is your choice that is out of stock? May I recommend Dozz bedding @toa payoh. They have a range of sofa beds as well. Good luck.
  19. Hello froggy & neo0mesis, Nice of you to drop-by. It's been quite a while since I added any entry into this blog.. Yes, Edmund is handling bulk of my renovation projects, left the grills, laminates and wardrobe systems. Everthing is good and underway, demolition permit is pending approval. Expecting to start work after 10/10/10.
  20. Waaa.. got spot-check one? Prehaps to check for illegal subletting? Did he armed himself with your floorplan?
  21. Thanks for you wellwishes. Yup, as a matter of fact I have the mirror image of your floorplan. Will probably know the results in 5 days time.
  22. Hi froggy, Time really flies, see that you are moving in real soon liaoz. I'm unsure of the term HO as well. However I want to share my previous reno experience at my current home.. despite all the renovation is completed, there's still dirt and dust despite several rounds of cleaning up. Guess this is unavoidable.

    Locksmith

Are you refering to this: durolock I'm assuming that you are required to change all the cam-lock for gate & letterboc & cylinder dead bolt for the main door in order to have access with the duro-key? Is that's the case that would set back $173 w/o keys (keys at $10 each?)
  24. Hello Shiroi25, Like you I'm a first timer in this renovation journey with lots of ignorance.. I have recently purchased Alpha V6 fan at half the price of what is retailing here RM$350 to be exact. I remember she says there's warranty coverage, but of course it's going to be a hussle, to uninstall and bring back to JB. Will be collecting the next weekend. I was told by my contractor that he is able to install the fan however he may have issues if it requires balancing. From what I understand, only wooden fans require balancing (do correct me if I'm wrong). Hope this helps.
  25. Hi Leeman, Most shops are retailing Alpha Fan at that price. the better deal locally is actually from A-lightings going at $290. Nevertheless I got my 2 alpha v6 from JB for RM$350 each, will be collecting next week. Let me know if you want the contact. Cheers.
